Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 248 Space Usage

While waiting for the glass-slices to cool off a bit, Eisen started working on something else so that he could finish the items for the glasses and monocles that he would be making.

He unsummoned glory hole and replaced it with a regular forge that he could work metal with, before throwing a regular Mythril ingot into it. It was easy to make mana flow through to activate the actual enchantment, while being quite light and sturdy, so it was a pretty good choice for something small.

Once it heated up enough, Eisen grabbed it out of there with some tongs and then began to hammer it into the shape of wires with different thicknesses for different parts of the glasses.

And then, while letting those parts cool off, he replaced the forge with a glory hole again to continue working on some glass items and then looked over at the four standing next to him. "Go grab the lenses and place them down on that piece of cloth over there, please," Eisen asked them, and Alnico and Stahl quickly did as asked, while Eisen started on another batch of new glass which he mixed with a particular material. Before, he made the death-prevention potion out of Kinzo roots, and after that, he continued removing water and boiling things away from that potion as much as possible until he could turn it into a pure powder.

That powder was then mixed with the silica, soda ash, and limestone and then turned into glass. Eisen wasn’t sure if this would work, and if this would give off a bad smell or taste, but he at least wanted to try, because if he could make glass that helped with preservation, then it would be the perfect material for jars meant for preserving and pickling.

And the Kinzo roots turned the glass just slightly darker, as Eisen quickly noticed, but otherwise it seemed to be pretty much completely normal. The old man picked up some of the glass with the pipe and brought it over to the Marver, where he swiftly began to twist and elongate the glass while blowing into the tube to blow the bubble up, all the whilst Eisen was pressing the glass into a somewhat cuboid shape, although with all the edges heavily rounded to allow for some excellent storage. He gave the end a bit more of a thinner rounding to it while keeping the top completely flat, just so that the opening later wouldn’t be the same size as the actual jar’s circumference to avoid spilling.

And then, he called one of the others back to him to hold the pipe for a while again while Eisen carefully cut off the end of the jar and placed it into the annealer so that he could use it as a lid later on, before also cutting the actual Jar off the pipe and carefully carrying it over to the annealer as well.

"Alright, now back to the grind." Eisen said and stretched a bit to properly get into the ’work’ mood so that he could continue on and on to make more of these jars. And he did until he used up all parts of the current batch of glass that he prepared, which prompted him to move onto the next few items. Bottles for the Mead that Eisen had made a good while ago that was still aging inside of the carriage even now. There was an empty room on this ship that Eisen wanted to use for a little project that he would get into in a little while related to that.

A little while ago, one of Melissa’s skills ranked up again, letting Eisen choose a new type of Bee for her to create, and he wanted a ’Production Bee’, of course with Melissa’s consent, which would be able to create more high-quality honey at a faster pace. So Eisen had to use this chance to start getting into ’Farming’ Honey, right? And for that, he not only needed bottles for the mead he would be making out of that honey, but some proper jars for the honey itself which would also be sold at some point.

But for now, Eisen tried mixing the glass with both the crystal structure from the actual ’capsules’ containing the honey as well as the honey crystals that could be found at the center of some hives. Of course, since Eisen currently didn’t have many of the latter, he just added a little bit of them into the whole batch, although he used as much of the ’capsule’ crystals as he wanted, which seemed to give the glass just a slight hint of that honey-golden color. He actually made a pretty large batch of glass this time, because he wanted to use the bottles and jars he was about to make, or rather their creation-process itself, in order to Rank up his Glassblowing Skill to 2, which Eisen figured was enough to get at least started on the Core Guardian’s glass-parts that seemed to make up a large part of its head.

And after continuing to create the hexagonal bottles and jars for another few hours, Eisen finally managed to Rank his skill up, gaining the ability to use mana in the creation of glass items now.

"Alright, finally," Eisen said to himself as he looked at the corner and saw all the different glass items either stacked up onto each other or laying next to each other before the old man began to smile and looked at the time.

"It’s getting a little late now, so lets all head to bed, alright?" Eisen suggested and unsummoned the three ’furnaces’ that he made in this room, while Stahl, Alnico, Komer, and Kiron nodded their heads.

"Today was super interesting, though! You made a lot of pretty cool stuff!" Al exclaimed, and Eisen just replied with a smile as the small group made their way out of the room.

"Thank you, and I hope you four can help me with everything else tomorrow then? Such as pouring the mead from where they are now into the bottles." Eisen asked and stepped up the stairs to the main deck, while everyone swiftly agreed to help out again happily.

