Chapter 101: A Man’s Pride

After making love to Mimi, and claiming her virginity for himself, Alex escorted the girl back to work, where he did his job of protecting her for the rest of the day, he then drove her home, before returning to his own place for the remainder of the night. Things were going smoothly for Alex, and he knew he had only two more heroines to claim, and one whose relationship he needed to solidify before he could move onto the real story.

Because of this, he was in a pretty good mood the next morning, when he stopped by his usual coffee shop on his way to university. Alex was standing in line, minding his own business, when he saw someone who looked awfully familiar standing in the front of the line.

Though he could not say for sure for two reasons. She was not dressed in her usual uniform, and she was also facing forward. But after paying for her order, and turning around with a large box of donuts in her hand, the two of them made eye contact, where Alex immediately mocked the girl for having so many donuts.

“Police girl, is that you? I hardly recognized you without your uniform! Don’t tell me you are going to eat all those donuts yourself? I will have to advise you against it. We wouldn’t want that lovely figure of yours going to waste now, would we?”

Chun-Hei blushed red at Alex before chastising the man for his crass remarks.

“I’ll have you know after that unfortunate incident at the Concert I made detective, so it is Detective Shin from now on! You got that?”

Alex gawked in disbelief at the woman. There was no way she would be promoted to detective from something so simple, not unless she had someone pulling strings for her. It was at this moment he realized the girl’s father was the chief of police, and thus he shook his head and sighed heavily before mentioning it.

“Nepotism must be a wonderful thing, huh, police girl?”

This remark got the woman absolutely fuming, and she was about to say something when the door opened to reveal the detective who was her MC. The man quickly called out to his new partner, not realizing who she was currently conversing with.

“Chun-Hei, what’s taking you so long?”

Chun-Hei became embarrassed when the MC saw her speaking to Alex, and she was quick to speak to Alex in a lowered voice in an attempt to conceal her words from her new partner.

“Listen, I’ll forgive you this time… But I still have some questions about what happened that day, so how about we meet up for drinks later tonight, and you tell me your side of the story?”

Normally Alex was not one who would voluntarily speak to the police about anything, but since this woman was a heroine, and a natural beauty in her own right, he felt the drinks were indeed the perfect thing to smooth over their relationship. Thus, he smirked with a confident grin before speaking to the woman in an equally conceited tone.

“Sounds good to me. I’ll send you the details of where to meet up at, after I’m done here.”

Chun-Hei sighed in relief, but that did not last long, as her partner immediately stepped forward with a stern expression on his face.

“Chun-Hei I’m talking to you! Did you not freaking hear me?”

However, the moment the detective looked over and saw Alex’s face, his expression dropped and instead he immediately became violent. Evidently, he had done some digging into Alex’s background without letting Chun-Hei know after their last encounter. And had found out some things Alex didn’t want anyone else to know. Thus, the man grabbed hold of Alex’s collar in an attempt to intimidate him, while shouting at him with all the rage he could muster.

“You fucking prick! Do you think you can blackmail my partner and get away with it? How about I take you downtown right now, so you can answer for your fucking crimes!”

Chun-Hei became mortified when the detective mentioned her being blackmailed and was just about to try to defuse the situation, when Alex’s expression sank, out of respect for the detective’s position, Alex gave the man one warning in a blood-chilling tone.

“I’m going to give you this once chance…. Take it off before I break it off!”

This only caused the detective to double down as he glared at Alex with an equally intensive gaze.

“You little fucking punk, did you seriously just threaten an officer of the law?”

However, Alex wasn’t playing around and quickly wrist locked the police officer, putting him into an incredibly painful position, and forcing the man to let go of his grip. With a sadistic grin on his face, Alex spoke to the detective with a chilling tone in his voice.

“It’s not a fucking threat… It’s a promise!”

He was just about to break the man’s wrist when Chun-Hei’s voice intervened.

