Chapter 141: Are We Almost There Yet?
....
A few minutes later...
|Are we almost there yet?|
"No"
A small pout formed on Boundless's rosy complexion.
|You lied to me before!| She said, while pounding his shoulders with her small, dainty hands.
"No, I didn't. I simply altered the way I answered your question." He said with an indifferent expression.
His figure continued zipping across the skies as he passed all the vast forestry below at a speed that made it all seem like a blur.
Hearing such a reply only made the adorable pout on her face grow even more pronounced!
|That is the same thing as lying, you meanie!|
"Hmm Is it now? I don't think I would go through the trouble to lie to you over something so simple, though. Are you sure all that weight hasn't gone to your head? That could be the cause of your spouting such nonsense." He said with a small, imperceptible smile.
** Angry cat noises intensify! **
|I am not fat, you baka!| She said while throwing those milk jugs all over his back.
And she had the audacity to say she wasn't 'fat'. Tell that to those two melons attached to you...
She became as puffed up as a squirrel preparing for winter as she flailed her lusty body on top of Azmond. Her two squishy bunnies inadvertently scraped up against his back with passion.
That was her revenge for the big meanies hurtful words!
The 'Victim' of such an 'aggressive attack' was currently going through a very tumultuous swirl of emotions.
Those marshmallows of hers were really testing his faith!
But he would persevere! He refused to fall for such earthly desires!
"Mhmu!"
Even Emu looked to be cheering on his resolve as it jiggled on top of his long bed of hair. It watched this entire interaction between him and Boundless with rapt attention!
It seemed little Emu was quite the lover of drama
A while later...
|Are we there yet?|
The same scene repeated itself as the meek voice of Boundless resounded out across the expansive sea of clouds they were gliding through. It had already been around 30 minutes since they had left the black altar, and yet they still hadn't made it back to the Giant Spiritual Garden.
It turns out that they were a lot further away from Crystalline than they originally assumed.
Azmond, upon hearing the same thing for what felt like the 100th time now, decided to!
Ignore her!
He turned his head away from those fun bags leaning over his shoulder and focused his attention on the skies beyond. Seemingly finding something interesting there
She immediately felt that he wasn't planning on responding to her, as her cheeks puffed up once more.
|Meanie Baka!| She said with a vexed expression.
She turned her unholy body away from the side of Azmond's face before snuggling herself back up into his backside, quickly falling into a deep slumber.
An exasperated sigh escaped his mouth as he looked at her peacefully sleeping face with his Divine sense. His tired voice followed not long after.
'Is this girl a gerbil or something? She is all over the place. And those cheeks of hers really do remind me of a few squirrels I looked after in my past life. After all, forest animals liked me quite a lot when I wasn't training.' His useless thoughts resounded out inside his head.
Little Emu had also, unsurprisingly, fallen asleep on top of his head as well. It's little golden-shaped eyes became a lighter color as it looked like it was having quite a tranquil dream.
'Wait How can a slime fall asleep? That doesn't make any sense'
A perplexed expression emerged on his face as he brooded over yet another useless topic while waiting for the Giant Spiritual Stone Garden to appear.
...
A few more minutes passed...
That was when something changed, as a distant silhouette of what looked like a bunch of huge boulders and a gigantic tree appeared in the corner of Azmond's deep, blue eyes.
An indescribable gleam passed through his pupils as he realized that he was back 'home'. He had made it back to his Ice Queen in one piece
A melancholic aura pervaded the air around him as he arrived at the giant spiritual garden in a split second. And what he saw was the sight of a woman with long black hair and green eyes, peacefully sleeping.
Her irresistible body restlessly wiggled around, while those two perky bunnies of hers bounced all over the place. Sweat made its way down her curvaceous body as it explored every crack and crevice of her sinful figure
Azmond appreciated such a sight for a moment before his attention was drawn to the expanding aura, still continuously growing around her.
He could immediately tell that she had already broken through into the Peak Nascent Soul Realm! And it appeared like her aura was at the very peak of said realm!
Just a little bit more, and she should be able to break through into the Soul Transformation Realm with an excellent foundation to boot!
Such a sight put his glum mood into a more joyful one, as his love gaining even more power would only alleviate the constant worry he had in his heart.
Although he doubted that his overprotectiveness would be reduced
Still, this was good news! And that wasn't the only piece of good news, as he could also feel that the 'unknown' energy she absorbed, which allowed her to improve her cultivation so dramatically, was on the verge of depletion. Which meant that
She would awake soon!
Although he didn't know the exact time she would wake up from her deep state of cultivation, he assumed it would be by the time she broke through to the Soul Transformation Realm.
Such an event would happen any day now, with the rate at which she was improving!
He would finally be able to see Crystalline after so many months apart. Nothing could make him happier at the moment. However That is not to say that he couldn't become happier!
Azmond was a paradoxical man, that's for sure. Everything he said seemed to contradict himself
