Chapter 509: Chapter 503: Strengthening Power

This was a vast abandoned city, and the figures “wandering” along the broad streets reminded Finn Lewis of the movie Resident Evil from Floral Village. This scene was all too familiar, wasn’t it? Apart from not being as desolate as in Resident Evil, everything else was pretty much the same.

Your location is in Turner City of the North Federation, and the cause of this world’s apocalypse was an invasion by an alien species.” Zero’s voice held no emotion, but his words sent a cold shiver down Finn’s spine.

“Icarus Insect Species, a purely biologically aggressive race, with strict hierarchical system. Apart from the higher insects which have intelligence, the lower insects strictly obey them. They are bloodthirsty, extravagant killers, existing purely for the expansion of their own populations.” Zero introduced Finn to his opponent.

After listening to Zero’s introduction, Finn couldn’t help but think of another movie, Starship Troopers. Just tell him, was this enemy they threw him into the ring with supposed to kill him?

“However, you don’t have to worry, this world has not been massively invaded by the insect warrior species. Ninety-nine percent of the insects in this world are just one kind, infection bugs.” Zero seemed to be comforting Finn, but was this really comforting? Finn could not help but retort.

“The infection bugs are one of the basic types of the Icarus Insect Species. They can infect and inhabit any other creatures, ultimately settling in the brain of the host, replacing its central nervous system, and controlling the creature. They have almost no intelligence, but they will attack all uninfected creatures they see. Their sense of smell is extremely sensitive, and they can easily distinguish whether a creature has been infected. In addition, they can communicate with each other through a special method, but the range is limited to less than 500 meters.” Zero rarely gave Finn a detailed explanation.