“Stop it, the both of you! Can’t you see you’re making a scene!?!”

The detective quickly looked around and saw that people were recording the incident. Upon seeing this, Alex scoffed before letting go of his wristlock. He then pointed to the officer’s face before giving him a stern warning.

“You got lucky prick, I don’t give a shit if you are a police officer! Assault me again and the next time it won’t just be your wrist that breaks, you understand me?”

After saying this, Alex walked off without even getting his coffee, but not before leaving behind his personal remarks.

“Police girl, I’ll see you at seven o’clock tonight. Don’t be late for our date!”

The detective groaned in pain as he massaged his wrist. He was just about to say something when Chun-Hei began to scold him.

“What the hell were you thinking? He’s a fucking civilian? And you’re an officer of the law! Did you seriously think it was remotely okay for your to assault him like that? Even if he did break your wrist, he would have been cleared of all charges because of your blatant act of police brutality!”

The detective, however, did not listen to the young woman’s scolding, and instead glared at her before interrogating Chun-Hei on what Alex had meant by what he said last.

“What did that thug mean when he told you not to be late for a date?”

This caused Chun-Hei to flush red in embarrassment, as she crossed her arms before speaking about what Alex meant.

“It’s nothing. I have a few questions I need to ask him, that’s all. So I told him we should meet up for drinks and discuss it. I don’t see how that is any of your business!”

This caused the detective to lash out in anger as he began to point out things about Alex that Chun-Hei already knew.

“Chun-Hei you can’t be serious? That man is not a simple civilian, he’s a damn criminal, and the only reason he isn’t behind bars right now is because the cases against him have all been dropped! I had to call in all kinds of favors just to find out what I know now, and even then I was told to drop it by the higher-ups! For fuck’s sake, isn’t he the one who handcuffed you to your own bike?”

The detective had crossed a line by mentioning this, and Chun-Hei instantly responded by slapping the man before rebuking him for his comments.

“Who the hell told you about that? Why are you prying into my private affairs? Don’t you ever mention that again or I will have my father deal with you! Now hurry up, we’re going to be late!”

After saying this, Chun-Hei stormed off, leaving the detective stunned beyond belief. Just what had happened between Alex and her that would cause such a reaction? The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to put Alex behind bars.

After meeting Chun-Hei in the morning, Alex went to his normal courses, where at lunchtime while sitting with Dal, he was approached by somebody he did not expect. It was none other than Chunho, the Judo guy who was Nari’s MC. When Alex saw this man standing in front of him with a stern gaze, he placed down his lunch and sighed heavily while shaking his head in annoyance.

“Why is it that you assholes always chose the same day to fuck with me?”

This, of course, did not sit well with Chunho, who immediately called Alex out for a duel.

“You and me! In the dojo! Now!”

Alex scoffed as he took another bite of his food, ignoring the man’s challenge as if he were not even worth his attention.

“In case you haven’t noticed, asshole, I’m eating lunch right now with one of my girls. Unless you have some reason for me to actually accept this challenge of yours, then you can politely fuck off!”

Chunho curled his fists when Alex rebuked him so viciously that he instantly blurted out his thoughts on the matter.

“If I win, you stay the fuck away from Nari! If you win… I won’t interfere between the two of you any longer….”

Dal looked over at Alex with a curious gaze before mocking him for not accepting the boy’s heartfelt offer.

“What? The infamous Berserker is not willing to throw down with one little old Judo black belt? Don’t ell me you’re actually scared Alex?”

And though Dal was snickering at Alex while saying words that were just meant as a jest, they managed to get under the man’s skin. And thus he placed down his food once more, and stood up, before accepting Chunho’s challenge on the spot.

“Fine… Let’s get this over with!”

Once Alex walked away, Dal called out to him with a concerned tone in her voice.

“Wait, Alex, I wasn’t being serious!”

But it was too late. The girl had insulted Alex’s pride as a man, and because of this, he was forced to toss Chunho around as if he were a rag-doll.

