The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 361: The Future <1>

Kate looked at Kyle and nodded.

Knowing Dylan’s family background and their strength back then, it was no wonder that they could still rebuild their family’s business so quickly. Anyway, money had started to be more useful once more though the currency between nations has been fluctuating wildly.

It couldn’t be helped because many nations hadn’t finished dealing with the giant mutated animals.

If they couldn’t deal with the problems of these giant mutated animals, they clearly couldn’t focus on developing their economic. Thus, their money experienced huge inflation and their economy was on the verge of collapsing.

It would take some time for them to recover.

Thankfully, their nation was relatively stable. Even with some attacks coming from these giant mutated animals, they still could rebuild their nation slowly but surely.

That way, everything was going for the better future.

"It’s here."

Kate looked at the restaurant in front of her and silently wondered where did Dylan’s family had the time to refurbish their stocks? The furniture here all looked very good.

Glancing at the wall, Kate arched her eyebrows. "The space protected wall?"

"Their family likes to use it because this metal can’t be deformed by ordinary awakened. Unless that awakened was at rank 7 or more, they can’t even leave any trace on this material." Kyle chuckled, feeling somewhat proud.

Kate rolled her eyes, but the corner of her lips curled up to form a smile. This wall was made by her and Kyle, which was why she felt happy when she knew that a lot of people liked it.

"I’ll order the food."

"Ok." Kate let Kyle ordered. He knew her favorite foods so she had been leaving him to take care of the order whenever they eat outside. Looking at the empty area, Kate silently wondered whether there will be more customers later or not. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"This is the second floor, which is the VIP area. Not everyone can come up and the others are usually below." Kyle smiled faintly.

"Ooh~."

Kate nodded with a smile.

Looking at his little girlfriend, Kyle silently wondered what it would be if his cat hadn’t taken a liking on this young girl back then. Their paths might not cross each other and things wouldn’t have ended up this way.

He felt that the little cat that his father gave to him was truly his lucky charm.

The two of them eat heartily and afterwards, Kyle walked Kate back to the research institute. Most of the time, she would be staying in the seventh floor of their secret base and spent her time there.

Anyway, she had countless items inside her space.

Rather than letting them rot there forever, it would be better for her to use them to fill their spaces below.

As they entered the research institute, Kate’s Father saw the two of them and waved at his daughter. "Kate, come here. Your mother baked some cookies and she wants you to help her eat it."

"I’m coming!" Kate turned to look at Kyle. "I’ll be back soon."

"Ok." Kyle smiled warmly.

In this research institute, Kate’s parents basically stayed at the third floor and Jake made an additional laboratory for them to stay. This way, their security would be better protected. It was only occasionally would they come to the first floor with the guards guarding them in secret.

Kyle turned around and saw Dylan walked out with Lica from the canteen. He nodded.

Dylan took out a report and handed it to Kyle. "You’re targeted."

"Oh, who’s so stupid so as to come here and target me?" Kyle arched his eyebrows and took the report. Upon seeing the photo inside the document, Kyle’s eyes turned a shade colder.

Patting Kyle’s shoulder, Dylan walked away. He still had to finish a few more programming in order to secure their city. It has been his job and also his hobby.

Kyle looked at the report and then walked to kitchen where she could see Kate was talking happily with her family members. He patted her on the head. "I have something, so I’ll go back later. You can spend the afternoon with your parents."

"Okay, take care." Kate nodded and raised a cookie towards him, which Kyle helplessly took a bite.

"Be good."

After greeting Kate’s parents, Kyle walked out of the research institute and walked toward the military compound. The soldiers there were already used to Kyle coming and going. Anyway, he was considered as part of the military albeit still a bit unofficial.

Knock! Knock!

"Oh, you’re here, Kyle." General Ryou looked at his nephew and pointed inside. "This person tried to sneak in, but Dylan’s new defense system immediately recognized him as someone from your blacklist, so we caught him."

"He’s a rank 7 earth awakened, did you get hurt?"

"Don’t worry, many of our guards are also rank 7. He’s not a match against them at all."

"Good."

Kyle nodded and walked into the room.

As the door opened, the man inside, Petra, raised his head. He looked at Kyle coldly while his arms were restrained and there were two guards standing at the back.

"You kill her."

Kyle waved his hand and the two guards walked out.

General Ryou knew that Kyle wanted this to be a secret conversation, so he motioned the others to get out. He knew that Kyle had a lot of things that he would never want to share to other people, which was why he would help his nephew a bit.

"Who are you talking about?" Kyle asked in a calm tone.

"Lotus of course! Do you think I don’t know that you killed her back in that damned island?!" Petra yelled.

Kyle chuckled. "Why should I spare her when she tried to kill me?"

"You…" Petra looked at Kyle coldly. "If you hate me, you should have killed me and not her."

"Of course, I’ll kill you but let me tell you one thing, I kill her not because of you but because of herself." Kyle looked at Petra coldly. "How much of her nonsense did you actually believe?"
