Chapter 1359 Ultimate Grade Lightning
Viewing being berserk as a tool or even a skill that he could use goes completely away from his train of thought up to this point. He had dealt with the hatred for Supernaturals inside of him so he should've had a more open mind.
His experiences of going berserk were untasteful.
And because of that—he branded going berserk as something bad when it wasn't the case.
It was bad if the situation was not right but going berserk in a situation like this was perfect.
Now, the proof that going berserk could be a good thing was in front of him.
Brassik's carcass sprawled at the center of the crater, its long body was still twitching—and moving but the grim reaper had already taken its soul. Even the remaining rock snakes were already running away in fear.
Only a handful of them were left, the Ashen Assassins should be able to take care of them.
Rex crawled to the carcass through his stiffening body.
His blood veins were hardening, turning into stones, causing a great deal of pain but he was suffering more from the itch—and burn in his throat. Rex used his sharp claws to scratch his neck, his claws dug into his skin and drew blood from how sharp they were.
But that didn't stop him as the itch and burn were overwhelming him.
Despite already clawing his neck, he couldn't reach the spot where it mattered the most.
And it was driving him crazy!
I need to eat... meat, organs, I don't care anymore!
Climbing the carcass, he sat on his knees strugglingly, his breaths were heavy.
Looking at the massive slab of meat in front of him, Rex flexed his hand and dug inside with his claws, taking out chunks of flesh. His eyes stared at the bloodied chunk of meat—on his hand, contemplating through his anger-infused mind.
Subconsciously, he knew that there was no going back once he ate this.
However, that hesitation was completely wiped off, when the parchment from the Angels not too long ago crossed his mind. Rex knew the Fourthborn would be tenth-rank realm strong— and he needed to be stronger before he appeared.
Now, the Angels for some reason were also aiming at him.
Void is also in the tenth-rank realm, the pressure coming from them was real.
Rex needed to get stronger faster no matter what.
Once that settled in his mind, he opened his mouth and took a big bite from the meat.
A burst of flavor exploded inside his mouth, causing Rex's eyes to open wide open, he could feel a gentle and soft breeze massaging his tastebuds—as soon as he took a bite. Rex knew that the taste of raw meat changed once he became a Werewolf.
Normal food became less tasty and raw meat became incredibly flavorful.
In this case, Brassik's meat was tender and filled with a sweet tang.
Such good food gave him goosebumps.
Rex felt like this sensation was akin to back when he ate good food, after a very long time of eating bland food from the military kitchen. And once he recovered he immediately began to devour the carcass whole-heartedly.
Each bite was a delicacy, the taste of a pseudo-tenth-rank realm Order Beast is magical.
<Notice: the user is devouring a pseudo-tenth-rank realm Order Beast!>

Countless notifications flooded his vision—to be exact, one notification appeared with each bite he took. But Rex wasn't concerned about that—he was more concerned about the fact, that the itch and burn were finally being satiated.
He needed to devour raw meat to satiate these sensations.
Due to his massive stature, blessed by the Demon Moon's power, eating the carcass did not take long at all. Rex finished the lower half of the carcass in mere minutes—and he was now going to continue eating the upper half.
As he devoured more, his mind became clearer.
Other than obtaining more exp, he also recovered his sanity by devouring this carcass.
Now he experienced first-hand the magic of devouring.
However, as he was about to continue, he stopped at the sight of a glowing sphere.
It was located near the carcass' head, and it was radiant on the inside.
Upon seeing this, Rex grabbed the upper half of the carcass' insides and ripped it in half.
A glowing deep brown sphere fell to the ground—with a light thud, the sphere was so robust and hot that it was sinking to the ground. Rex grabbed it—before it could fall into the earth's crust and inspected it.
"An Elemental Order... An Earth Elemental Order" Rex smiled, his fangs poking out.
Rex knew that Order Beasts—were mutated animals that were able to evolve their core into this beautiful sphere. It contained so much mana that it felt heavy in his hand even with the current strength he commands.
Not to mention, the Earth Elemental Order was retaliating fiercely.
Its mana slowly enveloped Rex's hand into rock.
Had it not been for the Demon Moon that amplified everything about him, Rex would be in a lot of trouble, the Earth Elemental Order would've turned his entire arm into a rock, and who knows if it stopped only at that.
Perhaps, if Rex let it, his entire body would be turned into a rock.
But he didn't want to find out.
<Notice: the user obtained an Earth Elemental Order!>
<Does the user want to extract the Earth Elemental Order to amplify the user's affinity?>
Struggling to think clearly still, it was a struggle for him to answer this question.
Can it only upgrade my earth affinity?
<Negative—an Elemental Order contained a different type of power that could enhance any elemental affinities. One downside of enhancing a different affinity to the Elemental Order is that the result would be about 40% less effective>
No problem, enhance my lightning affinity.
<Affirmative>
Rex observed as the Earth Elemental Order in his hand was extracted, the mana it emanated was pulled into his hand, causing it to become smaller and smaller with each passing second—and in ten seconds, the entire brown sphere disappeared.
Just then, the energy that was extracted surged through Rex's arm.

It snaked through his insides and instantly went into his spirit core at the center of his body.
