Chapter 152 Excited Emily
"Um.." Amelia let out.
She didn't know whether to stay or to go with Noah, she didn't want to stay because she didn't know his parents and she would feel shy being alone with them.
Noah smiled at her confused stance.
"Let's go?" He asked, in a light tone.
She quickly nodded.
"See you, Aunty, Uncle." She quickly waved, before following Noah to his car.
"See you, sweetheart," Caroline nodded, with a pleased smile on her face she couldn't hide.
Amelia entered the passenger seat of the G-Class, taking a moment to glance around the interior.
A small smile tugged at her lips as she looked over at him.
"You like cars, don't you?" she asked, her tone light and curious.
Noah glanced at her with a nod, a faint grin crossing his face. "I do like cars," he replied, "but that's not why I got this one."
"Oh?" she raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
"Yeah. I only have sports cars, like the Lykan and the Lamborghini as you've seen," he said with a chuckle. "But I needed an SUV… a family car, you know?"
Her cheeks flushed a delicate pink, and she looked down, suddenly a bit flustered. "A… family car?"
"Mm-hmm," he affirmed, watching the road ahead. "Something larger and more efficient."
She nodded slowly, the blush still lingering. "I… I see," she replied, clearing her throat as she rested her head back in her seat.
As they drove in silence for a few minutes, Noah glanced over, breaking the quiet. "Thanks for staying," he said softly.
She blinked, caught off guard.
"Hm?" she murmured, looking at him in mild confusion.
"Thanks for staying with us for so long today," he said, a gentle sincerity in his tone. "It was really kind of you."
Amelia shook her head quickly, a warm smile brightening her face. "No, no, it's okay! I actually really enjoyed myself," she replied, her voice soft but sincere.
He gave a slight nod, his eyes still focused ahead, though his expression softened. "Still… thanks."
The rest of the drive was in silence, and soon, they arrived at Emily's primary school.
Noah parked and got out, walking toward the school entrance with Amelia walking beside him.
Inside the classroom, they spotted Emily chatting with Sarah.
Upon noticing him, Emily waved excitedly, and Noah approached with a warm smile, patting Sarah's head in greeting. "Hey there, Sarah," he said cheerfully before turning to his sister.
"Hello, big brother," Sarah replied, a shy smile on her face.
"You ready to go?" Noah asked.
Emily nodded, giving Sarah a quick hug before leaving with Noah.
"Bye-bye, Sarah!" she said, waving.
"Bye!" Sarah waved back.
As they walked out of the school, Emily stayed close to Amelia, almost glued to her side, her little hand locked with Amelia's.
"Sister Amelia, I haven't seen you in so long!" Emily exclaimed, her eyes wide with concern.
She leaned in closer and whispered dramatically, "Did my brother upset you? Tell me! I'll sort him out," she declared, giving Noah a fierce, playful glare.
Amelia chuckled, her hand gently squeezing Emily's. "No, no, Noah's been perfectly fine," she assured, sneaking a quick sidelong glance at him, curious to see his reaction. Stay tuned with empire
But Noah didn't seem to notice, he kept walking ahead, his face as calm and unreadable as ever.
"Good," Emily huffed with a satisfied nod, swinging their joined hands slightly.
Her serious expression, was a warm smile as she looked back up at Amelia.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
...
In the car, Emily's expression was that of happiness and shock.
"This car is so cool!" She muttered as she looked at the luxurious interior that was filled with the latest technology.
"I know right?" Amelia let out a chuckle.
Noah just smiled, as he drove them back to the teahouse.
"Brother, where are we going? I thought we were going home." She said as they passed their home.
"That's a secret," He chuckled, already expecting her next reaction.
"Meanie! Why are you keeping secrets from your cute, little sister!" She said pouting cutely.
Amelia chuckled and said.
"Yeah Noah, that's mean."
"Sigh, I'm the villain now?" He asked, feigning being upset.
...
Arriving at the teahouse, Emily excitedly said.
"We are at the teahouse! Did you guys open it already?"
"Yup," Noah replied.
"WOW! I need to see it, hurry up brother. Park the car already," She said in a hurry.
"Alright, alright," He smiled, parking the car.
As soon as the car parked in front of the teahouse, Emily opened the door and quickly got out of the car.
Closing the door behind her, she ran to the teahouse.
"Huh?" She muttered as she tried to open the door but it wouldn't open.
She put her face on the glass door, squinting trying to see inside but it didn't work.
Realising that she couldn't open it, she quickly turned around to see that Noah was walking towards her with a smile.
"Brother! Hurry up, why are you walking so slowly."
"You are doing this on purpose, aren't you," She glared at him playfully.
He chuckled and shook his head.
"Mom and Dad are inside, you could've just knocked on the door."
"Oh." She let out a low whisper.
Opening the door of the teahouse, Emily was the first to enter.
Caroline and David were seated inside, and seeing that they were back they got up.
"Mom, Dad!" Emily let out, as she hugged them.
"My little angel, was that you at the door?" Caroline asked as she remembered the door shaking a few times.
Emily nodded her head.
"Yes Mom, but the blame is on Noah. He didn't tell me you guys were inside, nor did he tell me the door was locked," She pouted, as she looked at Noah.
"Alright, I'm at fault," Noah raised his arms in surrender.
"Yeah, you better be," Emily snorted cutely at Noah.
For the next fifteen minutes, Emily explored the whole shop making comments on many things.
"Noah, did you make the design?" she asked, after checking the whole reception area.
"Sort of, do you like it?" He asked back, with a smile on his face.
"Yeah, I do. It's very pretty," she nodded her head.
...
"Dad, how much is our revenue for today?" He asked, with a smile on his face.
