VRMMO: My first Contractee is Yandere

Chapter 92 Vampire's get a beating!

The leader of the guards speaks to her.

A vampire with spiky blond hair. He appears frail, but thanks to the [Vampire Gene], his physical strength is superior.

"I'll be blunt," says the leader.

"Since you've found us, we can't protect the hostages. We don't intend to die in vain. How about we negotiate?"

Liora briefly glances at me.

I nod in return. We'll stay alert for any surprise attacks. I'm curious to learn more about the enemy's methods. Since the butterfly hasn't signalled any danger, I assume it's safe.

The vampire, placing his fangs near a hostage's neck, speaks in a threatening tone. Blood trickles from the girl's neck as the vampire lightly grazes her with his fangs.

The girl, with vacant eyes, doesn't resist.

"We have ten hostages. We'll return seven. In exchange, will you withdraw? We'll retreat too. Otherwise, we'll kill all the hostages."

"Liora, this isn't much of a threat," I say.

"Got it."

The vampire mistakenly believes 's reply was directed at him. Just as he breathes a sigh of relief, Liora's scythe swings down.

The vampire leader's head, along with the girl's, flies through the air.

Two heads soar in the sky.

"What?! Huh?!"

The remaining vampire soldiers are left speechless.

But even in that brief moment, it's too late. 's [Beheader] technique is lethal to regenerating tanks. No matter how powerful a vampire's regenerative abilities are, if you cut off their head and blast them with [Light Magic] before they can regenerate, they'll die.

One of the two vampires quickly takes up a defensive stance.

But the other is killed before he can resist. The last one, realizing defeat, throws the hostage against the wall.

With incredible strength, the vampire turns the hostage into a bloody stain on the wall. Despite committing such brutality, the vampire glares at with righteous indignation.

His eyes burn with fury.

"Weren't you here to rescue the hostages?!"

"I'm only here to kill."

"You crazy brat!"

The vampire thrusts his sword at Liora.

"[Wing Thrust]!"

A wind-enhanced thrust.

My [Appraisal] is blocked, but it's probably a combined evolution skill of [Wind Magic] and [Swordsmanship]. The wind-imbued strike is sharp and fast.

Liora's shoulder is gouged, and the wind shreds her shoulder like a blender. Even with her shoulder destroyed in one hit, Liora swings her scythe without concern.

The vampire's head flies.

"Impossible!"

"The one who calls others stupid is stupid. That's what God said."

Liora fires a [Snipe Lightning] shot at the vampire's head. However, the vampire sprouts bat wings from his head and quickly dodges, regenerating his entire body in no time.

Just then, Samurai's binding magic ensnares him.

The vampire, startled, struggles to break free, but it's too late—'s [Bomb Lightning] spell is already in the air.

Before the vampire can scream—

Liora's bomb detonates.

Despite the explosion, the vampire is still capable of fighting. Liora squints, infuses her scythe with an art, and moves forward.

That art is the scythe technique [Forbidden Healing Blade].

When it hits its target, it inflicts the "Unhealable" status condition. Honestly, when I learned of this debuff, I was pretty scared.

Because it's Liora's trump card.

However, when we're the ones using it—it's a fantastic art.

"Die."

"Wha—?"

Liora decapitates the vampire at an unbelievable speed.

---

And then administers resurrection potions to the slaughtered hostages.

Man, these potions are truly convenient. They can be used for negotiations, hostage rescues—they're incredibly versatile.

And the ingredients are easy to come by.

However, the downside is that they leave the user in a "near-death" state. Also, the pain remains, so the rescued individuals appear to be suffering.

Well, their lives were saved, so it's fine.

Life takes priority.

"It's done. Ten hostages. Requesting retrieval."

"What should we do about the vampire who went out on reconnaissance, Captain Liora?"

"If I can catch up, I'll kill it."Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Understood, we're already tracking! Please follow!"

"Got it."

Liora nodded lightly toward the butterfly.

The composition of the Seventh Guerrilla Unit led by Liora is: "Liora 1", "Strategist 1", "General Helper 1", "Healer 1", "Summoner 1", and "Archer 1."

Well-balanced.

The Summoner in this "PHO" (game world) is considered a weak class.

However, if one specializes in non-combat roles, like information transmission or reconnaissance, they can become a useful asset. It seems that with a unique skill like Gaush's, combat is also possible.

