Han Li and his gang walked into the city, just one among the thousands of faces. Even though their gang appeared rather extraordinary, even among the rest of them, at one glance, they appeared to be the weakest gang to take advantage of. But sadly for the fine big brothers who were looking around for great sisters to lust after, everyone had a bubble protecting them. They could do nothing but watch as they went by them, and for unknown reasons, they couldn't even feel lust looking at the gang. Every single person currently entering the city through the gateways spread across the Great Wall was an extraordinary talent, and the city was awash in a feeling of elitism and exclusivity. All of them looked at each other with a sort of pride brimming in themselves. They were in the air! And by now, many of them had learned where they were—inside the Empty Space of the legendary Sacred Demon!

Other than the few Power Born who were extremely experienced old monsters, the others couldn't help but have their noses go a bit higher. They would certainly look at people in the real world in a different way from now on, and many of them would find out that it was their downfall. As for Han Li himself?

He walked in through the gateway, his red pupils moving around as his Life Vision scanned the people he knew or didn't. Some of them interested him, while some made him curious. On the other hand, some even made him pause with a rather thoughtful frown.

As they finally entered the city through the crowd, they finally took deep breaths. The city was huge, and the buildings around were far greater in architecture than the seven continents. Huge temples stood here and there, their roofs all facing the heavens like spears, while ordinary apartment buildings made of mudstone stood tall all around. Just at a glance, it was clear that they were all old and unused, but the newly entered people started to storm into the buildings in search of treasures. Han Li didn't bother with that since he knew there was nothing here that was magical in essence, just old furniture and such things.

Yue Li and Wei Yuanfen were still rather frightened after feeling Yang Wei's cold and calloused aura slicing through them, so they were still a bit pale, but Yue Li was relatively better compared to the latter. She had a Heart of Cultivation and a rather solid outlook on life, after all, no matter how naive that might be. She could even be said to have seen deaths with her own eyes now, and she even had Han Li just beside her, so she wasn't too shaken. Han Li's disciple, however, was extremely shaken, and her face was utterly pale. But nothing too deep as the bubble even protected her Heart from damage, or else, she would have had to go through the same thing Yue Li had in the past.

"Xiao Li," Yue Li called out, her voice soft but audible to her son. "We also saw that kid in the forest before we found Little Ruo, right? You smiled at him then; what's up with him?"

Han Li looked at his mom. With one hand, she was holding on to little Ruo, while with the other hand, she was holding on to his hand. The girl was small enough to allow that, and Yue Li herself was quite strong physically.

"His name is Yang Wei. If you had to say Monk Hen Shin is a good person, Yang Wei is the exact opposite. He wouldn't blink when killing infants, and he certainly wouldn't hesitate to break the moral code. He is a Demon through and through."

Yue Li took a deep breath. "Then why didn't you two fight if you were enemies?" They did meet in the forest, where fighting and deciding their final winner was such a simple matter that they could decide then and there. Then why did he and Yang Wei just laugh at each other and run away in different directions?

Han Li laughed softly. "Of course, he and I both knew we would fight soon enough, and the winner would be decided. But there are hundreds of other geniuses here: he wanted me to kill the others since he believed I was superior to most here; he wanted me to get as many benefits as I could. "As for me? I wanted him to do the same so that when we fight, I can have everything that is his. That is why I told you you have to love such enemies; they are very predictable compared to the erratic revenge seekers and such."

A bit rattled, Yue Li walked behind him, biting her lip gently. They were literally seeing each other as pigs for slaughter, making them as fat as possible before doing the deed. Her hold around her son's hand tightened.

Earlier, seeing all those extraordinary Evolved men and women, some who even tried to flirt with her, she always felt a bit contemptuous when comparing them to her own son. She had sensed the Aura he released after he had his Heart Qi becoming stronger. It felt extremely overpowering. But now that she felt the icy killing intent in Yang Wei, she finally realized how strong his enemies were, too. She felt scared thinking about how her son would have to fight such people.

'I have to get something to trade so I can be helpful… so dangerous…' She bit her lip gently.

Meanwhile, Wei Yuanfen grew calmer and listened from the side in awe and admiration. 'So this is how great figures of the cities are, how great. I also want to make enemies who acknowledge my strength and then laugh at them…'
