Chapter 114: The Last Test In Monster's Abode (1)

Chapter 114: The Last Test In Monster's Abode (1)

Axel's PoV:

I ran into the forest and went to every corner of the forest except for the part of the forest that was near the boundary.

I was searching for a monster that was exactly level 4000 so that it would be at least fair for the junior heroes.

It would be bullying them if I find a monster that was several levels above it.

The junior heroes had already defeated a monster that was in level 1500 except for some of them.

It should be possible for them to defeat a monster that was almost thrice as powerful as the monster that they had fought before if the six of them teamed up against a level 4000 monster.

Even if they didn't defeat it, I would still help them as long as they were able to at least damage the level 4000 monster.

I should focus on finding the right monster that was qualified to fight against the junior heroes.

I kept on running in the forest, passing through trees, tall grasses, and thick vegetation.

After searching throughout the forest for a couple of minutes, I found a level 3000 ground leopard.

"Too weak!"

I appeared in front of the level 3000 ground leopard and slapped its head which pulverized it, leaving some blood and shattered bones from its skull.

I went deeper into the forest and after searching the forest for a few seconds, I encountered a level 10,000 wind griffin.

"Too strong!"

I closed the distance between me and the wind griffin by using my massive amount of speed stat which created a sonic boom.

I grabbed the head of the wind griffin and exerted some of my strength to crush the wind griffin's head, killing it in the process.

The shattered bones and blood of the wind griffin were currently in my hand so I cleaned and rinsed it off using my water magic.

I stored the remains of the wind griffin which was now headless into the system inventory.

"Maybe I should go less deep into the forest since this part of the forest might be overrun by numerous level 10,000 and above monsters."

I went back by a kilometer and roamed the forest for a while to search for the most qualified monster to fight with the junior heroes.

After a few minutes of searching the forest, I found a lake and within that lake, a level 4000 water wyvern was sleeping at the bottom of the lake.

"Just right!"

I had decided that the level 4000 water wyvern was fit to be the opponent of the junior heroes.

I manipulated the water using my water magic, floated the water into the air, and formed the water into a sphere.

The water wyvern was at the bottom of the lake with no water present since I had already removed it from the lake.

It would only be a matter of time before the water wyvern found out that I had already removed the water from the lake.

A few minutes had passed and the level 4000 water wyvern wasn't awake yet.

I might as well forcefully wake it up so that my plan would be performed much sooner.

It would be pointless to suffocate the water wyvern using the water from the lake since it must have already attained a water breathing skill.

I transformed the water from the lake that was still in the air into a staff.

I controlled the huge water staff and slammed it towards the middle part of the water wyvern's body while limiting my strength to avoid killing the water wyvern.

The water wyvern groaned in pain as it woke up from my huge water staff strike.

The water wyvern used its mana to float itself into the air and faced me with its fierce gaze.

It seemed that the water wyvern was furious because I had woke the water wyvern from its slumber.

The water wyvern growled at me, released a stream of water from its mouth, and used the stream of water to attack me.

I released my mana and manifested a huge hand using my mana which I used to block the water attack of the water wyvern.

Even though I would be able to survive its water attack without harming me at least one bit, it was still a pain in the neck to dry myself off.

Also, I would be able to unleash some of my power that would be enough to prove that I'm much more powerful than the water wyvern.

By doing so, the water wyvern might submit to me after it witnessed my power or so I thought.

The water wyvern was so stubborn and unwilling to admit defeat that it started to generate a stronger water attack from its mouth.

Before it could unleash its attack towards me, I manipulated the huge hand that was made out of mana and used it to hold the water wyvern which interrupted it from continuing the water wyvern's water attack.

I slowly applied force into my mana hand and the water wyvern growled in pain as I kept on increasing the force.

I released the water wyvern and dropped it near my location.

The water wyvern wasn't badly injured but only some light bone fracture that should be healed using healing magic.

"Are you willing to submit to me?"

I asked the water wyvern and the water wyvern agreed without any hesitation by nodding its head quickly.

"Good! From now on, listen to my commands even if it will risk your life. After all, you should be grateful that I had extended your life by not killing you right now."

The water wyvern nodded its head after hearing what I had said.

I didn't bother wasting a bit of my mana and some of my time just to enslave the water wyvern since it's just a monster that I'm going to dispose of later on.

{Indeed! Master, It's a waste to contract with that lesser dragon that is much worse than a mix blooded dragon! Even calling a wyvern a lesser dragon is an insult to my dragon race since it only has a few drops of dragon blood in its bloodline!}

Now, now. Don't be furious about that water wyvern, the dragon king.

As I had said before, I'm going to dispose of it later on.

I focused on the matter at hand and observed the condition of the water wyvern.

The water wyvern had some light bone fracture so I might as well heal it so that it would be able to fight against the junior heroes in its peak condition.

"Since you are one of my subordinates now, I'll heal your wounds so that you would be able to complete the task that I'm going to give you."

I cast my healing magic towards the water wyvern which healed the light bone fractures that my attack had inflicted before.

I also transferred my mana towards the water wyvern so that the water wyvern would be able to fight against the junior heroes using all of its skills.

I noticed that the water wyvern was delighted because I had healed its wounds and recovered its consumed mana.

I didn't mind it that much since the water wyvern would be dead anyways after it fought against the junior heroes.

"Now that I have healed your wounds and helped you recover your mana, you will now complete the task that I'm going to give you."

The water wyvern wasn't able to speak in human language or any other language but could still understand human language.

So I continued in commanding and talking with the water wyvern since it was able to understand what I had said to it.

"You will fight against 6 individuals that I will assign you to defeat. Remember that I'm only going to allow you to defeat them and not eliminate them."

"Also, try to avoid inflicting major wounds that could be life-threatening. If you failed to do what I had commanded you to do, then you'll pray that death is your only punishment."

I warned the water wyvern and it was a good thing that it was smart enough to understand my intentions.

"Now that's finished, it's time for me to make my entry and announce to the junior heroes that I'm going to held the last test for them which mainly focused on improving the junior heroes' teamwork."

I activated my [Flight] skill and flew into the air.

I signaled the water wyvern to follow me and it listened to me without any questions.

The water wyvern activated its a skill that was similar to [Flight] but was somehow different.

I wouldn't be able to know what skill the water wyvern was using unless I signed a contract with it so that I would able to communicate with it via telepathy.

The water wyvern and I were flying above the forest and were heading towards the part of the forest where the junior heroes were located at.

My teammates were also up in the sky and were looking after the junior heroes while I was away.

I looked down and saw the junior heroes were currently recovering their mana so I waited for a while until they had recovered their mana.

After that, I opened a hole from the protective array and obscuring array, entered it, and descended on the ground.

"It's time for the last test!"

I announced and faced the confused expression of the junior heroes.
