Chapter 98: Running Out Of Time...
.....
"..."
Loki didn't quite get the reaction he wanted out of Azmond. However, he wouldn't renege on his promise of progressing this conversation at a faster pace now.
Time was running out after all...
"Boundless Restorations Divine aura is filling up the entire atmosphere around you. And it doesn't just end there, as it spreads outwards for many miles with you at the center." He pointed into the distance before transmitting some of his vision to Azmond.
Azmond was a little taken aback by the sudden emulation of sight. However, those thoughts of apprehension quickly dispersed as the sight he saw before him left him breathless.
A bright plethora of sparkling and dazzling lights shone in every direction. They extended out far enough that he could see no end to the splendiferous lights. However, it wasn't the bright lights that left him stunned.
His eyes darted over to the brightest blot of light in the sky surrounding him. He was looking at everything from a bird's-eye view.
What really left him in awe was the huge, convoluted congregation of a deep crimson glow that shone like the brightest red star in the sky.
He couldn't determine how far out the red glow spread. But he knew that it contained a bigger energy signature than anything he had ever witnessed firsthand...
All of these factors combined gave Azmond an aura that would serve as a beacon to all the Apex beings out there.
He now understood what Loki meant by his aura being his potential downfall...
His Quantum Qi Condensation aura was like a little firefly next to the sun; that was the aura exuding from Boundless Restoration.
"I assume you realize why I said what I said, don't you?" Loki asked with a clearly rhetorical tone.
He already knew the answer to his question before it was even asked.
Azmond knew that too, but he didn't want to give him the satisfaction. So, he just responded with a neutral expression.
His eyes turned emotionless, as he resembled that of an empty shell.
...
Such an act seemed to work as Loki quickly got bored of Azmond and articulated more on the topic revolving around the aura Azmond was exuding.
"I, like the magnanimous saint I am, have decided that I would do you a favor and conceal that aura of yours for you. All out of the kindness of my heart." His voice sounded out with a 'kind' smile.
Azmond was not believing any of Loki's bullcrap, but he knew that he needed to do something about the star that radiated out around him.
So, he 'reluctantly' decided that he wouldn't deny free service if Loki was offering
Loki got the hint Azmond was trying to convey right away. He didn't particularly need the go ahead to do as he pleased with a mere mortal. But he figured he would leave some face for the human that was able to gain the recognition of Boundless Restoration.
Such a feat deserved at least this amount of respect.
"Alright then, let's begin."
A bright green and golden light flashed as Loki waved his hand.
The aura surrounding Azmond instantaneously disappeared. All the brilliantly shimmering plethora of lights were gone just like that. The giant, crimson sun that surrounded Azmond faded into another layer of existence. A deep veneer covered it up from sight with just a simple wave of Loki's hand.
It was almost as if none of the blazing energy signatures ever existed to begin with
Azmond expected Loki to make quick work of this little conundrum, but he never would've expected that he would deem his problem null and void with a simple hand movement
'... I seem to forget just how powerful this blonde pervert actually is.'
"Now that the little problem is out of the way, I should tell you about the connection between Boundless Restoration and the Progenitor of the Divine Phoenixes. This information will wind up pertaining greatly to your future."
Loki was feeling a little generous after posturing like a pro in front of Azmond. He didn't mind bestowing more of his divine knowledge upon the ignorant mortal.
"Okay." An emotionless confirmation sounded out.
Loki was a little disappointed by Azmond's reaction. However, he figured that Azmond knew that he was doing this stuff on purpose. He must've already figured out that he was just trying to elicit a reaction from him.
'This mortal is so stupid and so astute at the same time. It is really throwing me for a loop...'
Loki's thoughts faded out before he resumed his rant.
"Boundless Restoration has a very special connection with the progenitor of the Divine Phoenixes. It is, in actuality, the last material object the progenitor left behind before he was sealed away by the Paragon Gods."
'The progenitor of the Divine Phoenixes was actually sealed away by the inhabitants of God's Domain? How much effort would one need to put in to be able to seal a being at the very pinnacle of existence?'
"You are wondering why such a strong force of nature was capable of being sealed away. Aren't you?" Loki asked with a playful grin.
"..." Azmond used his right to remain silent.
"It doesn't really matter whether you respond or not, because I already know the truth about the matter. I will tell you what you are so yearning to know. After all, I am on a kindness streak today!" A haughty aura once more invaded the atmosphere.
"The key to this query of yours on sealing is exactly that..." A frivolous look overtook his expression before he continued speaking.
"Sealing."
"..." Azmond wasn't quite following.
"I'm trying to tell you that he was sealed, not killed. There is a huge difference between the two.
The fact that he was only able to be sealed even with the combined effort of the top echelons of God's Domain working together should give you a very good idea of just how much strength the progenitor of the Divine Phoenixes possessed.
He was a being so powerful that no number of Gods could ever blow out his life force."
Azmond's eyes widened a little at this revelation. He knew that the progenitor had to be absurdly strong, but he never guessed that his feats extended so far
