My Monster Fuses Everything

Chapter 180 The Nest and the Defense

Facing Su Han, Zhu Junhua had no qualification to refuse, let alone mention that there was another Third Order Monster in the eastern district, which he couldn't withstand at all.

"I understand."

He promised with a heavy tone, Su Han didn't care about his emotions at the moment.

Entrusting him with the safety and lives of everyone was not an easy decision, but once the Tree Domain's support arrived, he would know whether the decision was right or wrong.

Their stationing near the spatial rift in the eastern district would also serve as a foreshadowing for Su Han's future actions there, killing two birds with one stone.

Although they agreed to relocate, the gymnasium where they were located was not to be completely abandoned but used as a cultivation base, with fewer people staying behind in the future.

As per the agreement, a team of about a hundred contractors was organized, led by Zhu Junhua, three First Order High Grade Contractors, about twenty First-level Intermediates, and the remaining First Order Inferior warriors.

They would go with Su Han to the pharmaceutical factory first to assess the damage and devise repair methods, in preparation for the relocation.

Additionally, these hundred people had another task: to lead the way.

Su Han wanted to go to Wanji Square to confront the Corpse Demon Worm. Although he knew the likely location, it wasn't exact, and needed some knowledgeable people.

Zhu Junhua was selecting people, and Su Han did not intervene but took the time to visit the restrained insect people.

The insect people's fierce compound eyes stared steadily at Su Han, their mouthparts hissing.

"The great Insect God will not let you go."

They cursed bitterly, but showed no signs of pleading. Stay tuned with empire

Su Han simply moved his hand lightly, and the chains grew spikes, which then moved between the flesh, causing the three Fallen Insectoids to emit painful screams.

He watched calmly, merely asking faintly, "Is your Insect God the Corpse Demon Worm or Zhao Shijie?"

In response to Su Han were colder, more resentful glances, but the thorny chains, no matter how torturous, didn't make them utter a single word.

"Troublesome."

Su Han just noted this, and his eyes chilled, as he couldn't further coerce information from them.

Their logic couldn't betray, or rather, their loyalty to the mother insect exceeded their own lives.

As expected, when Su Han changed tactics, even amputating their limbs, they repeated only a few sentences over and over.

The Insect God will not let you go.

The pain indeed made it hard for their bodies to bear, but their will remained completely unshaken.

The transformation was thorough enough, to compete with the descendants of the Mother Nest Ancient Tree.

"Sir," Zhu Junhua cautiously approached Su Han, "the team for pioneering is ready."

"Then let's prepare to head out."

Su Han waved his hand, and the thorny chains completely strangled the several Fallen Insectoids and their Angels before a large number of Vine Giant Rats arrived in front of the team.

"Get on them, then follow me to the pharmaceutical factory first."

"Yes."

......

The entire team quickly headed towards Baiyu Jing Pharmaceutical Factory. It was the first time for Zhu Junhua and the others to ride the Vine Giant Rats, and their shock was beyond imagination.

Unlike riding horses, the Vine Giant Rats, almost indistinguishable in size from large buffaloes, moved steadily and rapidly as if a charge could solve most opponents.

And the person controlling such a number of monsters was the man before them.

In less than half an hour, everyone arrived near the pharmaceutical factory, the ground littered with monster corpses and blood which made everyone shudder, their gazes instinctively turning towards the man in Black Armor on the back of the Blood-winged Alligator Dragon.

Undoubtedly, before killing those monsters at the gymnasium, a massacre had already taken place here.

Zhu Junhua looked in astonishment at the terrifying crack embedded in the ruined building, "This, this is a spatial rift, the energy here is so rich..."

Su Han got down from the Blood-winged Alligator Dragon and glanced at him, saying, "What else did you think made it so easy for you to advance?"

Certainly, with a population of over a million in South City, many survivors undoubtedly possessed considerable talent.

Zhu Junhua and his group were among them, but even with great talent, advancing to a Second-order Contractor wasn't that simple.

As the apocalypse progressed, the extraspacial realms increasingly neared the real world, coupled with phenomena like the Psychic Tide and spatial rifts, which continuously raised the levels of spiritual energy, allowing more people without injections to speed up their breakthroughs.

However, it wasn't only humans who advanced; the overall strength of some monsters also continuously improved.

Yet, they lacked the Divine Initiation Ritual of humans, and their racial bottleneck was much harder to overcome unless they mutated into special individuals, or their inherent limits were quite high.

"You, you mean the energy comes from this rift?"

