Infinite Evolution of My Territory

Chapter 47

C47 – Primordial Shrine

In the Lord’s World, there was an abundance of professions to choose from, and he had to find one that was right for him.

The Primordial Shrine held an air of profound mystery, with each profession inside being a rare and hidden one.

He had never before encountered a profession known as “Talisman God.” Regrettably, it didn’t appeal to him, so he had no choice but to pass it by.

He pressed on toward the divine bridge as the vast expanse of the void shifted once more. A black hole emerged, revealing a caption.

Bow God: Conon’s Legacy!

“Conon!”

Qiang Nantie paused at the sight of this name.

Conon was a figure of legend from Earth’s Stragro, who wielded a divine bow to slay nine suns and vanquish countless vile beasts—a truly legendary character.

After a moment’s contemplation, he resolved to move on. With a myriad of legacies at his fingertips, there was no need to rush.

Soon after, another figure materialized in the void.

Dragon God: Lian Le’s Legacy!

“Dragon God Lian Le?”

He was unfamiliar with this figure. It seemed to be the legacy of a divine dragon. Could he possibly be in line to inherit the legacy of a dragon?

It appeared that individuals of any race could receive a legacy in this place.

Qiang Nantie continued his journey, encountering an array of legacies as he went.

Spear God: Cosmos’ Legacy!

Fire God: God of Fire’s Legacy!

Ruler of Heaven: Chen Quantian’s Legacy!

Warlord: Derkylos’ Legacy!

Beast God: Zhang Cheng’s Legacy!

Some of these names were known to him, others were not.

They included legendary figures from the myths of Whispering Land as well as those from Earth’s diverse mythologies.

Naturally, there were also many figures he had never even heard of. Each person’s legacy here was a formidable presence.

The legacies were innumerable, each unique, immensely powerful, and precious.

Acquiring these legacies required passing a Trial, and only those of considerable strength would be deemed worthy.

Qiang Nantie’s heart raced with excitement.

Each profession was formidable, but he could only choose one legacy. Thankfully, each came with an introduction. By simply using his thoughts to connect with the legacy space, he could grasp an overview of what each legacy entailed.

With this approach, he could selectively pursue the inheritance that best aligned with his unique traits.

As he journeyed, hundreds of inheritance black holes sparked to life.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

A golden black hole shone brightly. Qiang Nantie paused.

Heavenly Sovereign: The Anytus Inheritance!

Another inheritance caught his eye.

Anytus was akin to a progenitor of humanity, the foremost among the Three Sovereigns. His accomplishments eclipsed those of the Earth Emperor and the Lord of the Humans.

Anytus’s legacy was remarkable. Born in the primordial era, he devised the Eight Trigrams, safeguarding humanity’s core and igniting the flame of human civilization.

He guided his people toward growth and strength. He had achieved much, and Qiang Nantie knew only a fraction of his deeds.

Upon examining the Anytus inheritance, Qiang Nantie discovered its exceptional nature. It promised to bolster his strength and fortify his territory, making it the ideal inheritance for him.

His power was derived from his territory. The more robust the territory, the greater the support it provided. While other inheritances had their merits, none were as comprehensive as that of Anytus.

The Primordial Shrine issued a reminder: “Do you confirm your choice of the Heavenly Emperor Anytus’s inheritance? Each race may select only one inheritance. Failure in the Trial means a thirty-day wait before the next opportunity. Within the inheritance space, time flows at a ratio of 100:1 compared to the outside world.”

Qiang Nantie was taken aback.

Should he fail, he could attempt the Trial monthly until he prevailed.

Furthermore, each inheritance was exclusive. Once chosen, it remained closed to others unless relinquished or upon the chooser’s demise.

One could only commit to a single inheritance, Qiang Nantie included.

“A 100:1 time ratio between the inheritance space and the outside world implies that a hundred days within equates to merely a single day without.”

This was an undeniable advantage for Qiang Nantie. He could ill afford extended absences from his territory, especially since it was still in the throes of the newcomer’s trial.

Nonetheless, he departed the Primordial Shrine for his territory. Before embarking on the inheritance, he had to ensure all affairs were in order.

He located Huamo and the others.

“Huamo, I need to discuss something with you. I’m about to enter the Primordial Shrine for my inheritance, and I’m not sure how long it will take.”

Since he was uncertain about the duration of his stay, he briefly filled them in on the details concerning the Primordial Shrine.

“Huamo, if I’m not back in time, I’m entrusting you with the management of everything here.”

With the formidable abilities of Huamo and Bi Yu, plus Le Cili and the others safeguarding the territory, he was confident that even if he couldn’t return by tomorrow, the territory would remain secure.

Given that the time ratio between the inheritance space and the outside world was 100:1, he knew he wouldn’t be inside for an extended period.

“Don’t worry, as long as I’m here, I’ll ensure the territory remains safe from any monsters. Go and embrace your inheritance with peace of mind.”

Huamo was sure of her ability to handle this.

“I’ll be there to support Huamo as well,” added Bi Yu.

“I’m leaving the territory in your capable hands. Before I depart, I’ll summon additional White-robed Ghost Troops. The territory has expanded, and we need more hands on deck.”

After issuing his final instructions, Qiang Nantie, accompanied by the two women, headed directly to the barracks.

“Lord, welcome!” Ruan Shijia greeted Qiang Nantie with a prompt salute.

Qiang Nantie gave a nod and proceeded to the summoning platform.

A notification from the territory appeared: “You have spent 1000 Soul Coins to summon a White-robed Ghost Troop.”

He summoned a total of 20 White-robed Ghost Troops, costing him 20,000 Soul Coins.

He had summoned only soldiers, no special commanders—a slight disappointment, but Qiang Nantie was prepared for this eventuality.

“Greetings, Lord!” The 20 soldiers knelt on one knee before Qiang Nantie.

“Rise,” he commanded.

He then elevated their levels to Level 10, which substantially depleted his remaining Soul Coins.

As Qiang Nantie entered the shrine, Bi Yu had already unlocked all the treasure chests. True to Qiang Nantie’s expectations, in the Treasure Room, the chests stacked together could be opened all at once, a significant time-saver for the task.

“Going forward, Ruan Shijia will serve as your captain. You must follow his commands,” Qiang Nantie commanded.

“Yes, sir!” all the soldiers responded in unison.

Qiang Nantie then made another announcement: “As I need to undergo the inheritance, Huamo will manage the affairs within our territory during my absence. You are to obey her directives.”

“Yes, sir!”

This clearly demonstrated Huamo’s esteemed status in Qiang Nantie’s regard.

Once he had issued his instructions, Qiang Nantie advised them to turn in early. He sought out Le Cili and others, instructing them to heed Huamo’s commands as well.

Later, accompanied by the two women, Qiang Nantie arrived at the entrance of the Primordial Shrine. Gazing upon the enigmatic edifice, he assured them, “I’ll return as quickly as I can. Once I emerge, you too will have the opportunity to enter and receive the inheritance.”

With the women watching intently, Qiang Nantie stepped into the Primordial Shrine.
