The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 201

201 “You remember don’t you?”

For days Zi Han had been waiting to have this conversation with Yi Chen but he just couldn’t find the right time. And when Yi Chen touched him Zi Han would think of their entanglement that night thus he would distance himself.

When he saw Yi Chen today his confidence went out off the roof taking his soul with it. But when he was pressed down in the elevator Zi Han had had enough. As soon as they entered the cabin he grasped Yi Chen’s collar without thinking and bam.... he said it out loud. He initially wanted to kiss Yi Chen and truly taste the pleasurable feeling of kissing someone when sober but he changed his mind at the last minute. He wanted to hear Yi Chen say it. He wanted Yi Chen to say he remembered.

The cabin fell into silence as the two stared at each other with intense sparks flying between them. Zi Han let go of him and lightly pushed him away before taking a step back.

His expression unnatural he asked, “You remember don’t you?”

Yi Chen who was unwilling to part with him took a step forward his heartbeat ringing in his ears. “Mn,” he replied staring intently at Zi Han with a loving gaze.

Zi Han sniggered as he averted his gaze while taking a step back. He ruffled his hair with an absent expression as though lost in thought.

Yi Chen was at a loss. He planned on telling him today.

In fact, he planned on doing more than just telling him. He wanted to confess his feelings but he didn’t think Zi Han would remember everything and question him about it.

“Why didn’t you tell me,” asked Zi Han his intense gaze staring straight into his eyes. Yi Chen reached out to touch his hand but Zi Han dodged as though saying, ‘Don’t touch, just explain.’

.....

“Would you have believed me?” asked Yi Chen with a great sense of urgency in his tone, “Would you?”

Zi Han breathed in deeply as he created some distance between them. With his back to Yi Chen, he murmured, “No.” He most definitely wouldn’t have believed him. Why? It was because the him at the time would have thought that was the most absurd thing he had ever heard.

He probably would have taken it as a joke and brushed it off. ‘Fuck, he is right?’ thought Zi Han getting a massive headache. While he stood there wondering what to do next, he was suddenly embraced from behind with Yi Chen’s chin resting on his shoulder.

“Are you upset?” he asked not daring to look at Zi Han’s face lest he sees something he didn’t want to see.

Zi Han’s body tensed up feeling nervous. He rubbed his neck which felt itchy from Yi Chen’s hair rubbing against his skin. “Can’t you talk normally? Do you have to hold me like this,” asked Zi Han staring down at the arms wrapping his waist tightly.

“If I don’t you will run away,” said Yi Chen his voice deep and husky making Zi Han’s ears itch.

Riddled with anxiety he said, “I promise I won’t. We can talk normally.”

“You promise?” asked Yi Chen turning his face slightly before his warm breath brushed against Zi Han’s skin making him tingle.

“I promise... just, just let go first,” he said and Yi Chen reluctantly let him go.

Yi Chen spun him around by his arms and as they came face to face he raised his hand and lightly caressed Zi Han’s cheek. “I remembered everything..... I remembered the way you wrapped your arms around me.... I remembered how you sat on my lap and straddled me..... I remembered.....,” he paused as he rubbed Zi Han’s soft lips with his thumb, “the soft touch of your lips.”

Yi Chen’s eyes lit up and a beautiful smile crept up his face jolting Zi Han’s heart with his entire body stretched taut as though anticipating what was going to happen next. Yi Chen lowered his head and asked, “Can I do it again?”

Zi Han’s breathing stalled as his face heated up like he was having hot flashes. He rubbed his palm with the tips of his fingers while biting his lower lip looking like a cornered rabbit.

Yi Chen licked his bottom lip as he drew closer and closer. “If you don’t say anything I will take your silence as acquiescence,” he whispered with their foreheads pressed together.

Yi Chen’s fingers gently caressed Zi Han’s neck creating the most perfect atmosphere for such a romantic rendezvous.

Zi Han shivered involuntarily unable to extricate himself from this feeling. Like a moth drawn to the flame, his soul was captured by those eyes dragging him to the point of no return.

Their eyes locked together Yi Chen tilted his head slightly and their lips touched. Zi Han’s eyelashes trembled before he slowly closed his eyes.

An overpowering electric current swept past his body igniting an inexplicable feeling that he only felt in his spring dreams.

It was like his soul was transported elsewhere and he was walking on clouds. Yi Chen slowly parted their lips with reluctance. Maybe it was the overwhelming emotions or the fact that he didn’t want to do too much and scare Zi Han away that he let go.

Unfortunately for him, Zi Han hadn’t had enough yet. He grabbed Yi Chen’s collar and pulled him down pressing their lips together once more. He had no idea how it worked but he didn’t give a toss at this moment.

Their lips entangled in a heated exchange with Yi Chen’s hands lowering down grasping Zi Han’s waist and pulling him closer. When Yi Chen’s fingers caressed Zi Han’s waist through the fabric Zi Han let out a small groan adding fuel to the flames.

Zi Han couldn’t get enough of the taste of butterscotch on Yi Chen’s lips thus he licked Yi Chen’s lower lip with the tip of his tongue making the man shudder with excitement.

Zi Han knew he should stop. It was best they stopped now otherwise this might lead down a narrow road difficult to track. But despite setting off the alarm bells in his mind he still refused to let go.
