Chapter 1041: From Beyond The Cracked Sky [Part 2]

As the rain fell within the Realm of Janvidr, the Giantess couldn't help but frown.

She could tell that this wasn't an ordinary rain because it only started raining when the beautiful mermaid had started singing.

The Gargoyles weren't fazed by the rain, and only thought of it as a minor inconvenience. Chloe, who was looking at Ethan, and Illumina in the distance, waved her wand around her, creating a barrier that prevented her body and clothes from getting wet.

It took the effort of the Alliance, as well as Ethan and Illumina using their Legacy Resonance in order to turn the tide of battle in their favor.

Despite calling out the Fairies, and the power of his Celestial Domain, it would not be enough to deal with the horde of Gargoyles, whose number seemed to increase as the cracked sky continued to widen.

The Fairies also understood that they were at a great disadvantage when it came to numbers.

But, none of them were afraid to die since they would respawn in the Celestial Domain in a few days.

Sebastian and Dainsleif hovered close to Chloe, ready to protect her just in case the Horde of Monsters flew in her direction.

That was the duty that Ethan had asked of them, so they would not allow the young lady to suffer any injuries if they could help it.

The downpour of the rain became stronger, and powerful gusts of wind blew forth.

Illumina's hair fluttered in the sky, as her singing became louder and more powerful, spreading far and wide.

Ethan spread his arms wide before slowly moving them in front of him.

His eyes were closed as if he was concentrating on something.

After a few seconds, he opened his eyes, stared at the countless gargoyles and closed his fists.

"Shatter," Ethan said with determination.

Two gigantic hands made up of rain water materialized in the sky. These giant hands then closed themselves into a fish, crushing all the Gargoyles that were trapped inside of them without too much effort.

Ethan then made a slapping motion, and the rain obeyed his command.

The gigantic hands swatted countless Gargoyles in the air, shattering the weaker ones, and making the Black and Red Gargoyles crash towards the ground, setting off several deafening booms.

Beads of cold sweat formed on Ethan's forehead, which were washed away by the rain in an instant.

His Resonance Legacy with Lilian had provided him with some enlightenment for how to use his power to manipulate Rain, making his attacks extremely destructive.

However, Ethan drawing out this kind of power was very taxing, and it only took Ethan a few slaps against the Gargoyles to understand that using this kind of power alone was not advisable.

After his experiment, he used his will to merge the raindrops and transform them into Water Needles, encompassing a wide area that extended for a mile.

However, compared to his Legacy Resonance with Lilian, he realized that the Water Needles he created weren't as strong, sharp, and deadly, like they had been during the fight with the insectoids.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

'I guess transforming a wide swath of raindrops is a no go,' Ethan thought. Let's decrease the range of this ability.'

After decreasing the range from a mile, to a hundred meters, the quality of the Water Needle greatly improved within that range, making Ethan's eyes light up.

With a wave of his hand, these Water Needles pierced through the bodies of the Gargoyles, transforming them into pin cushions, which soon shattered after they reached their limit.

Ethan had created a slaughterhouse that was a hundred-meters wide, and anything inside of that was completely destroyed, including a Red Gargoyle, which had managed to last for nearly a minute before succumbing to Ethan's merciless bombardment.

Unfortunately, a hundred-meters was not wide enough to contain the entire battlefield.

If they were fighting in a small area then he was confident that he could obliterate anyone within his strike range.

But, that was not the case.

The Realm of Janvidr extended for miles, filled with forests, which were the home of countless monstrous wolves.

Wolves, who were currently fighting tooth and nail with the invaders, with some of them dying in the process.

Ethan took a deep breath, raising his arms and bidding the thunder and lightning to heed his call.

The heavens answered his summons, and unleashed a barrage of lightning on the Gargoyles, shattering them with each powerful strike that could have brought fear into the hearts of men and beast alike.

Unfortunately, despite all this, the enemies were simply too many to destroy.

Illumina, who had also finished her singing, was also casting beams of water that sliced up the Gargoyles as if she was shooting laser beams that could cut through stone as if they were made of tofu.

Ethan then glanced at the Giantess and Chloe, who were still fighting their own battles.

He then shifted his attention to the Forests, where wolves and gargoyles were fighting for

supremacy.

"There are simply too many,' Ethan thought. 'I need to know what to prioritize.'

Ethan narrowed his eyes, and after making a decision, he once again channeled the power of the elements and fought alongside the Giantess.

He mainly focused on the Black and Red Gargoyles, who were quite strong, and left the Gray Gargoyles, who seemed to be the main bulk of the Gargoyle army, to the Giantess and Chloe. Illumina, who was hovering by his side, understood what Ethan wanted to do and focused her attacks on the Black Gargoyles, leaving the red ones to her Master.

Ethan's entire body was still covered with flames, despite the fact that it was raining.

In fact, the raindrops slid off from the flames of Areadbhair as if they were oil, since oil and water were not meant to mix together.

They didn't evaporate, and didn't turn to steam.

They simply did what raindrops do and fell before merging together into Water Needles. Ethan then hurled these needles, using the power of his mind, towards the enemies around

him.

The Giantess, who also noticed what Ethan was doing, no longer targeted the Black and Red Gargoyles, and focused on dealing with the small fries, who were ganging up on her Wolf

Children.
