Chapter 191: Who Are You?
Chapter 191: Who Are You?
Yao Ran chuckled and took everything into her space.
"It's better to be prepared." She said teasingly.
Hearing what she said, Long Yu's face turned red, and his ears hidden under his jacket hoodie became even redder.
After confirming that there were no more prisoners, Yao Ran wrote a note and stuck it to the double doors. Long Yu raised an eyebrow when he read the note but said nothing.
Before leaving, Yao Ran and Long Yu returned to the warehouse. Yao Ran stood in the middle of the empty floor and took out half of the supplies she had collected from here-except for the weapons and explosives found underground.
Looking at the now full warehouse, she smiled at Long Yu and said, "Let's go."
Twenty minutes after they left, soldiers broke into the Luxi Community. One of the soldiers saw a note stuck on the door, quickly took it, and brought it to his captain.
The soldier handed the note to his captain and said, "Captain, look what I found."
Wu Lian read the note and frowned.
[There is a gift for you in the warehouse.]
After a moment of silence, he said, "Send a few men to check the warehouse."
"Yes, Sir." The soldier saluted and hurriedly went to carry out the order.
Wu Lian looked at the note and muttered, "Who are you?"
While the soldiers were busy cleaning up the Luxi Community and moving the supplies, Long Yu and Yao Ran returned to the Ling Yuan apartment building.
Seeing them coming back from a distance, Huang Zhihui's worry finally disappeared. She hurriedly went home and said, "They're back!"
Hearing this, Shi Xuan and the others breathed a sigh of relief.
Returning to Building 3, Yao Ran and Long Yu didn't go directly to the 20th floor but instead visited the Sima family. Standing outside the door, Long Yu knocked.
Before long, Sima Yun opened the door. Seeing Long Yu and Yao Ran, his eyes reddened.
He smiled at them and said, "Thank you for saving my elder brother and sister-in-law."
Hearing this, Long Yu and Yao Ran knew that both sima Hao and Ruan Ying had returned safely.
Yao Ran remembered that when they had found Sima Hao and Ruan Ying, both were covered in blood. They must have been injured, so she asked, "How are they?"
Sima Yun replied, "My elder brother only has some bruises, and my sister-in-law is fine." Yao Ran thought for a second and said, "Let me check on them. I'm worried they might have internal injuries."
Sima Yun's eyes lit up when he heard this. His family had been worried about his elder brother's wounds, but they didn't want to bother Yao Ran too much. Now that she offered her help, he wouldn't refuse.
Stepping aside, Sima Yun said, "Miss Yao, Brother Long, please come in."
Just as Sima Yun closed the door, the rest of the family came out. When his parents and grandparents saw that they had guests, they smiled and asked, "A Yun, who are they?"
Sima Yun smiled and said, "Grandpa, this is Brother Long and Miss Yao."
When his grandfather heard that the guests were Long Yu and Yao Ran, he and the others hurried over to them and enthusiastically held their hands.
With tears in his eyes, Grandpa Sima said, "Thank you, thank you for saving A Hao and his wife."
Yao Ran felt uncomfortable with their warm welcome and hid behind Long Yu.
Although she got along with them on a daily basis, she didn't like getting too close to strangers. Whenever strangers touched her or got too close, it reminded her of the nightmares she had experienced in the laboratory.
Noticing Yao Ran's discomfort, Long Yu said, "Grandpa, we came so Ran Ran could check Brother Sima's wounds."
Hearing this, the family was very grateful and quickly led the way.
Sitting on a chair beside the bed, Yao Ran checked Sima Hao and Ruan Ying's injuries. Seeing that he only had some bruises and Ruan Ying only had a few scratches, Yao Ran looked at the worried family.
"Neither of them has any internal injuries."
When the Sima family heard this, they finally felt relieved.
Yao Ran turned to Sima Yun and said, "The bruises on your elder brother's body need to be treated with hot compresses and massaged with safflower oil to reduce the swelling and break the blood clot."
Sima Yun nodded and said, "Alright."
After instructing Sima Yun on how to massage the bruises, Yao Ran left with Long Yu.
Returning to the 20th floor, they saw Shi Xuan and the others waiting for them.
Seeing that the two were uninjured, everyone smiled and said, "Welcome back."
Yao Ran replied, "We're back."
Jia Xiang smiled, "You two must be tired. You should go rest first. We might have a hard battle later."
Hearing this, Long Yu asked, "What do you mean?"
"Lu Hong and his people didn't come last night. I guess they are going to make their move today." Shi Xuan answered.
Yao Ran frowned and asked, "Did they find out about the soldiers hiding among the survivors?"
Shi Xuan shook his head and replied, "I don't think they know. Lu Hong and his people were too quiet last night. If they'd discovered the soldiers, they would have made some noise."
After hearing this, Long Yu and Yao Ran exchanged glances. They were silent for a moment before Yao Ran said, "Could it be they're waiting for reinforcements from the Crouching Tiger
Gang?"
Long Yu pondered on her words and said, "We can't be sure, but you might be right."
"Then what should we do? If we don't deal with them now, it'll be harder to kill them whenNôv(el)B\\jnn
the soldiers take action." Huang Qian said, frowning.
As they were thinking of a solution, the metal door blocking the stairs suddenly opened. Quan Yuanwei appeared and said grimly, "Lu Hong finally came out."
As soon as he spoke, Long Yu and the others hurried to the windows at the end of the corridor.
