Sol Vestitor: New Age of God

Chapter 155: Neutral City

Chapter 155: Neutral City

"Atlas?! There will be a war?" Hilda and her group were shocked by the revelation.

From their story, they appear closer to the gate of the underworld than Sol and his group but they did not know where to go and end up crossing paths with Sol.

"What are you planning now? Are you going to stop Atlas?" She asked him.

"No way, that's crazy! There is no way we can stop him, we would be killed if we fight someone on the level of a major God," he told her.

"Then what? We tell the god of the underworld about it and let him stop Atlas?" she asked again.

"No, if we do that then my friends would be killed with everyone else, it would not prevent war but make it come sooner," he shook his head.

"I'm planning to stop the war by opening the gate of the underworld, that way Atlas doesn't have any reason to wage a war," he told her.

"You know where the gate of the underworld is?" Hilda's teammates cut in as they have been walking aimlessly all this time.

"We are not sure but there is a high chance that the gate is there," Sol pulled out his map and pointed at the Styx river source.

Everyone was silent for a few seconds before Sol asked her, "I'm going there, what about you? What are you going to do?".

She looked at her group for confirmation before she replied to him, "We would like to go with you, it's better that we help each other before the war starts."

"Alright, Let's move together," Sol agreed as it would be better to have more people that could fight even though he didn't want to travel with the fire demigod outside the cave.

They moved together toward the gate of the underworld for another week before they needed to visit another city to buy ration and stuff.

Sol doesn't want to visit any city yet but it would be better that they visit one soon as the next city would be more dangerous.

Moreover, according to Hilda and her group, the city they are going to visit was a neutral city, the dead and creatures were living together in peace, the city lord also did not choose any faction.

"Can you tell me more about the city?" Sol asked Hilda as they were about to reach the city's gate.

"We stopped by this city before, other than not being a human, people are not much different than humans, it is quite a prosperous city as it welcomes anyone," she told him.

"How about their city lord, I never hear about a city lord that doesn't take sides," he looked at her.

"The city lord is unique, he was both the dead and a creature, moreover, he is not a major demigod," she told him.

"Huh? Not a major demigod?" he asked her in doubt.

"He is a lesser God!" she told him with the expectation that he will be shocked and he indeed was shocked.

Sol knew that the closer they got to the gate of the underworld then the stronger people would be but he didn't expect to meet a God soon.

Before Sol could ask more, Hilda already started explaining, "If you are wondering who he is, then I can say you must be familiar with his name, He is called Anubis."

"Anubis? Like the Egyptian God?" Sol finally understood when she said he was both the dead and the creature.

Anubis was described as a human with a jackal head, it would not be strange if he was a creature.

"Should we be wary of him?" Sol asked her with hesitation.

"I don't think so, we stayed there for a week before but we did not see him even once, we only knew about him from what people were saying," She tried to reassure him.

"How about people in the city? Are they normal? Will they turn into a mindless creature when they smell blood?" He asked her just in case.

"I don't think so, bloodhounds are prohibited to enter the city since they would create trouble for other people," She told him what she knew.

Knowing there was nothing dangerous in the city, Sol and the others went into the city, but even then Sol was on high alert in case something bad happens.

The last city he visited did not help his paranoia since the number of major and minor demigods in the city was several times more than the last city.

Out of his expectation, the people in the city were very welcome, it was like they had gotten back to the mortal realm.

"Seeing the underworld being so peaceful is too strange," Tea commented beside him.

"Yes, it is," Sol agreed, if he was not afraid of provoking people, then he would have conjured ice mist to check the whole city for any danger.

"Sol, let's stay in this city for two days, we can't directly go to the gate of the underworld afterward," Hilda suggested as she guided them to an inn that she had stayed in before.

In this city, the inn was normal, it was not an arena or black market as it was making money, the creatures were coming and going from the city every day.

"Fine, we will stay for two days but no more," he reluctantly agreed, he did not want to stay too long but if that means they could prepare for a long journey without stopping then he would be fired with it.

Everyone was resting in their room when Sol went out to scout the city for danger and any other thing.

He tried to blend it with people that were shopping and doing their job, it felt strange for him but his best to fit in.

He found out that he was in the outer city and to get into the inner city he would need to be a minor demigod or stronger as lesser demigods were not allowed in.

"So that's why the concentration of higher rank demigods in this city gather in one area," Sol thought to himself.

With nothing else to know, he decided to get back to the inn but when he almost reached the inn, he could smell something good coming from a stall.

He could feel his stomach growling from the smell so he decided to buy the food they sell, luckily the city was accepting any type of money.

"Excuse me, I would like to buy one portion of fried meat," Sol ordered, then went to an open area then conjured a chair and table for him to wait.

He had seen how everyone else acts in the city and he came to know that outdoor stalls don't need to prepare a table and chair as the customer could just conjure their own table and chair.

When demi-titan was visiting the shop keeper would conjure it for the but would dispose of it once the creature leaves as people like to create their own seat.

It did not take long for the food to be cooked and being served on his table, Sol was about to eat when a young man arrived at the stall and ordered food before looking around only to look at him.

The young man came closer to Sol with a smile, "Hi there! Can my handsome self sit here?" he asked at Sol.

Sol nodded at him then he conjured another chair for the young man to sit on as courtesy, but to his surprise, the young man laughed.

"Hahaha, you don't need to be so happy with me eating with you, I know that it is an honor to eat with someone like me but you don't need to be that happy," he said as he conjured his own seat.

Sol was baffled by the man's shamelessness and self-confidence but he found them somewhat familiar and annoying at the same time.

"By the way, what are you doing here? Are you just visiting?" the young man asked him.

"Yeah, I'm on a journey home, I had something I need to do that sent me away from home," Sol said, "How about you? Are you from this city?" he asked.

"I don't live here, The handsome me just looking for some fun before some troublesome fellow comes and takes my time," he replied.

Sol's smile could not help but spasm from the man's word, "Fuck! I'm so unlucky to meet such a man, there should be a limit on one's shamelessness!" he lamented.

They soon finished their food and about to say goodbye when the young man asked, "By the way, I don't know your name yet, what is your name?"

"You can just call me Sol, that's how everyone calls me," Sol replied.

"That's a nice name, anyway, since you insist on knowing my name, you can call me Hades," the young man told him as if he was being generous.

"Fuck! I didn't even ask for it!" Sol cursed in his heart.
