"Why's he so fussy today?" Freya said holding Rian in her arms, he wasn't sleeping well. He kept closing his eyes for a few minutes and then waking up again.

"What's wrong baby? It's definitely not a fever, is your stomach hurting you?"

The other three kids were sleeping soundly, so she walked out of their room. She walked down to their living room and sat own on the sofa turning on the television.

She took out her breast hoping Rian was just hungry but he just stared at it like he was being insulted by being offered food.

"Not hungry then, you usually jump at the chance." She sighed. "You miss daddy don't you? He has a lot to explain, can you believe him? Just leaving without explanation. If there was a problem at work he should've just said."

Freya continued her complaining to Rian as though the child could hear him. The conversation went on for several minutes.

"This programme is being disturbed for some breaking news. Officials have found a mine just outside the upper district, that seemed to have been a base for illegal activities. The masterminds behind these atrocities must have been tipped off because when the officials got there, everybody had been killed in cold blood.

"The footage we're about to show you is very sensitive, so please do shut it off if it is something that could trigger something, chase your young children away from the room too."

The reporter finished, immediately the change of scenery happened. The camera was walking through the dead guards and bloodied mess the place had turned to be. It was shown along with somber music, no doubt attempting to seek sympathy from the citizens.

Freya looked away, she couldn't bear to look at it anymore. The thought of how young the people who were shown dead made her sad, as a mother of so many young children.

She couldn't help thinking what if this was Kiro or Loki, or even her husband. She had to remind herself that two of her boys were safely in their rooms, while Philip had been away to the middle district for a while now and Sekani was simply just missing.

His disappearance and what was being reported on TV right now was too much of a coincidence. But she didn't see how he would be at that mountain, he never mentioned anything about it before.

"It's theorised by officials that the mine was being used as a slave mine. People who've went missing over the years had been kidnapped and sent there to dig the mineral our society needs for energy. This mine has been working and selling this mineral to the government for billions for years now, these people have been exploited, strange enough no sign of them had been caught.

"It's believed that once they were tipped off they managed to transport these slaves somewhere else. It is truly sad. Oh hold on, we are getting something..."

There was silence for a while.

"Two culprits have been arrested in connection to this. They were caught at the mountain trying to run away from the officials."

The woman reporter kept running the story. Whichever channel Freya turned to, they were running the same thing. No normal programming was on, just this.

Except for the TV, there was peace and quiet, Freya looked down and for the first time Rian seemed to have calmed down and was fast asleep in her arms. She didn't want to wake him so she didn't get up.

Afraid that the slightest movement would wake him up again. Rian wasn't really a fussy child, that was Liyana that's why it was such a shock for her about this.

"Why's dad on TV?" A voice from behind suddenly shouted, causing her to jump from the sofa and waking up Rian.

"Gods Ki, could you be a little quieter next time? Your brother here is restless, he won't sleep. I have no idea what's wrong with him!" She scolded.

But Kiro wasn't listening to that, he was looking at the news report. He came down here to get something to eat, taking a break from trying to save the universe and then this greeted him.

"I'm here with official Williams, who is responsible for catching the two men who tried to erase evidence and run away from them at the slave mine, sir what exactly happened? Why reveal their names now?" The reporter asked.

"Thank you for getting here so quickly. The government had been meaning to go up there for a while now, to assess the situation and see it was in good working standard.

"Naturally, yesterday was that day. You could imagine our shock when we were greeted with such a sin, we caught Sekani Waynworth and Jesús Silva trying to escape us. As you can see, they put a fight." He pointed to his swollen parts of his face.

"But we didn't want to shoot them, we couldn't. We wanted to take them alive so they could answer for their crimes."

The reporter nodded dutifully.

"As for your last question, we had to reveal their identities to set a precedent. It doesn't matter to us who you are or which family you're from or how much money you have. We are the officials of the law, we follow evidence and arrest suit. We wanted this to be a warning to anyone who thinks they can do as they please."

Freya was at a loss for words, her husband was arrested, what's more, he was running an illegal slave mine that made him billions while they lived in the lower district trying to make ends meet...She laughed, it didn't make any sense, any official who thought this made sense needed to be fired.

"Ki, what the hell is your father involved in?"

Kiro couldn't look her in the eye, he looked at the roof closing his eyes. He took a deep breath, he couldn't believe he let himself get caught like this.

'What the hell am I supposed to tell her, dad?'
