This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome

Chapter 139: The Song Clan Has a Death Wish

Lu Xuan’s ability to raze sects or clans single-handedly was a testament to his terrifying combat prowess.

The so-called “Clan-razing Force” that he possessed was not how one would have named the levels conventionally; it was a title bestowed only on someone with powers befitting the use of such a title.

While powers between individuals naturally differed greatly at every level, at the current stage, the only level of beings that were undoubtedly capable of such clan-razing feats were those at the Deity level.

Only beings at the Deity level would be able to single-handedly knock out a clan or sect.

Many had claimed that Lu Xuan possessed such a level of power, but what had happened right before the eyes of the crowd truly cemented the fact that Lu Xuan was indeed capable of such godly feats.

Such a level of power meant that many cultivators saw him as little different from a walking nuclear bomb.

He truly had become the nuclear bomb among cultivators.

Cultivators hardly feared weapons like nuclear bombs, as everyone knew that such weapons would never be deployed without very, very good reason. Yet cultivators comparable to nuclear bombs did not have such restrictions on their actions. The biggest difference between such cultivators and nuclear bombs was that the cultivators were able to do as they pleased.

A nuke that could be deployed without a care at a moment’s notice proved to be something that struck intense fear in the hearts of many.

“Mr. Lu really is something!”

Some young cultivators within the Seven Invincible Sect felt incredibly envious after seeing what had happened before them.

“I guess no one will ever doubt Mr. Lu’s status as the number one in all of Min Province. Not after this particular battle.”

All the other fighters looked on with a glum, severe expression. Their presence represented the cultivators throughout the country, after all. While not every notable force found throughout the country was present at the event, the influence of those who were present would nonetheless allow them to spread tales of the battle all over the country.

That one single battle was more than capable of shocking the community of cultivators throughout the country. Deity-level fighters, who were seen by many as beings up in the heavens, were no longer wary of each other, and they were no longer reluctant to go for each other’s throats.

That battle had ended with the death of one Deity-level fighter right there and then, after all.

The process of that battle had made the fighters realize that if they had not seen what happened with their own eyes, there would have been no way for them to tell just how fearsome such Deity-level beings were.

One could touch godhood by training in martial arts. That familiar saying was no longer just a saying. It became a cold, hard fact, proven by real examples.

The saying rang especially true to the National Guardians who were present at the scene, as they were not all that far off from reaching such a level themselves.

The might and prowess demonstrated by the two who fought that day would one day become theirs.

The powers that those two Deities possessed would be theirs in the future, too.

Lu Xuan took a look at the crowd and went down the mountain, looking indifferent all the while. The Special Task Force would come up there and clean the place up soon enough. What happened among cultivators stayed among cultivators, as their existence was not yet public knowledge.

Yun Sheng and the Square-faced Fatso were relaying the urgent news from halfway up the mountain.

They never expected to see such levels of firepower being used. That was totally beyond what the government would tolerate. From what they were able to tell, the Holy Dragon Corporation had gone crazy, and so had the Song Clan.

At the very least, it was clear to all that the Song Clan had been so wary and frightened of Lu Xuan’s powers that they were willing to face the wrath of government authorities just so that they could use that level of firepower—something considered absolutely off-limits—to get rid of Lu Xuan.

“The Song Clan has really, truly gone nuts this time,” Yun Sheng mumbled to himself.

He just watched a battle of an incredible level on satellite broadcast earlier, and he knew that battle was utterly beyond his capacity to interfere in, even though he already became a Martial Arts Legend.

The gap between him and those two Deities was still far too vast.

“Mr. Lu is really beyond human now,” the fatso said with a shocked expression. It had only been a few months since he had met Lu Xuan for the first time, yet Lu Xuan’s power had already reached a level that was totally beyond his comprehension.

That strength was far beyond what he was even able to fathom.

Yun Sheng felt himself a very lucky man for having chosen to rally Lu Xuan to the side of the Special Task Force as soon as the opportunity to do so presented itself. Otherwise, they would have just earned themselves a terrifying target to put on their watchlist.

“What are you guys sitting here for? Get our men to cordon off the area and clean the place up. We can’t let any of this get out.” Yun Sheng made his decision after pausing in awe for just a moment.

Lu Xuan returned home in the evening. However, things were different than he expected, as his place turned out to be a huge mess.

Someone had evidently attacked the manor as well.

“The Song Clan really does have a death wish, then.”

Lu Xuan gritted his teeth. His eyes burst with a terrifying glow.

He knew with complete certainty that someone from the Song Clan had attacked the manor when he was out fighting against Song Lingfeng.

Two National Guardian level fighters had brought a group of fighters to assault his place.

A great battle had taken place in his manor.

It was a battle that no one had expected to break out. The clan’s two fighters never expected that Lu Xuan had set up barriers at the manor, and the barriers prevented them from being able to infiltrate the place for quite a while.

What exceeded their expectations even more was the fact that the place was guarded by a National Guardian, one who was just as powerful as they were.

The two sides clashed, and a great battle broke out. The battle raged on until the Special Task Force caught wind of it, deploying someone to the scene and eventually scaring off the attackers from the Song Clan.

The Song Clan never expected Lu Xuan to have set up such defensive measures back home, and they certainly had not expected that there would actually be a National Guardian tasked with his family’s protection.

They were unable to achieve their goal in that battle.

Zhang Hongyang ended up grievously injured, too. Despite the fact that he was a National Guardian as well, he was nonetheless caught in a pincer attack between two fighters at his level. The disadvantage was severe enough that he ended up getting seriously hurt in the fight.

If it hadn’t been for the representatives from the Special Task Force showing up just in time, Zhang Hongyang would have probably died in that battle.

The two disciples of Zhang Hongyang suffered injuries all over as well.

Lu Xuan’s family was even caught up in the battle. Lu Shanshan’s arm was injured, and she was being treated in the hospital.

It was a good thing that his family members had all became sufficiently trained by this point, so much so that they were able to fight back despite being ambushed by the elite fighters of the Song Clan.

Although they were able to repel the invaders from the Song Clan eventually, Lu Xuan was still left severely shaken.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Lu. Our security measures have been lacking.” Ming Yueyao, the provincial chief of the Min Province Special Task Force, apologized as soon as she got to the manor.

She had acquired firsthand information about that fight on the mountain while she was on her way. She even managed to acquire video footage.

The frightening combat prowess demonstrated by Lu Xuan was so unimaginable that it was something rarely seen even among Deity-level cultivators.

Although she was a National Guardian level cultivator, Ming Yueyao had to admit that she was beneath them.

In truth, if it weren’t for the behemoth that was the Special Task Force backing her up, she would not even have the right to stand before Lu Xuan.

Level difference among cultivators was a clear-cut thing. The power difference between beings just a single level apart was like the difference between heaven and earth, and that extended to their social status as well.

“It’s fine. Can’t say that you guys are the ones at fault in the first place,” Lu Xuan answered plainly. At the end of the day, he had more faith in the intimidation factor posed by the Special Task Force than the agency’s actual capabilities.

The Special Task Force had only one National Guardian level officer stationed in the entirety of Min Province, so it was absurd to have both Ming Yueyao and Zhang Hongyang stay at the manor to serve him at all times.

“One way or another, this is indeed our fault.” She shook her head and continued, “I didn’t expect your subordinate to be a National Guardian, by the way.”