Liora begins chasing the vampire soldier that joined the battle.

The war in the Third Field is progressing with back-and-forth gains.

Already, seven cities have fallen to the vampires.

The enemy's three knights, their main forces, are still intact, and the number of defeated vampires totals only a few thousand. However, it seems there are also many places where we've successfully repelled them.

The number of soldiers expected to reach the target city, the Dawn City of Yggdra, within a week is around 10,000. With the enemy numbering 30,000, that seems like a long shot.

They say we can win if we manage to attack during the daytime and force a large-scale battle, but...

While I was lost in thought, the cheerful voice of a young boy reached my ears.

"You're amazing, Captain Liora! This is my first time camping out in such luxury!"

"This isn't my power. It's all thanks to the gods..."

"Huh?"

Currently, the Seventh Vanguard Unit is clearing the way toward Dawn City Yggdra. We're killing off any vampires ambushing us and thinning out the enemy forces that attempt to launch counterattacks.

We're also destroying any potential hiding spots, like caves and burrows.

The northern front, led by Liora, seems to be advancing smoothly. According to the bulletin board, the western front is a disaster, and it's become a haven for vampires.

Meanwhile, the eastern side (where Mariela is located) has somehow eradicated all the vampires, and for some unknown reason, the human forces there are doing exceptionally well, with almost no casualties.

Things are going great.

On the southern front, Jack-Jack and his team are stationed.

Memé, who rescued a tribe of dwarves, and Hilda, who prioritized this area, are also present.

However, the situation on that front is hard to gauge. Many players are heavily involved, with Yoyo being a significant factor, making the battle almost like an official event.

If we lose not only the First Field but also the Third Field, it's game over.

There are many players whose contracted NPCs have been turned into vampires, causing them to defect to the enemy. To prevent more defections, we absolutely cannot afford to lose this battle. That's why Liora is working hard to give his subordinates clear instructions.

"I am with the gods. Everyone else, do your job."

"Yes, Captain Liora!" Zelak ran off to gather firewood.

In the base I created with Darkness Creation, Strategist Gano is already asleep. As an elderly man, the rigors of military life seem too much for him.

Mya, the archer, is cheering over the arrows Samurai is crafting.

When combined with Samurai's woodworking skills and the materials from the World Tree, these arrows are of excellent quality. We are never short on small items, thanks to Ideal Atelier.

Both arrowheads and feathers are being mass-produced through Ideal Atelier.

Three golems are likely busy working even now.

With excitement, Zelak shouted as he held a wooden cup. Inside was alcohol diluted with honey. There are no legal regulations on drinking in this world.

The fifteen- or sixteen-year-old boy's face was flushed.

"It was then! Our party had completely given up on surviving. The enemy was a beginner killer—Rex Beast. We were all severely injured. None of us could stand up. It was agonizing.

All our upperclassmen who were leading us were slaughtered!"

"Yes, yes," Sister Lidis, the healer, nodded dismissively.

"Yet you managed to move and escape afterward. A heart-warming story."

"That's oversimplifying it! We couldn't move at all! But somehow, we found ourselves standing and running away! Unconsciously! It was all thanks to Captain Liora's training. We survived because of her!"

"Honestly, Captain Liora is scarier than a Rex Beast, right? It'd be better to die than fight him."

Sister Lidis had once been captured by the Dropout Society.

She was one of the victims of Millim, the dark spirit. When we charged in, she was one of those we found collapsed. She seems to be grateful to us for that.

Yet, despite her gratitude, she also fears Liora's combat style.

"Speaking of scary..."

Sister Lidis sighed dreamily, covering her cheeks with her hands.

"The vision I saw that day was beautiful. A divine figure… Sister Lidis witnessed the god in a dreamlike trance that day. Ah, Goddess The World! Forgive your servant for acknowledging other gods…! Oh, my beautiful goddess, my only god, Sister Lidis' god! Please, appear before me once more!

Ahhh!"

It seems Sister Lidis has gone mad after her ordeal.

She claims to have seen a hallucination of a god during the torment, and since then, her faith has changed. She's now a complete heretic. She's a dangerous person, and I'd prefer she doesn't get too involved with Liora.

Although, given her circumstances, it's understandable.

Seeing this, Strategist Gano slumped his shoulders.

"My granddaughter is worshipping a strange god. Oh, great The World, please forgive her."
