Chapter 2643 Preparatory Water
Chapter 2643 Preparatory Water
Rui smiled at her question. "Not yet, no."
An expression of confusion and curiosity emerged on her face. "What do you mean?"
"You'll see," Rui smirked. "I might need your help in training."
An enthusiastic smile emerged on her face. "Okay!"
Rui smiled at her with appreciation before falling into thought. He had a plan.
The people of Solaris Kingdom valued light bending.
Then, in order to win them over. He needed to prove that not only was he extraordinary at it. But also that they, too, could gain the power that he displayed; in other words, he intended to use the free-for-all as a demonstration of the magical light-bending prowess that he possessed by virtue of his knowledge and understanding of light as a phenomenon.
There was so much that light could do and did do that nobody in this world, barring perhaps a handful of individuals, understood.
If he successfully weaponized all the principles he had at his disposal, he would surely be able to accomplish feats that the Masters of the Solaris Kingdom would be unable to. And yet, the fact of the matter was that they had dedicated their entire lives to light bending.
That was something that no amount of theoretical knowledge could ever compensate for.
So what if he was literate on optics, electromagnetism, and radiation from his physics background?
He had only bent light a handful of times in his entire life. His past was not filled with light bending.
"That is something that needs to change."
She frowned at his words. "How do you change the past?"
He smirked. "I don't need to change the past. I just need to retcon the soul."
Amare's eyes widened as she caught a hint of what he was planning to do. In their fight, he domineeringly came to gain an advantage after his mastery of the Yin-Yang Spear suddenly spiked to approach the same realm of mastery that Amare possessed for all her movements.
"…That's dangerous," her tone was that of sincere concern as she directed a worried gaze at him. "Must you go that far?"
He glanced at her. "This is what it means to be Water."
His eyes grew more determined. "I am willing to change in any and all manners it takes to win."
His words only made her more concerned.
And her concern was not misplaced.
He understood the risks of doing what he was setting out to do better than anyone else did. Editing muscle memory was an extraordinarily dangerous process. This was because all muscle memory contributed to the normal combat power that he displayed against the others.
If he made even the slightest inaccuracy, he could die.
There was a lot of passive skill involved in the power of Martial Artists. After all, their raw physicality was only that of a Martial Senior. And yet, they were able to deliver the power of Martial Masters through it without breaking their own bodies apart. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Just to ensure that their own power did not destroy their power, they possessed a lot of passive skill now how to efficiently and flawlessly direct their power in a manner that wouldn't destroy their own bodies.
What if Rui accidentally sealed a bit of this passive skill?
Then, the next time he threw a punch, his own fist would be destroyed.
That was why this entire venture was deeply dangerous. "But, it also has a lot of potential," he remarked aloud, turning to Amare. "Adaptively evolving my life history to be perfectly developed to be antithetical to my opponent. Almost as if I had trained my entire life just to defeat the one opponent in front of me."
It was the future.
It was a new dimension of Adaptive Evolution he hadn't ever considered in his entire life. He had only happened upon it in his battle with Amare as a result of the CREATION System and his own extraordinary hypnotic power.
If not for his extraordinary mind, this wouldn't have been possible. It took an astronomical amount of mental power to process the muscle memory and replace it. It wasn't easy to change the movements associated with neuron connections with another movement. It took a profound depth of hypnotic power.
On top of that, even he needed to use Megamind. It was such a difficult task that even his Martial Mind found it impossible without the boost from Megamind.
"If I can somehow master this power in my regular power, I will be able to upgrade my Adaptive Evolution to even greater heights," he realized. "As risky as this is, the resulting power is also something that I deeply covet."
It was a level of flexibility that would be absolutely unprecedented in the history of Martial Art. He highly doubted that there had ever been a Martial Artist who was more flexible than he was at this point.
He looked forward to witnessing the heights that he would ascend to on his journey and voyage across all of human civilization.
And so, his task for next month had already been decided.
Over the next month, he would dedicate himself to creating powerful light-oriented techniques that would make him absolutely antithetical to light wielders while simultaneously wielding light himself.
After creating as many powerful techniques as he could, he would then deploy Soul Retcon to carefully seal away his mastery of old techniques and replace them with mastery of these techniques, replacing old memory with fictional new memories in which he had spent his entire life mastering these techniques.
Once he had gained the mastery he desired, he would flesh out his combat style with simulations and other systems of thought that would allow him to refine this new fictional style that he would be deploying against the sol Martial Masters.
And then, and only then, would he be fully prepared to win the free-for-all contest that was to take place in a month's time.
What he was attempting to do was not only impossible for anybody else but would also be considered madness even if it wasn't.
And yet, a wide grin emerged on his face.
"I look forward to this battle."
