This Girl Wins Three Hundred Million Dollars

Chapter 79

Chapter 79

Shen Youlin sat on a plane for twelve hours before landing at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. As soon as he boarded the train bound for Bordeaux, he received a call from Yu Yan:

"Yu Shu made a flight payment six hours ago. We're not sure where she went yet."

"Ahhhhh!" Shen Youlin yelled at the top of his lungs. "Brother—!"

Yu Yan held his phone away to give his abused ears a break: "Go check into a hotel first. I'll contact you if I hear anything."

"Brother! ! Yu Yan!"

Yu Yan promptly hung up, cutting off Shen Youlin's wails.

By the time Shen Youlin received the news and rushed to the Toronto hotel where Yu Shu was staying, Yu Shu had already left Canada. Shen Youlin didn't even get a whiff of the exhaust from her departure.

Toronto was too cold. With neither good food nor scenery, Yu Shu couldn't stand it after two days. On a spur-of-the-moment decision, she left for the vacation hotspot of Saipan.

There were no direct flights from Toronto to Saipan. Yu Shu flew from Toronto to Chicago, stayed in Chicago for a day, then flew to Tokyo, stopped over in Tokyo, flew to Guam, and finally arrived at Saipan after much trouble.

She didn't know what possessed her to put up with so many transfers. It was as if she had a premonition that compelled her to visit. Despite the lengthy journey, Saipan's beautiful scenery didn't disappoint.

She rented a yacht and sailed to a relatively quiet nearby sea area to go sea fishing. Though called fishing, she merely set a few fishing rods on the deck while she napped and sunbathed on a deckchair, checking the rods occasionally. She didn't catch anything for half a day.

As sunset approached, the peaceful waters were disturbed by an excited shout as a jet ski sped into view.

Awakened by the noise, Yu Shu lifted her eye mask and leaned on the railing, expressionlessly yelling at the jet skier, "Hey! You're scaring my fish away!"

The man glanced at her. His jet ski came to an abrupt halt and he was flung off from inertia, crashing into the water with an impressive splash like a leaping dolphin at a Philippines diving competition.

"Hey! Are you alright?" Yu Shu anxiously called out, thinking he was likely foreigner, so she repeated herself in English a few times.

Hearing the commotion, the yacht's crew came out from the cabin. After Yu Shu explained what happened, they were about to dive in for the rescue when the man's head popped up from the water.

Ji Yunzi's ears were bright red. He yelled "I'm fine!" before sinking under again, leaving only his eyes above water as he blew bubbles playfully.

Yu Shu heaved a sigh of relief and the crew returned below deck.

Seeing everyone gone, Ji Yunzi timidly surfaced a bit more, revealing his plump, water-beaded pecs glistening like diamonds under the setting sun.

He asked Yu Shu, "Are you a sea goddess?"

"What?" Yu Shu didn't understand.

"You must be the beautiful sea goddess of mythology. Your voice led me astray!"

His words were direct and sincere. Yu Shu couldn't help bursting into laughter.

No woman could refuse praise for her looks, let alone from a deep-eyed, handsome mixed-race cutie.

Ji Yunzi gazed up at her grinning. His ears, cheeks and neck burned red hot.

He splashed some sea water on his face and mumbled shyly, "Or maybe the sun goddess easily cooked this little shrimp."

Ji Yunzi abruptly dove under and swam toward the yacht.

Yu Shu leaned on the railing, appreciating his nimble swimming form. He looked very tall, probably around six foot two.

The yacht's fishing rod jerked. Ji Yunzi's head emerged, right hand tangled in fishing line. He held it high to show her, "Sea goddess sister, you've caught a mermaid. Please enjoy your catch right away!"

Yu Shu smiled. "You're too big. One pot can't cook you all, so I'll let you go."

Ji Yunzi thrashed his legs like a fish around the yacht. "Oh no...a cramp in my tail...It hurts...ow...."

His acting was too lame. Yu Shu's lips quirked into a crescent smile, eyes brimming with mirth and charm, naturally alluring.

Ji Yunzi gave the line a little tug. "Oh merciful and beautiful goddess, will you kindly save a drowning little fish with your compassion?"

Still smiling, Yu Shu lowered the boarding ladder. "Come aboard. Moor your jet ski at the stern."

Ji Yunzi climbed up the ladder. Yu Shu eyed his neat eight pack and gave an appreciative whistle, openly admiring his form.

Embarrassed, Ji Yunzi stuck out his tongue, not knowing where to put his hands.

Wearing only tight swimming trunks, his ripped abs and long legs were in full view, his fantastic physique steaming up her nostrils.

Yu Shu discreetly rubbed her nose to check she wasn't actually drooling before handing him a clean towel. "Cover up. Don't catch cold." She spoke in a playboy tone.

Ji Yunzi's face grew hotter. He wrapped the towel around himself, angling it carefully to keep his abs exposed.

Yu Shu called for another deck chair and shared her afternoon tea with him as they watched the sunset and chatted.

Ji Yunzi volunteered personal information. "I'm Ji Yunzi, nineteen years old. I'm a third-year student at the Shanghai University of Sport, here on vacation."

He paused before adding meaningfully, "I came alone."

"I'm Yu Shu, also on vacation. You're a student? With that body I assumed you were a model."

Ji Yunzi straightened his back proudly to better show off his abs. "I just work out a bit..."

"Are you mixed race?"

"Yeah. My mom's Shanghainese and my dad's Portuguese, but I have Chinese nationality!" He puffed out his chest towards the sun. "The red scarf shines brighter!"

Yu Shu quietly sipped her tea, smiling but not replying.

The little rascal's every word and deed was fishing for her affection.

As the saying goes:

Ripped eight pack, six foot two mixed Chinese-Portuguese young wolf, ladies drink it in!

And a handsome stud still rides urgently her way.

Oh dear, I have to laugh...
