The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 356: Return Home <4>

Kyle had no interest in making his little woman worried.

He tried his best to control the rampaging energy so that it would not wreak more havoc inside his body.

The process was painful.

But for Kyle, this was nothing. He had already experienced many things much more painful than this.

The others came when they saw that these two locked themselves in the cabin. Kate explained that Kyle had fever, so they all take turns to fight these giant mutated animals without bothering these two.

After a few hours, Kyle’s fever subsided.

He opened his eyes and looked at the young woman who was still sitting beside him. She seemed to sense that he was awake and looked over. "Thirsty?"

"Mhm."

Kate took out a glass of water and helped Kyle to drink the water slowly.

After that, Kyle sat up and raised his hand to rub Kate’s head. "You don’t have to worry about me so much. This small fever can’t kill me."

"Even if it can’t kill you, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be careful." Kate glared at Kyle. "Your fever had just gone down. Eat some porridge and then rest again."

"Did you make it?"

"Yeah, I use the small stove in the room next door. Don’t worry, I might not be able to cook anything else, but porridge and soup are fine." Kate was a bit embarrassed when she thought of the kitchen’s condition when she tried to cook other things in the past.

It was really bad….

In fact, she felt that the fact that the cooking utensil could survive was already a miracle in itself.

Her control over the fire and many other things…

*cough*

This boat that Lotte made was slowly being expanded as they got away from the island in order to accommodate more rooms. Thankfully, her wood elements were strong or she would never be able to fulfill the requests.

However, she started to think that she and her husband were both builders.

Her husband built house.

While she built boat.

*sigh*

While Lotte really wanted to complain, she knew that any protest would be invalid. Unless they want to float on the water while fighting these giant mutated animals that kept on approaching them, they better stay quiet.

"Don’t worry, we’ll reach the shore soon." Jake saw that Lotte’s expression was not right and patted her back. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Lotte glared at Jake. "Don’t blame me if the boat turns over later."

"It won’t. As long as you keep on expanding and making sure the shape is right, it should be fine." Jake had an awkward smile.

He seemed to have noticed why Lotte was annoyed. They had never built a boat before and this time, they had to use Lotte’s ability to make the wooden boat to allow them to float. Thankfully, Lotte’s ability was enough to make sure that she made the wood that could easily float.

Aside from the slightly odd and unnatural shape in some places, the boat itself was quite good. At the very least, they didn’t need to worry about falling down.

*Wang! Wang!* <Are we going to fall down?> Robby looked at the two of them and tilted his head. He felt the water was so close to him.

"I’ll try my best." Lotte blushed.

She felt embarrassed when she was being questioned by a dog about her ability to build the boat. While she knew that she was not capable, it was not to the point where she would possibly drown all of them, right?

"Wang! Wang!" <Master, do you trust her?> Robby looked at Marc.

Marc listened at the side and patted Robby. "If you don’t want to swim all the way back, you better shut your mouth, Robby."

"Wang!" <Bad Master! Robby is just telling the truth!>

At this time, Marc could sense that a certain person had already started to emit thick killing intent. Knowing that reasoning with an angry woman would be completely pointless, he could only pat Robby’s head.

In the end, what was left was the sound of Robby barking and Lotte shouting along with Marc and Jake’s helpless voice.

Kate listened from inside in confusion. What kind of madness are the others doing when they were outside?

But she tried her best to ignore them because they had done it for so many times in the past that she could no longer count it anymore. It would be better for her to make sure that Kyle rested properly so that he could recover quickly.

Kyle chuckled and ate the porridge slowly.

It tasted really good.

The two of them were silence during the eating time and after it was done, Kyle patted the bed. "Sleep?"

"I have my own room." Kate glared at Kyle.

Kyle let out a faint laugh. "We’re going to reach the beach soon, so just lay here for a while."

Kate looked at Kyle and then at the space he provided. At this moment, Kyle was holding her hand, as if preventing her from going anywhere.

"But…"

Kyle looked at Kate’s expression and slowly added, "Don’t worry, I won’t do anything. Just lay down with me."

Kate blushed.

Was it obvious what she was thinking?

After a while, Kate gave up and laid down beside Kyle. She looked at his countenance and feel that her face was heating up. Even from such a close distance, she had to say that his face is really good.

Kyle smiled faintly and hugged Kate closer, feeling her warmth near him.

He had to admit that there was strange warm feeling inside his heart when he saw her waiting for him. At the same time, he also felt distressed because he knew that it wouldn’t be easy for her to accompany him.

The two of them were silent.

They simply stayed still, enjoying the presence of the other person near them.

"After this.. let’s go home?" Kate finally asked, her voice was low.

Home…

Kyle looked at Kate deeply and then answered in equally low voice, "Yes, let’s go home."
