After the unexpected situation occurred, everyone took some time to calm themselves down.

Though Ariel was helping others to calm down, she herself was scared that something bad would happen again in her life. And she kept on praying to her grandmother to protect her and everyone else from the eyes of the celestials.

Damien was noticing how Ariel was scared even though she looked okay on the outside. So he walked and stood next to her. He caringly tucked her hair behind her ear and whispered, "I will have your back if someone decides to show up again."

Ariel wasn't sure if Damien would be able to do anything if the celestials seriously decided to attack her. However, she felt a little relieved thinking that she wouldn't be fighting alone if it came down to that.

After a while, they finally decided to head towards the town.

Because of the incident, Kenneth asked only two of the guards to stay behind and he asked the others to walk with them. If not anything, he asked them to be vigilant at all times and immediately inform either him, Ariel, or Damien if they saw someone suspicious.

Some of the guards walked ahead of the Royals while some walked behind them as they entered the gate of Murkymber Town.

The town looked deserted from the gate. There weren't many houses or shops there.

However, as they all kept on walking further deeper into the town, they finally started to see the hustling and bustling of people.

The houses also began becoming denser and denser. Most of the houses were two-storied buildings that had slate walls and roofs. On the ground floor, almost all of the houses had shops.

As they walked, Kenneth was showing the most famous shops and was explaining what they were famous for.

They all checked out some of the famous shops that sold accessories, clothing items, coffee and tea, chocolates, souvenirs, and many more.

They bought a few items that they liked. They ate some food that the local shops had to offer. And they roamed around some more.

Damien bought a poncho each for Ramon, Niylah, and Zach as he had promised. He also wanted to buy something for Ariel. But he didn't find anything that he liked. So he let it be for now.

All the while, Zach was clinging onto Ariel like a scared little baby. He felt the safest with Ariel so he wasn't letting go of her hand at all.

Without Zach's playfulness, the walk around the town became a little dull. Also, everyone was on high alert at all times, so they really weren't able to enjoy their time that much.

When they almost reached the end of Murkymber Town, they all came across an interesting shop. That shop had weird-looking costumes and props.

"What is this place?" Damien caught up with Kenneth and asked.

Kenneth looked at that shop and answered, "I think it offers clothes on hire for the street performers."

"What's street performers?" Damien curiously asked.

And Kenneth replied, "They mostly perform dramas on the street. They sing, act, make people laugh and cry… things like that."

Damien nodded and then looked inside the shop again. And he asked, "Do you think they will sell something if I want to buy it?"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Kenneth proudly smiled and said, "They will sell it if I ask them to. You want something?"

Damien scoffed at that boastful man and then walked inside that shop. He had his eyes on something that he found interesting. And he wanted to try it on.

The others also entered the shop after Damien.

"Whoa! These fangs look so real." Zach picked up a fake denture and then curiously stared at it.

Ramon and Niylah were looking at a robe that had a fake head of a wolf attached to it. They had horrified looks on their faces.

And the shopkeeper came to them and said while laughing, "That isn't a real head. You don't have to be so afraid."

The twins smiled at the shopkeeper. But after she walked away, Niylah sadly caressed that head as if that was a real dead wolf.

Kenneth was now trying to run away from Zach since the boy was demanding to see his real fangs so that he could compare the real and the fake.

Ariel was busy keeping an eye on everyone. "Where did Damien go, by the way?" she looked around but didn't find him.

When she was starting to get worried, he suddenly jumped in front of everyone and said while pointing at his head, "This is the best I could do. Look."

Everyone kept on staring at Damien with a puzzled look on their faces.

Damien was wearing a wooden headband that had a pair of red horns stuck on it. The paint on the horns was bright red and the horns looked very unappealing. And no matter how he hated putting it on, he still showed it to everyone because he had 'lost' the race.

"Bwahahaha…" Zach suddenly burst into laughter. He clapped his hands and kept on laughing.

The others also soon joined Zach and started laughing out loud as if they were all suddenly out of their daze.

Ariel held her stomach and mumbled while giggling, "Damien… Why the hell do those fake horns look so good on you?"

Ramon then added to what Ariel had said, "You should definitely buy it and… hahaha… and wear it whenever you transform."

Niylah chuckled and whispered, "His enemies will run away just by looking at those 'scary' horns."

Kenneth was trying his best not to laugh at Damien. However, he ended up chuckling after hearing Niylah say that those horns were scary. And he also teased Damien, "Yes, they are right. It suits you. I will ask the lady here to pack those for you."

Damien could feel his cheeks and ears getting hotter. He furrowed his brows and took that fake horn off his head. And he said to everyone, "Oh, come on! Don't tease me."

Damien poked Zach, who was still laughing hysterically, with his pointed shoe and said, "I was just fulfilling the silly bet this brat put by himself."

Zach suddenly gave a flying kiss to Damien. He snatched the headband from Damien's hand and put it back on him. And he merrily said, "I'm glad that I was alive to see this version of you. I will imprint this image in my mind and remember it forever."

Damien rolled his eyes at Zach and pretended to be angry. But he was glad that he could bring smiles to their faces.
