Reincarnated as a Dog with System

Chapter 69 - Go And Get Them!

Chapter 69 - Go And Get Them!

The two trucks moved along the road and on their way, they came across different places that seemed to be sites of inhumane massacres. People's flesh and bones were strewn everywhere while bloodstains and body parts were splattered in the surroundings.

"Oh my god! What the hell?" Alex covered her mouth and nose with her hand, unable to bear the pungent smell that tainted the area.

Alex, Lu Chen, and Guan Ye were sitting at the front of the truck while Qin Hua and her clone carrying Su Yan, along with Xu Meilin were at the back. It was an open truck so everyone could look outside.

As they continued driving looking at the gory sight outside, Guan Ye turned the truck around the corner and onto the next street. Unexpectedly, this street had a giant, gaping black hole in the middle.

As soon as he saw it, Lu Chen immediately shouted. "No stop! Let's turn around."

Zombie horde was something that they could manage, but Lu Chen had no idea how they would fare against a goblin horde.

What was that damned black hole? Where were these creatures coming from? He was not sure if they were prepared enough to face this.

However, just as they were backing out, suddenly three more goblins popped out and as soon as they did, they instantly turned towards their truck, catching the presence of the group.

"Too late, stop! Now! We need to fight them." Guan Ye nodded as he also solemnly looked at the thin sickly pale green creatures.

With their truck stopping, the truck behind them came to a standstill as well. Everyone curiously peered out to check what was happening.

Lu Chen and Guan Ye clutched their daggers and jumped out of the truck.

The goblins were running towards them at full speed. The mere sight of them made Alex scared, and she gulped nervously. But she got down as well, clutching her dagger and walking behind Lu Chen and Guan Ye.

Keeeee! Keeee! The goblins shrieked in a language that was not understandable and stabbed their daggers towards the approaching human beings.

Guan Ye instantly disappeared and when his figure reappeared, he was behind one of the three goblins who were currently trying to gang up on Lu Chen.

Lu Chen slashed at the goblin, holding his dagger with his right hand, trying to hold it off, while with his other hand he materialized an ice spear that impaled the creature.

The goblin was fast and even managed to get a couple of hits in.

But Lu Chen's body was already enhanced and with the loincloth shirt that he was wearing, the damage became extremely negligible causing the goblin's attack to barely scratch his skin.

The other goblin, being the shrewd creature that it was, saw that the third person, Alex, standing behind these two was actually the weakest and also looked to be more frightened than the others.

So it directly jumped, side-stepping Lu Chen, and ran towards her. Alex tried her best to be brave, waving her dagger in front of her.

She had fought valiantly when facing the mana zombies and had been quite confident, but now facing against this green creature for the first time, she suddenly felt her knees turning weak.

The goblins were also pretty resilient.

Unlike the zombies, it was not possible to one-shot them by slashing their throats and killing them instantly, so Guan Ye and Lu Chen were still handling their own goblins and were, unfortunately, unable to run and come to Alex's aid.

The goblin had realized this as well and grinned in arrogance. It jutted its dagger out, aiming for Alex's heart, her weak vital point. She was completely caught off guard and didn't even attempt to dodge the attack.

Her eyes reddened, and her lips whimpered. She closed her eyes, accepting her death, but before the dagger could touch her… another shout also echoed, along with hers.

When she opened her eyes again, she saw a dog viciously biting and mauling the goblin as if it was its chew toy.

Alex fell back trembling from head to toe. She had almost died! "Fuck…"

She saw Qin Hua finishing off the goblin in an instant, even faster than Guan Ye and Lu Chen who had just now finished their respective targets.

So strong! So powerful! This was a majestic beast!

She couldn't help but feel an aura of power and strength from the dog, with the drops of black blood on its white crop top.

[Woof! Are you alright?] Qin Hua cocked her head to the side and growled which only made Alex scoot back a bit more. [You are still afraid of me?]

Shaking her head and drizzling drops of blood everywhere, she went back to the goblin's corpse and started looting it.

Unfortunately, there wasn't any pouch this time around, but she took the core, absorbing it swiftly.

She took the dagger and looking away she also took the loincloth which was the only item of clothing the goblin was wearing.

Lu Chen and Guan Ye both were observing her actions and as realization dawned on them, their eyes suddenly widened.

This was the shirt they were wearing? Fuckkkkkkk!

But they were not fools, they had clearly seen the effectiveness of the makeshift shirt so with bitter smiles they continued to repeat the dog's actions, and robbed their dead corpses.

They as well took both the dagger and the loincloth…

They kicked the corpses aside and looked around to see if there were any other goblins but the street now seemed to be deserted.

Perhaps if they waited, more would come out of the black gate. "Should we wait here and grind some more mana cores?"

Just as they were discussing, Luo Zu and Qiang jumped out of the truck.

"You guys finished the fight too fast and you also took the mana cores? This is not fair! We didn't even get a chance to come out." Luo Zu grunted in displeasure. He looked as if he was really disappointed with the situation.

However, before he could even finish his sentence another loud shrieking sound echoed and three more goblins stepped out of the gate.

"There, there is your chance. Go and get them!" Lu Chen smirked and crossed his arms.
