Hugo turned to him, his expression grim. "Big move? Yes, it's time. Why are we even waiting? The stars aren't going to magically align, Collins! We're this close, man. This close!"

Collins smirked, shaking his head. "Relax. Rushing it will make us look desperate. You can't force these things."

Hugo grabbed Collins by the arm dramatically, his voice lowering to a near whisper. "Do you know what's at stake here? My life, bro! My life! I either get nutted tonight, or…" He trailed off, imagining the worst.

His thoughts spiraled. The thought of death haunted him like a furious ghost. 'I don't wanna die! I'm still too young! I haven't bought a car, I haven't bought a private beach, I haven't even had sex!'

Collins chuckled, patting Hugo on the shoulder. "You're so dramatic. You need to stop treating every little thing like life or death."

"Life or death?" Hugo hissed. 'This is worse than life or death! If I don't seal the deal tonight, I would lose everything!'

"No offense, but your calmness is infuriating."

"Alright, alright," Collins said, holding up his hands in surrender. "Let's grab the snacks and finish strong. I've got a plan for the final touch."

A few minutes later, Hugo, Collins, Lily, and Tily stood in front of a brightly lit claw machine.

The machine gleamed like it was taunting Hugo specifically. Inside, rows of colorful plushies sat piled together, some perfectly positioned while others looked nearly impossible to grab.

Tily clapped her hands, her face lighting up. "I love claw machines! They're so cute!"

Lily nodded, her smile soft. "But they're super hard to win from. Are you guys sure you can do it?"

Collins cracked his knuckles like a professional athlete about to take the field. "Of course. Ladies, watch and learn."

Hugo crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes. 'Of course he's confident. He probably brings girls here every weekend and practices.'

Collins slid a token into the slot and took control of the joystick. He moved the claw with steady precision, lining it up perfectly over a pink bunny plushie.

The claw descended, grabbed the bunny like it had been doing this for years, and lifted it smoothly into the prize chute.

"Here you go," Collins said, handing the bunny to Tily with a smug grin.

Tily squealed, hugging the bunny like it was the best gift ever. "Thank you, Collins! You're amazing!"

Hugo felt his stomach twist. 'Amazing? Pfft. Anyone could do that. It's just luck. Beginner's luck… that he happens to have every time.'

"Your turn, Hugo," Collins said, stepping aside with a smirk.

Hugo straightened up, cracking his knuckles like he was about to destroy the machine. He slid a token in and gripped the joystick, his palms already sweating.

'Alright, Hugo. This is your moment. Show Lily that you're not just some amateur.'

The claw moved, shaky but determined. It hovered over a blue penguin plushie, descended… and grabbed nothing but air.

"Oh no!" Lily said, covering her mouth as she tried not to laugh.

"It's fine," Hugo said quickly, his voice high-pitched. "Just warming up."

He slid in another token and tried again. This time, the claw grabbed the penguin… only to drop it halfway to the chute.

By the fifth attempt, Hugo was sweating bullets, and his wallet was feeling dangerously light. Collins leaned back against the machine, arms crossed, looking way too entertained.

"Having fun there, champ?" Collins asked.

"This machine is clearly rigged," Hugo muttered, glaring at the claw like it had personally insulted him.

On his seventh attempt, Hugo finally managed to grab a red fox plushie and drop it into the chute.

He snatched it up like it was a trophy and turned to Lily, holding it out with a triumphant grin. "For you."

Lily's face lit up as she took the plushie. "Thank you, Hugo! It's so cute!"

For a moment, Hugo forgot all his previous failures. The way Lily hugged the plushie and smiled at him made everything worth it.

'Take that, Collins. I might've struggled, but I still won.'

Every pro out there knew that plushies were the way to end Arcade dates. And now he had aced it!

As they left the claw machine, Collins nudged Hugo. "Alright, hero, what's the next move? You've got your fox victory. What now?"

Hugo hesitated, his mind racing. He checked his system interface, the timer blinking ominously at him. 'Five hours left. This is it. It's now or never.'

He cleared his throat, glancing at the girls. "How about we grab some drinks on the way back to the dorms? We could hang out and play some games there."

Tily tilted her head, curious. "Games?"

"Yeah," Hugo said, trying to sound casual, though his heart was hammering. "Like Truth or Dare or something. It'll be fun!"

His mind was already spinning with possibilities. 'Dirty Truth or Dare. That's the move. Genius, Hugo, genius.'

Lily's eyes sparkled. "That sounds fun. I'm in."

Collins shot Hugo a knowing look, his smirk practically screaming, 'I see what you're doing.' Hugo ignored him, focusing on the girls' enthusiastic agreement.

As they walked out of the arcade toward a nearby store for drinks, Hugo opened his system interface one last time, the mission countdown glaring at him like a challenge.

Everything depends on tonight. No screw-ups, no delays. 'It's now or never, Hugo. Time to make history.'

And with that, he straightened his back, determined to finish the night as the ultimate winner.
