Chapter 20: The Shock of the Hokage

When ninjas of the same level fight, those with a kekkei genkai usually have a significant advantage!

And the Sharingan is undoubtedly one of the top kekkei genkai in the ninja world!

Looking at Uchiha Akira standing before him, with three shadow clones and the two-tomoe Sharingan, Uchiha Shisui's eyes flickered with a complex emotion.

"Shisui-sensei?"

After spending ten years in the simulator, Akira had finally mastered Shisui's Body Flicker Technique. Shisui's shock was understandable. But judging by his expression, Shisui seemed to be contemplating something more than just surprise, which made Akira look at him curiously.

"Akira, you've only been a Genin for just over two months, right?" Shisui suddenly asked, snapping out of his thoughts.

"Yes, that's correct," Uchiha Akira nodded.

"In just over two months, you've already reached the level of a Chunin, and you've even mastered my unique secret technique. With such talent, it's hard to estimate how far you could go in the future!" Shisui sighed in admiration.

Uchiha Akira remained silent, sensing that Shisui had something important to discuss with him. Otherwise, he wouldn't have focused so much on Akira's abilities.

"With your current overall strength, you're already one of the top contenders at the Chunin level. Would you be interested in becoming a Chunin?" Shisui asked, looking directly at Akira.

"Here it comes..." Akira thought to himself.

Thanks to the life simulator, Akira knew that the Chunin Exam in the Village Hidden in the Clouds would take place in two months. It seemed that mastering the Body Flicker Technique in just half a month had made Shisui consider recommending him for the exam.

"If the opportunity arises, I would definitely be interested!" Akira nodded in agreement.

There was no reason to refuse. After all, becoming a Chunin meant being able to take on more challenging missions, even solo ones. To earn money, he needed to become a Chunin as soon as possible.

Seeing Akira agree, Shisui then explained the situation regarding the Chunin Exam in the Village Hidden in the Clouds.

Generally, when a major nation organizes a Chunin Exam, the primary purpose is to provide a relatively peaceful means of competition.

In the Chunin Exam, the more outstanding the participating ninjas from a village are, the more influence that village will have in the future.

It's a microcosm of the competition between villages.

Naturally, the Genin sent to participate in the Chunin Exam are the best from each village. Originally, Uchiha Akira's strength was decent, just on the cusp of the Chunin level. With the aid of his Sharingan, he would have been a strong contender among the Chunin.

However, representing the Hidden Leaf Village in the Chunin Exam was still a bit beyond his reach.

But now, after mastering Shisui's secret technique in just half a month, Shisui felt that Akira could represent the Hidden Leaf Village in the exam.

After receiving a definite answer from Akira, Shisui instructed him to wait at home and then turned to leave.

At the Hokage's office, Shisui came before the Third Hokage.

"Shisui, what did you say? You want Uchiha Akira to represent the village in the Chunin Exam in the Village Hidden in the Clouds?" Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at Shisui in surprise, seeking

confirmation.

"Yes, Lord Third Hokage," Shisui nodded affirmatively.

"I know that Uchiha Akira is a genius of the Uchiha clan, and he has already evolved his Sharingan to the two-tomoe state. But he's only six years old, and he's only been a ninja for a short time. You understand the importance of this Chunin Exam..." Hiruzen Sarutobi hesitated, finding it hard to believe.

"Lord Hokage, have the three slots for the Village Hidden in the Clouds been decided?" Shisui asked without wasting any words.

"Yes, just yesterday, we finalized the three Genin who will be going to the Village Hidden in the Clouds," Hiruzen Sarutobi nodded.

Although the relationship between the upper echelons of the Hidden Leaf Village and the Uchiha clan had been growing increasingly tense, Sarutobi still held Uchiha Shisui, the descendant of his old friend Uchiha Kagami, in special regard.

Seeing Shisui's insistence on sending Uchiha Akira, Sarutobi, after a moment of silence, said, "In that case, let Uchiha Akira choose one of them to challenge. If he wins, he can represent the Hidden Leaf Village in the Chunin Exam."

Despite finding it unbelievable, Sarutobi trusted Shisui's judgment and felt it was only fair to give Akira a chance.

"I accept that condition," Shisui nodded in agreement.

Then, Hiruzen Sarutobi pulled out three ninja profiles and placed them before Shisui.

After taking a glance, Shisui turned and headed back to discuss the matter with Uchiha Akira.