"Then head to the sleeping area now, I’ll be up in the meeting room to check up on Fafnir and the other originals, and afterward I’ll head to bed myself." The old man told them before he turned around and headed up the stairs to the top floor, looking around at the vast ocean around him as he did so, lightly smiling as he enjoyed the fresh air of the sea, and then stepped into the meeting hall in a bright mood.

Fafnir was still sleeping on top of the Dungeon Gate that he created, so he figured that the others were still inside, and as such Eisen opened the door up and was immediately met with a pretty intriguing sight. First of all, a pretty large, bulked-up Wolf running around as he was trying to catch up to Brody.

Then, there was Xenia as she was using magic to excavate a larger area and turn the main-room into a far bigger space, while Brody used the dirt-ground as a base to plant some different plants such as grass or flowers around, and Evalia was working on something like an artistic archway out of a little bit of wood to invite others to step further into the Dungeon.

"Huh..." The old man muttered to himself as he looked around some more and then stepped up to Jyuuk, who was currently the one closest to him. "So, what are you all doing?" The old man inquired before Jyuuk brightly smiled as he looked at Eisen.

"We’re trying to upgrade parts of the dungeon! We thought it would be pretty cool to have a large, peaceful starting area where, if we make this accessible to the public, people can, for example, search for others to join their party, or we can set up some stalls in here and sell potions and stuff like that." Jyuuk explained before he lightly frowned and chuckled.

"Seriously? I mean, yeah, that’s a pretty good idea. Who came up with it?" He asked, already somewhat capable of finding the answer considering that nobody here was that business-minded to think of something like that right off the bat.

"Well, when I was outside a few hours ago, I ran into Komer, and-"

"Figured, no need to say any more than that. So you want to turn this into a grassy-plateau?" Eisen asked curiously and took another look around, while Jyuuk immediately nodded and Eisen continued, "Hmm, maybe it would be a good idea to build some proper buildings in here. Like a small village with places like weapon or armorsmiths, alchemists for potions as you said, and other things like that. But either way, I now understand what you, Xenia and Evalia are doing, just somewhat figuring out ways to make the area here look better... But what is Brody doing?"

Surprised, Jyuuk turned around and looked at the Demon-Orc halfling continue to play around, brawl, and run from the massive wolf. "Oh, Brody and I were trying to figure out ways to make even stronger wolves. For example, we started with the feral wolf and continued to train him for speed and then for strength. It grew in size quite a bit, and it should be pretty interesting now. But that’s a ’Rare’ type according to the menu, so it’s not going to appear that often in the dungeon no matter what we do. It’s going to be more of a ’pack’ leader or something." He answered, and Eisen curiously smiled as he crossed his arms.

"Interesting. And in just a few hours? That’s a pretty fast pace, isn’t it?"

"For sure it is, but that only worked because of a combination between my element and Brody’s energies. With my element, ’Circle of Life,’ I can somewhat ’Super boost’ my monsters for a short amount of time, as well as resurrect them immediately as long as I do it within a few seconds, right? I somewhat used the same principle. I managed to super-boost these dungeon monsters, and because of their general nature, their adaptivity grew immensely as well. And then, Brody used his Yin-Energy to manipulate their mana-flow somehow and increase the growth of specific muscle regions. And then, that happened." Jyuuk explained as he pointed at the massive wolf that was at least two to three times larger than the wolves that appeared at the beginning, and Eisen nodded his head.

"I see... Let’s buy some other beast-like monsters and try to do the same thing with them at some point." Eisen suggested before Jyuuk immediately smirked. "That’s the plan so far, yeah! We were already thinking about what kind of monsters we should buy. We thought about a ’Theme’ for the first floor, or maybe even the first few floors, and that’s ’Forest.’ So basically, we wanted to think about turning the dungeon area itself into something similar to just a forest, maybe with some areas that seem like some sort of ancient ruins or something like that. You’ll have to ask Evalia design-wise, she’s the one that came up with the idea." With a smile, the Monkey-Beastperson turned back to the ground and continued trying to spread the grass and flowers around, while Eisen made his way over to Evalia to ask her about it, just as Jyuuk suggested.

He walked up behind the young artist and took a look at the wood she was carving into at the moment while she was humming some tunes, and soon enough Evalia noticed Eisen and turned around. "Well, hello there!" She exclaimed, and Eisen returned the swift greeting and then began to talk to Evalia some more about the ideas that the old man had.
