The Dreamer's POV

Chapter 230 The Time To Leave

Lord Markus and his ugly right hand man finally decided to leave once the sun of the next morning came up.

I watched as the noble and his men huddled together while he activated a magic artifact in his hand–a communication orb, and once the light of the orb disappeared, a blue bright light engulfed the group, glyphs writing itself beneath them and instantly, they all disappeared.

The spell was beautiful, and kind of like my greater teleportation skill.

Lord Theo had waved them goodbye, and with them gone, I, Drius and Theo remained alone on the mansion's lawn.

Drius swiftly turned to Theo, and then bowed.

"Lord Theo, the secrets of the Crimson Orge Dance you bestowed to me have been most useful to me, I'm closer to mastering the technique and I hope to display it before your eyes my lord. Of course, this will be after the ball."

"Very well, I trust you to have used the best of your time. I expect to be pleased."

Even to Drius, Theo acted like a typical noble, I understood that the act still lingered after the duke of the Gloria domain left, but his growth has been very interesting, children were like a sponge once it came to absorbing information.

Speaking of the ball, it would take place in two days, and at the royal palace which was thousands of kilometers west, we would have to teleport to the place, but how?

I looked at Theo,

'I don't suppose the family has a magician that can do what just transported the Lord away, or do they? I am not sure my greater teleportation would work with other people.'

"Do you have a family magician of some sort Theo?"

Drius suddenly feigned a cough from the question, had I done something wrong?

"We did, but he fought against the invaders and died at their hands." Theo solemnly said.

"Ohhh…" was the only thing I could offer, perhaps they weren't close, but judging from the boy's reaction, the man had been more than just a family magician.

"I suppose it's now or never."

"What are you speaking of?" Theo asked.

"We need to find a way to the royal palace do we not?" We simply can't reach there in a matter of days, it would take at least a week on running beasts. We would have to teleport."

"Teleport?" Theo questioned.

"Yes, or do you have better ideas?"

Theo fell silent still looking at me. He hadn't thought about how we would get there, and who could blame him, he had been busy appeasing one of the kingdom's most powerful men.

"No" he finally said.

"Let's see." I said and began to walk. The servants had left relaxing chairs for the lords should they think to relax.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"I'll try my greater teleportation, with my hands touching it. With my hypothesis, it should come with me to my destination unharmed, and back."

I got to the chair, and held it with my right hand. I called out the skill,

"<Greater teleportation>" and a wall of blue light bathed me and the chair and we disappeared right outside the gate, just by the guards.

The men were startled by my sudden presence, and had drawn out swords, but they relaxed soon as they saw my face and attire.

"Relax, it is just a test, go back to your stations." I told them, prompting them to move back to their previous positions.

"Just a test." I muttered and the light bathed me once more and I was at where I had just left.

Theo's eyes widened, of course he knew I could do magic, but I wasn't sure he had seen me use the craft actively.

He was shaken, I could tell.

"That was successful. I figured that since my clothes remained on me during teleportation, then I should be able to move the things I am in contact with."

I just needed to have a clear image of the place, and viola, I was gone. The only issue now would be picturing the kingdom's capital. I haven't been much through anywhere aside from the Lyma region and Terrance, the royal capital was completely alien to me, though I was certain that it would be a beautiful place, much more beautiful than what we had here.

I had two days to figure it out.

"With a voice and of course a location on the map, I can find my anchor and teleport us all to the damn place." I said with a grin, proud of my progress on understanding more of the greater teleportation skill.

"Damn place?" Theo asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, you know what I mean."

The boy turned and began walking back to the mansion. He stopped, and turned, swaying his hand in a majestic manner.

"Lord Markus mentioned that he was leaving for the kingdom's capital as soon as he left here, perhaps we can use him as an anchor."

"Definitely better than nothing."

"Yes, we would employ a communication orb. The letter gives the levity of bringing two persons with one, and you two, my most trusted aides will fit that role." He declared, he didn't request that we did as he commonly did in the past, this was an order, and though I understood his position, I realized that I would run mad if I continued to be ordered, it was just not part of my nature.

"Yes, my lord." Drius beside me answered, but I didn't. I watched as the little boy duke got into the mansion.

The two days went in a swoop, I had spent my time training my minions and pitting them against Drius. The Mage'earth native was growing quite fast, adapting quickly as he fought, the armour though added some weight to him sort of made him faster which was a little hard to believe, but it was magic, magic worked in strange ways.

I also noticed that he had improved in his martial arts the <Crimson ogre's dance> technique, he fought beautifully with it, and though Black fought hard to best him, he had grown strong enough to beat the imperial knights, and that was mighty impressive.

"It's time." I said, walking to the spot of the lawn where Drius and Theo awaited.
