Rise of the Great Emperor

Chapter 90: Planning

Chapter 90: Planning

Wang Jun talked with Wenren Yu for a bit before they all sat down to eat. Lin Yun didn’t manage to stop his brother in time so half of the fish were a bit burnt. Wenren Yu had already gotten used to it while Wang Jun simply didn’t care.

"Are we going to stay here from now?" Lin Xiao asked curiously. He didn’t really mind either way since he was feeling comfortable in this place.

"No."

"Then...."

"We’ll need to wait until the lake is returned to normal before heading to the city. However, I’m not going to let you enter the city directly," Wang Jun replied unhurriedly.

"What’s your plan, Elder Wang?"

"You’ll train until you reach Body Training Rank 9 or if possible, Body Training Rank 10 before you enter the city."

Hearing the plan, Lin Xiao was taken aback. He didn’t expect that it would take so much time for him just to enter the city. "Why?"

"While Taiyi Sect is a powerful sect, the smaller sects are not that much worse. Many of their leader are already half Golden Core Stage while their elders are at Foundation Establishment. If you’re not at least Body Training Rank 9 or 10, you wouldn’t stand a chance against their elders who might be roaming around."

The cultivation stage after Body Training was Foundation Establishment. For Foundation Establishment, there was only two ranks, which was Early Foundation Establishment and Foundation Establishment. However, the difference was usually not apparent, so people only called them as Foundation Establishment.

After Foundation Establishment, they would be reaching Half Golden Core Stage or if they were talented enough, they could directly jump to Golden Core Stage.

Taiyi Sect Head back then had already reached Golden Core Stage while most other smaller sects nearby were only at Half Golden Core Stage. It was precisely because of this difference that these sects could never threaten Taiyi Sect position in this area.

However, Taiyi Sect was not the only sect in Sun Kingdom. There were several other sects that were more powerful than Taiyi Sect. They might have played a hand in the downfall of Taiyi Sect.

"Which forest?"

"I’ll decide later."

"Fine."

Lin Yun tilted his head. "How can we make the lake return back to normal? It’s been nearly a year since the lake rise to this point."

Wang Jun pointed to Lin Xiao. "You can control the lake, you know."

"...Sorry?"

"I’m saying that you can control the lake." Wang Jun felt utterly helpless. He could guess that Lin Xiao somehow had relation with one of the previous emperors even though he was not sure whether it was him being their children, grandchildren, cousins, or whatever.

However, Lin Xiao was never groomed in the palace, which made him lacking in terms of knowledge regarding Emperor Inheritance and what those inheritors could do. Every Emperor represent something and as Lake Emperor, Lin Xiao was capable of controlling the lake.

Or at least, he was supposed to be.

Lin Xiao was stunned as he looked at Wang Jun in disbelief. "That... how?"

"Touch your mark and communicate with your beast. He should be able to tell you how," Wang Jun replied. He himself was not sure how, but he knew that every Emperor had dragons inside their mark, so that dragon should be able to help.

Lin Xiao did as Wang Jun said and touched his mark. As his Qi was initiated, he could hear voice within his head.

"Oh, you finally figure out how to use the mark."

"Bastard, why didn’t you tell me anything for the past few months?"

Lin Hu rolled his body, acting all pitiful. "But I’m too weak and can’t get out freely."

"Scram!"

"Tsk, I’m bound to your soul, so I can’t leave you. If you die, I’ll die too but it didn’t seem that you’re going to die soon, so...."

"Tell me how to control the lake."

"Huh?"

"DON’T YOU KNOW THAT I’M TRAPPED IN THIS PLACE FOR A LONG TIME? DON’T TELL ME THAT YOU CAN’T SEE WHAT HAPPENED WHEN YOU’RE INSIDE?"

"Oh, I’m the one who did it. Do you want it to return back to normal?"

"Yes."

"Got it."

Lin Xiao was doubtful when he saw Lin Hu’s relaxed expression. He felt that there was something wrong, but he couldn’t pinpoint what it was. "Wait, that’s all?"

"Yes?"

"I only need to ask you to retract the water back?"

Lin Hu rolled his eyes. "Of course not. I’m only maintaining the size of the lake so that you can stay safe here. After all, every time new inheritor was born, they’re usually very weak and required protection."

Well, Lin Xiao couldn’t refute that. He was clearly still very weak especially if he were to compare himself with so many others.

The fight with that woman representative, Luo Mingyue, was also a big slap to his face that showed how weak he was.

"It’s already enough. I won’t be able to get stronger if I stay still and trapped in this place," Lin Xiao said helplessly.

Lin Hu nodded. "Don’t worry, Master."

After settling that, Lin Xiao retracted his hand and looked at Wang Jun. "It’s done. The water should subside soon."

Wang Jun nodded in approval. "Since it’ll surely take a few more days, I want you to show your skill first. You’re learning Mountain Punch, right?"

It was then Lin Xiao recalled that as an elder, Wang Jun would surely be able to teach him better. His eyes lit up.

"YES!"
