"You can go now that the face mask is done. I need to sleep," said Nian Suian.

She tried to pull Gu Junxing up from the sofa, but unexpectedly, he pulled her down instead, causing her to fall onto his lap. The sudden movement startled her, and she immediately stood up.

"What are you doing?! Can we not play around like this right now? What if I accidentally hurt you? Don't blame me if something happens!"

His warm breath on her ear made her shrink away slightly, and when she spoke again, her voice carried a hint of coyness.

"If Zhijing finds out, he'll say you're being disrespectful as a father again. What do you mean 'just the two of us'? What are you planning?"

"What do you think I'm planning? Hmm?"

"I don't know anything! You should go now, I need to sleep." Nian Suian kicked his leg lightly.

Gu Junxing stood up and cleared his throat - he really couldn't stay any longer...