When Alex and Chunho finally emerged from the changing rooms dressed in their Gis, they were shocked to find Nari waiting for the both of them with a stern expression on her otherwise pretty face.

“What the hell do you two idiots think you are doing?”

Chunho was quick to come to his own defense as he boldly announced that he would get Alex to stay away from her from now on.

“Don’t worry Nari! I will defeat this bastard and make sure he stays away from you! There is no way I can lose. Last time was just a fluke, that’s all!”

Despite his chivalrous words, Nari looked at the man as if he were dog food. Her words, however, were far more harsh than her expression.

“And who told you to do that? Have you ever thought that if I wanted Alex to stay away from me, then maybe I would force him to do so myself?”

Even Nari was shocked that these words had actually escaped from her mouth, as she quickly covered it, before trying to defend herself.

“No wait! I mean-”

But before she could do so, Alex shamefully wrapped his arms around the girl, and inserted his hand through her gi and groped her relatively small breasts. With a lascivious on his handsome face, he taunted the girl in a way that both turned her on and made her hate him more.

“Oh? I didn’t think you were into me after our little date? Can it be that you have come to like me? Don’t tell me you are dreaming about me now?”

This shameless remark, as well as Alex’s touch, caused Nari to both hate and love the man, which could pretty much describe her relationship with him. However, there was something far more alluring about Alex since the last time they had met.

Not only was his touch arousing her, but she could not stop inhaling due to his intoxicating smell. It was the smell of a man in his prime, and she could not get enough of it no matter how much she tried. Not to mention that Alex’s voice had suddenly become so captivating, as if she had fallen under a new spell with every word he spoke.

How could the man change so much in so little time? As much as she hated the man, Nari also couldn’t even attempt to stop his obvious groping. And she had even gone so far as shamelessly grabbing hold of his hand with the intent of shoving it down her pants. So that he could play with her moist and tight little kitty.

However, Before Nari could do this, Chunho’s screaming temporarily broke her free from her trance. Where she flushed in embarassment regarding the incredibly lewd thoughts that she was having just moments before.

“You bastard! Stop that right now! That’s it, we are doing this! Man on man! Let’s go!”

Unfortunately for Nari, Alex chuckled and withdrew his hand from her body, where he immediately stepped foot on the mat while he stood opposed to Chunho with a sadistic smirk on his handsome face.

“Are you sure you want to do this, kid? Once I win, Nari is mine!”

This remark, of course, caused the man to lunge at Alex in an attempt to take him down, all while responding to Alex’s shameless remarks.

“Kid? I’m fucking older than you! Shut the fuck up and die already!”

However, things did not end up as Chunho expected, As Alex effortlessly rag dolled him to the floor with a perfect Ippon. And once Chunho had the wind knocked out of him, he lied flat on the mat for several moments, where he saw that Nari was shaking her head in pity before announcing Alex as the winner yet again.

“Alex wins by ippon, Chunho…. You have bought shame to this dojo!”

After saying this, Alex walked over to Nari and slapped her ass before wrapping his arm around her shoulders. This caused the girl to blush, but she did not even attempt to stop the man while he invited her to eat lunch with him and Dal.

“You know, Nari, I still haven’t finished lunch yet. How about we grab a bite to eat?”

Nari still looked at the man as if she wanted to eat his liver, but accepted his offer nonetheless.

“Only if you’re paying!”

Alex smirked and confirmed he would indeed be paying as he walked off with Nair, while leaving Chunho in his own despair.

“Of course, you should know by now that I take care of my women! You don’t have to worry about a thing when I’m around!”

These words, in particular, stung Chunho’s heart. But there was nothing he could do. After all, he had lost the duel and so shamefully at that. He had even been so foolish as to promise on his honor as a man that he would no longer interfere with Alex and Nari’s relationship. Thus, he could only cry and watch the better man walk away with the pretty girl.