Once it reached the spirit core—his entire body suddenly flexed on its own as statics began to blitz from his body randomly and powerfully. It originated from the center of his body and expanded to his limbs repeatedly.
Each shock forced a grunt out of Rex's body.
Although the process hurts, it wasn't something Rex couldn't handle.
Something inside of him changed, his body felt anew, and certainly more powerful somehow.
Once the statics settled, a pulse from his spirit core, sent a wave of lightning mana, inside of him that felt like a gush of cold wind. Rex cracked his neck and joints to shake off the feeling before he looked down to check his body.
Mild lighting flashes across his skin—his lightning prowess has definitely increased.
<Extraction and energy allocation have been completed!>
<Allocation target: lightning affinity>
<Lightning Affinity has been upgraded: High -> Ultimate>
<Obtained 30,000 Intelligence stat points!>
<Lightning Affinity Progression (Ultimate): 67%/100%>
Rex read through the rows of notifications and couldn't help but smirk.
As far as he was concerned—he knew that the affinities that were sold in the System's shop consisted of low affinity, mid, high, and ultimate. He didn't know if there was anything higher than that.
However, now that he saw the progression bar, it seemed there was a higher grade.
It has been quite some time since he checked the Shop for elemental affinities.
He hasn't checked the lower part yet and he might later once the night is over.
30,000 points increase in intelligence...? Isn't that really good?
Seeing the amount of increase he had gotten from having his affinity grade increased to the ultimate grade, Rex was so surprised that the clouds from his berserk state in his mind were wiped for a couple of seconds.
And the progression section shows that he was 33% away from reaching the next grade.
At this point, one more Elemental Order and he would reach the next grade certainly.
Realizing that good news, his berserk stat returned as he looked skyward at the edge of the crater he was in. His legs bulged and his eyes glowed crimson—and in the next second, Rex opened his inventory.
He took out the rewards he had gotten from killing Brassik.
It was the antidote for the Rock Syndrome.
He popped the top of the vial and gulped down the yellow liquid inside.
Almost instantly, the stiffness his body was suffering from gradually disappeared.
Crack!
Swoosh!
As soon as the stiffness was gone completely, Rex blasted skywards like a rocket.
He soared to the sky from the crater with his tongue out and eyes bulging.
"Here rabbit, rabbit!" He called, scanning his eyes around. "I'm coming to get you!"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Seeing that Brassik was defeated, Voltara must've run away as the chance for them to kill Rex was out of the window. He had gotten strong enough to the point that he could brawl with Brassik and win.
Being the fastest among the trio, Voltara decided to run away but that was futile.
Now that the System has been upgraded to version 2, the scan range has become far wider.
One command and the view in front of him was scanned by a blue light and soon, the stat he was looking for popped out in the distance. It was Voltara—it was already far away. Although its speed was slower from fatigued, it was still quite fast.
Rex laughed, saliva dripped from his mouth, "Found you!"
He was already anticipating the fun he would have now that he was stronger, it was time for him to repay the bullying he received from Voltara and Brassik. Rex created a platform made of red force to step on, facing the direction of where Voltara was heading.
But as he was about to kick the platform and starfalling towards Voltara, he stopped.
<Warning: Kyran Cervantes is severely wounded!>
Upon seeing this, Rex clicked his tongue in displeasure as he turned to the other side.
Changing directions, he kicked the platform and zoomed towards a massive hedgehog.
Controlling every single energy he has to spiral around him, he became a literal meteor under the Demon Moon's light. So much power was concentrated on him—that a thunderous crack, exploded, startling anyone in the area.
Meanwhile, Kyran was still being bullied hard.
He became strong enough to endure the attacks but he couldn't do anything to Kragos.
Kaboom!
Kyran was thrown back, rolling across the ground before he regained his footing.
Planting his feet firmly, he roared at the charging Kragos.
Power-wise, he had reached, the early part of the pseudo-tenth-rank realm, the power from the Demon Moon increased his strength so much. Angered that his attacks weren't working, he pulled his arm back and charged his claws.
Swoosh!
Recalling the trick of Rex's force beam, Kyran summoned his moonlight energy.
He also coated it with his bloodline prowess, tainting his claws with azure liquid.
Despite the immense amount of moonlight energy—that he had amassed, Kyran was able to condense it to a quarter of an inch from his claws. Smiling, he punched his claws ahead—he sent an azure beam straight at the charging Kargos.
It flew like a bullet, breaking the sound barrier.
Coupled with the charging momentum, Kragos was only able to barely dodge the beam.
Kyran's eyes lit up when the beam grazed Kragos' side and drew blood.
He laughed loudly, playing with his tongue in a mocking gesture.
Furious, Kragos' body gleamed with a brown hue.
A block of earth struck Kyran from the side, pushing him towards the charging Kragos.
Once it was near, it curled into a ball of quills.
Kaboom!
Kyran was thrown away from the impact, multiple quills stabbed his body again but he was able to protect his vital organs. He coughed out blood but Kragos was already right beside him, bring its wrath alongside it.
Just as Kragos was about to end Kyran for good, the sky exploded with a thunderous sound.
Glancing skywards, Kragos' eyes widened.
His pupils lit up, with the sight of a meteor.
Kaboom!!
What do you think?
