Chapter 3: World Artifact! Golden Legend

As Wu Chi prepared to fetch a clean dagger, the Mechanical Kidney suddenly vibrated. A surge of information flooded into his mind.

“Bind this item?”

“[Yes]/[No].”

There was a prompt!

Wu Chi’s eyes lit up. He hesitated for a moment and asked aloud, “Mechanical Kidney? Can you communicate? System? Master? Great Deity?”

Unfortunately, no matter how he called out, no other response came.

After some thought, Wu Chi stopped hesitating and selected [Yes].

The next moment, the Mechanical Kidney radiated five-colored divine light, and its attributes appeared on his panel.

World Artifacts were innate treasures, possibly born of the world, shaped by the forces of nature, or remnants of the universe. They were extraordinarily diverse, each with unique attributes.

A World Artifact could enhance the entire territory’s attributes, making it more valuable than any divine weapon or immortal treasure!

Seven years ago, there had been news about a Lord who discovered a World Artifact in the ruins of a shattered world during their descent into the Boundless Void.

That Lord had been ecstatic and publicly auctioned the artifact. The bidding attracted 173 celestial beings and gods!

Such sudden wealth was the stuff of legends.

“This is incredible! A World Artifact! There’s probably no one in Shenhe High School who owns one—not even the teachers or the principal!”

Wu Chi’s head spun with excitement.

The artifact sold seven years ago had only been green-quality (rare), yet it fetched an astronomical price. His, being golden (legendary), must be worth billions more!

Of course, Wu Chi wasn’t foolish enough to actually sell the Mechanical Kidney.

Not only had it already been bound to him, but even if it hadn’t, he wouldn’t part with such a treasure.

He merely used the comparison to estimate its value.

It took a while for Wu Chi to calm down. He began examining the item closely.

The [Lord] panel showed no changes, but on the [Territory] panel, there was a new icon!
