The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 94

94 Human refrigerator

Everything around him including his heart froze at that moment. He could feel Zi Han’s fragrance, warmth, and glow engulfing his mind, body, and soul.

With his stomach ridden with butterflies, he slowly raised his head and was met by Zi Han’s face which was only a few centimeters from his.

Yi Chen calmed himself down and asked in a flat tone, “What’s up?”

Zi Han smiled slyly before sitting right on top of Yi Chen’s desk his legs spread apart in circling Yi Chen between them. Yi Chen took a fleeting glance at those legs spread apart like a runway and his breath hitched.

He hastily looked up at him and said, “Cadet Han get off my desk,” his voice hoarse like he had been deprived of water for the past few days. Yi Chen was really good at hiding his emotions but this time he made an error. He was so stimulated that he let something slip but Zi Han mistook it for disdain.

“Class president Chen may I ask if this is your contact?” he asked like an interrogator about to pin a murder on someone.

The students who were minding their own business curiously looked over wondering how this little show was going to proceed. Evan on the other hand was very regretful. If he knew Zi Han would act this way he would have happily carried that pot.

Li Ran and Hela who had been outside just now walked into such a scene. Shaken Li Ran grabbed Hela’s arm and said, “Vice, can I sit with you for the rest of the day?” in an almost begging tone.

Why? It was because he knew his friend too well and what Zi Han was doing right now was worth getting one’s ass kicked. He did not want to be caught in that crossfire so he chose to seek refuge elsewhere.

.....

Unfortunately, Hela was not as welcoming as the UNICEF, the girl blatantly refused as she shook his hand off. She was a little interested in the drama happening over there thus she hurried to her seat to ask her deskmate.

Li Ran had no choice but to sit in Zi Han’s seat but the neighbors weren’t as welcoming as well. Calling them hostile wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

Yi Chen looked at the contact details and admitted it with a placid expression. “Yes, it’s indeed my number.” His emotions were in a huge mess right now but he remained composed.

One can only imagine how difficult it was for him. This person was within his reach but he still couldn’t touch him. He had to stiffly keep his line of sight on Zi Han’s face otherwise he might lose his mind.

Zi Han smiled evilly and said, “You also wrote this, didn’t you?” Zi Han showed him the evidence and Yi Chen admitted it as well. It was at this point that he realized Zi Han had misunderstood him. Even as he re-read these messages in his mind he could see why.

He wanted to explain what he meant but when he realized his explanation might sell him out and make his feelings known he kept his mouth shut. Zi Han licked the pointy end of his canine tooth in annoyance before saying, “Since you dislike it so much then I can only desensitize you.”

“Where I am from there is absolutely nothing wrong with a man wearing a skirt and once you enlist and travel to different planets and stars you will see more things you consider abnormal.”

“So you can count this as me doing you a favor, okay?”

After saying this Zi Han patted his cheek twice before sitting down in Li Ran’s seat with his legs crossed at the knees showing more skin. Yi Chen’s tense muscles relaxed when Zi Han got off his desk.

His expression was calm but his little brother was very honest. It was more honest than himself.

He calmly took off his school jacket and placed it on his lap preventing Zi Han from noticing his abnormality. With that part covered he felt much better but he was still so nervous.

He wanted to look at Zi Han yet he pretended not to notice him. Yi Chen was staring at his mech repair notes but his real attention was on Zi Han out of the corner of his eye. He didn’t even look in that direction but at the same time, he was noticing the figure sitting beside him.

He wanted to draw Zi Han’s attention to himself but he couldn’t come up with anything that didn’t sound stupid. Unfortunately for him, his heart was so itchy that it went against his rational mind and asked, “Are you going to sit here for the rest of the day?”

Zi Han who was studying his disappointing grade from their previous repair looked up his brow knitted together and asked, “What? So I can’t sit here? Your deskmate is sitting in my seat,” before lowering his head and continuing with what he was doing.

Yi Chen felt giddy inside. He wanted to tell Zi Han about the copied script and that he didn’t have to wear a skirt anymore but he felt like if he said it now he might spark an intergalactic war right here.

Yi Chen decided to focus on his work for the time being or at least pretend like he was studying seriously when he heard a soft chuckle coming from his left. He didn’t want to look but that sound was as gentle as wind chimes being swayed by a soothing breeze.

No matter how he tried he couldn’t hold back. He bit his lower lip while encouraging himself. ‘It’s just a single glance. Just one glance that’s all,’ he said to himself before turning his head slightly. What he saw almost broke his brain.

Zi Han was smiling happily the kind of smile that was as beautiful as peonies under the sun. It was wonderful but this smile..... this smile was directed at someone else, not him. Zi Han was looking at his light brain smiling happily which made Yi Chen jealous.

He was so sour that he threw all pretenses out of the window and directly wore a dark face. His aura was so powerful that Zi Han raised his head feeling a sense of unease.

But when he raised his head Yi Chen was focusing on his work like Zi Han didn’t exist. Zi Han felt chills all over his body. It seemed annoying this human refrigerator wasn’t going to be as fun as he thought.
