Chapter 145 Teahouse Opening (2)
As they walked, he soon noticed a fully black, G-Class model which looked menacing.
"Alright, here we have the Mercedes G-Class," she began, gesturing towards it.
"This one is our 2025 edition, fully loaded with every comfort and off-road feature you could think of."
"Under the hood, this one has a 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo engine, giving you about 577 horsepower."
"It's built for all kinds of terrains, perfect for rough terrains or city driving."
"The interior is quite spacious, with premium leather seats, and the tech package includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, voice activation, and customizable ambient lighting."
"The comfort of the passenger is heavily emphasised in this model, with the premium leather used on the seats and the latest technology used in the car."
"This model comes with everything from adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist to blind-spot detection and a 360-degree camera. It's considered one of the safest cars we offer."
"For the base model, you're looking at around $140,000," she replied, then added, "But with the fully loaded version like this, plus any custom modifications, it can go up to around $200,000."
Noah nodded, his expression resolute. "I'll go with the G-Class. Do you have any available today?"
The saleswoman's smile froze momentarily as she processed his request. "Yes, sir, we do have one available in the store right now. However…" she hesitated, her voice slightly lower.
"What's the issue?" Noah asked, raising an eyebrow.
"The SUV is equipped with the maximum customization package, meaning it's at the highest price point…" she trailed off, expecting him to reconsider.
Noah's lips curved in a slight smile. "Is that the problem?"
She nodded, her expression a bit uncertain. "Yes, sir."
"What colour is it?" he inquired, his expression unfazed.
"It's black, sir."
"A classic colour, very popular with this model."
"Perfect," he replied. "Make me a contract. I want the car."
The saleswoman blinked, caught off guard. "I se–wait, what?"
She stammered slightly, having expected a different reaction.
Most customers would hesitate at the price of a fully customized G-Class, even if they had the money.
Noah maintained his calm smile. "I said I want the car. Please prepare it for me."
Realizing he was serious, she straightened up, a bit flustered but clearly excited.
"A-alright, sir. Please follow me to the office to finalize the paperwork."
They walked towards the glass-walled office.
The woman quickly gathered all necessary documents, printed out the contract and arranged everything neatly before sliding it across the desk for Noah to sign.
"This includes all standard warranties, maintenance, and roadside assistance," she said, her voice now steady and professional.
"Your purchase includes our premium service package as well, so you'll have access to all maintenance appointments and car washes whenever you'd like."
Noah signed the papers and handed them back to her.

"Here's the payment device, sir," she said, handing over the card reader. "The final price is $204,499."
Noah didn't even blink as he pulled out his card, swiping it across the reader.
"Ding! Payment Successful." The machine confirmed.
"Thank you, sir." She practically beamed, unable to hide her excitement. It was a significant sale for her, and her commission was more than she'd made in two months combined.
Noticing her excitement, Noah simply nodded, pleased by the efficient process.
"Sir, the car will be ready for you in about 20 minutes," she said, her tone respectful yet enthusiastic. "Please bear with us while we prepare it. In the meantime, would you like a drink? Coffee? Tea?"
"Just water, thank you."
"Right away, sir," she replied, almost dashing off before returning a moment later with a chilled glass of water, which she set on the table before him.
Twenty minutes later, the saleswoman reappeared, her face bright.
"Your G-Class is ready, sir."
"Alright." Noah stood up, ready to see his new car.
"Let me show you to it," she said, leading him outside where the G-Class stood in all its glossy, black colour.
The vehicle's, imposing build radiated luxury and power making all the other cars around hide in its shadow.
"Let's get in the car, and set up a few things," She said, as she opened the door and entered.
"You can put on Spotify, navigation and various other apps in the touchscreen through the carplay."
She connected Noah's phone to the car's Merc app, explaining the various features.
"Alright, here's the app where you can access everything you need. You can remotely lock or unlock the car, check the fuel level, schedule maintenance, and even track the car's location in real-time." She tapped a few more buttons.
"And if you ever get stuck, the handbook is also available here." She pulled up the digital manual, showing him how to navigate it.
Noah nodded, "Convenient," he replied.
After the setup was complete, he turned to her, a small smile of appreciation on his face. "Thanks for your help with everything."
The saleswoman hesitated for a brief moment, glancing at him before she spoke. "Sir…" She swallowed slightly, then went on, "Would you mind if I, um… Could I have your number?"
Noah raised an eyebrow.
"My number?"
She quickly waved her hands, her face turning slightly pink. "Oh! Not for… Not for anything personal, of course," she said, her voice laced with nervous laughter. "Just, you know… in case you need any help with the car or if there's something you need clarified."
Realizing her intention, Noah nodded slowly, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Ah, I see. That's fine, if I need any help, I'll come straight here. Thanks, though."
Her smile flickered slightly, the disappointment was momentarily visible before she composed herself.
"I see… Well, alright then. Have a safe drive, Mr. Thompson."
"Thanks," Noah replied, giving her a brief nod before slipping into the driver's seat.
As he pulled away, he caught a glimpse of her through the rearview mirror, standing by the curb, her expression wistful as she watched him drive off.
