The Blue Eyes

Chapter 251 - WHERE AM I?

He felt his head so heavy as if it was just hit by a boulder of rock. His eyes shut, but they gradually opened even if it was difficult for him to lift the lids.

When the hazel eyes were finally free from the lid blankets, he found himself inside a spacious room that was dominated by silver color. He furrowed his brows as he failed to recognize the place.

'Where am I?' He wondered inwardly as he brought his gaze to scan the room.

The room looked like Selena's secret laboratory that was also dominated by silver color, and when his eyes caught a sigh of lots of modern tools in the room that also looked like the tools in Selena's laboratory, he concluded that he was in the laboratory that was more spacious than Selena's.

'But, whose laboratory is it? It's so spacious and modern, so the owner of this laboratory must be an important person,' he continued wondering in his heart, but when he tried to move his hands, he failed to do as he wished.

He brought his gaze to the back of his body and found his hands were being tied up behind his body. He was sitting on a chair with his two hands being tied up behind the chair, and he couldn't move his hands because the rope was thick and strong.

He tried to free himself from the bound, but it was not easy because he didn't have the supernatural powers anymore. Even though he wasn't bound by strong chains, it wouldn't be easy for him to break free from the bound without his powers.

Kris suddenly felt so useless. 'I was so proud of my powers in the past, but now when I'm powerless, I can't do anything. I hate to admit it, but the powers from Professor Joseph Beischel are indeed helpful.'

There was only him in the room, but then he noticed some strange objects in the spacious room. There were several vertical glass tubes, and inside the tubes were some figures that resembled werewolves.

'What? How come there are werewolves in this place? All werewolves had been injected with the antidote, right?'

Kris was puzzled as he kept observing the figures inside the glass tubes, but he felt more terrified right now. If there were still werewolves in the world, then the world probably wouldn't be peaceful anymore.

Someone must be behind this secret project, and humanity probably was in danger now.

Kris tried to connect the dots, and he guessed that those werewolves had the relation with the matter he was investigating with Kevin.

Ah, Kevin. Kris was so angry with Kevin yesterday, and he left his fiance in the orphanage. He regretted his reckless decision for leaving his fiance alone.

He knew Kevin so well, and his fiance surely would be worried because of him. Truth be told, he wasn't truly angry at Kevin and planned to go back home after meeting Steve yesterday, but then he fell unconscious and couldn't go back to Kevin afterward.

Wait. He lost his consciousness when he met Steve, right? But how?

When he was still having trouble in his mind, he could hear the sound of the door being opened, followed by footsteps that seemed to be heading to where he was right now.

Kris was alerted as the footsteps were getting closer to him. He was tied in the chair, and surely the person who was walking toward him right now was not a good person. Perhaps the person was the one who kidnapped him.

And when he got the chance to see who the person was, his hazel eyes widened in surprise.

"Steve?"

The man who was standing arrogantly in front of him was his trusted guard, Steve Fint.

Ah, could he address the man as his guard now? The man looked so arrogant and cold toward him, and Kris could sense that the man was no longer the Steve he knew.

Kris laughed at himself. "So, it's indeed you all along? It's indeed you who killed your brothers?" He questioned the man as he sneered at the man.

He was indeed so stupid for trusting Steve and doubting his fiance instead.

"You should have known it, Sir. Your boyfriend is suspecting me, right?"

Steve's question stunned Kris. "How did you know that Kevin is suspecting you?"

Steve suddenly brought up the topic related to Kevin, and Kris couldn't help but feel wary. Steve knew that Kevin was suspecting him, so he probably knew about their investigation as well.

"You don't even know what your boyfriend did behind your back, Sir?" Steve asked the tanned man in a mocking tone. "Ah, he probably did it last night when you didn't come back to him, but let me tell you about that. Your boyfriend probably looked for my email account in your document and asked someone to hack my account, Sir."

Kris gasped upon hearing Steve's statement. He lost his consciousness yesterday, and he couldn't even go home because of that. He didn't know what Kevin was doing behind his back, and what Steve just said surprised him.

Kevin asked someone to hack Steve's email account, and that someone probably was Luke. Kris didn't have any problem even if Kevin asked for help from the grey-haired man, but he was just worried about his fiance's safety.

"Kevin has hacked your account, so he has found out your crime, right? I'm sure he will do something to arrest you!"

Kris had confidence in his heart, but to his dismay, Steve suddenly laughed in front of him.

"Mr. Beischel indeed has found out about me and one of my bosses, but I doubt that he will be able to find about my other boss soon, Sir. And before your boyfriend can find anything about us, we probably will be ready for the next attack."

Kris was shocked. Kevin has found out about one of the bosses, but there was more than one boss here?

"You deliberately made me unconscious and kidnapped me. What's your problem with me, Steve?"