Zhu Junhua looked at the rift incredulously. Su Han shook his head, "Only partly, you set up camp first, later I'll have my subordinates send you information about the apocalypse."

Zhu Junhua and his group had merely gathered a large number of survivors, but they had no capacity to form a research team, much less understand more systematically about the apocalypse.

Zhu Junhua chuckled bitterly, always feeling there was a huge gap between the camps, and he tentatively asked, "Your, your camp is official..."

"The official one is in the south of the city, but"

Su Han smiled and said, "It's still lacking a bit. Just follow orders, it's better than fighting alone. Do not act recklessly in the spatial rift, especially in the Psychic Tide's Spiritual Energy Blood Sea. If you do not want to become like those insect people, do not touch it. Regularly clear the monsters that appear from the Spiritual Energy Blood Sea, that is your task."

"Understood."

Zhu Junhua agreed and immediately led people to start investigating the environment around the spatial rift and the pharmaceutical factory.

Part of the boundary wall of the pharmaceutical factory had collapsed, several buildings and offices were damaged to varying extents, and dark bloodstains almost covered every corner of the factory.

However, there were no human or monster corpses to be seen.

After the Corpse Demon Worm uprising and the subsequent assaults by monsters from the rifts in the other dimensions, all the flesh had been devoured clean.

Although the pharmaceutical factory was damaged, it could still accommodate more people compared to the gymnasium.

The defensive measures left by the pharmaceutical factory were still usable.

"Leader, Wanji Square is just ahead."

After a brief investigation of the scene, Zhu Junhua hadn't forgotten his mission, especially after witnessing the cracks from another dimension and the scattered corpses of Corpse Ghosts.

He realized one thing: in such a rapidly changing apocalypse, even though he was now a Second-order Contractor, he still couldn't cope.

Su Han was his only choice, only someone stronger could protect more survivors.

So, he changed his tone.

"Sss sss sss"

As the team approached the street where Wanji Square was located, sounds of rustling came from the mist, and twisted-limbed monsters crawled on the street surface, rapidly attacking the team.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

But quickly, the Alien Thorn Worm had already launched a stab first and killed them.

"There are somewhat fewer bugs here."

There were less than a dozen, and it even included a few Corpse Ghosts, the number of monsters on this street was certainly not right.

"Let's get closer, head to the Wanji Subway Entrance..."

Rumble rumble rumble

As the sound fell, suddenly, the ground started shaking violently, sending a clear sensation of swaying.

"An earthquake?"

Everyone steadied themselves, but Su Han's gaze sharpened as with the tremors, a terrifying roar immediately came through the mist.

"Mount the Blood-winged Tiger."

Su Han immediately instructed, in fact, without waiting for Zhu Junhua and the others to react, the Blood-winged Tiger had already swooped down and taken them into the air.

Unlike slowly scouting, this time they had to rush immediately to the source of the sound.

This roar didn't seem like it came from a Second-grade Monster.

The Blood-winged Alligator Dragon swiftly flew forward, and shortly on the edge of the mist a massive creature appeared before Su Han.

Two hundred meters away, a terrifying behemoth about three to four stories tall and over ten meters wide stood like a mountain on the street.

The roar was like thunder; its eyes bloodshot and its fangs formidable, altogether a super-sized Corpse Ghost.

It swung its massive claws, sweeping across the front, instantly crushing a multitude of insect monsters.

On its side, several tall Corpse Ghosts, each about five to six meters high, were leading a large number of Corpse Ghosts in attacking the insect monsters.

On one side was a dark swarm of insects, on the other a horde of gray-skinned Corpse Ghosts —when the two groups clashed, it was like two overwhelming tidal waves colliding.

The battle was fiercely intense, like a meat grinder scattering the flesh of monsters; either the insect monsters were piercing through the bodies of Corpse Ghosts, or the Corpse Ghosts were biting through the heads of the worm monsters.

At just a glance, there were more than tens of thousands of fighting insect monsters and Corpse Ghosts gathered, the Corpse Ghosts from the other dimensional rifts were just add-ons.

Su Han took advantage of the mist to elevate and conceal their bodies, while the Blood-winged Tiger was closely followed by Zhu Junhua and the others.

The terrifying battle scene greatly impacted their minds.

They didn't need to fully engage; just a part of such monsters taking action would be enough to flatten the gymnasium in a flash.

"Lea-leader, what do we do?"

"Wait for the main character to appear."

Su Han narrowed his eyes, and then the Blood-winged Alligator Dragon immediately moved closer to a nearby building.

He leaped down, while the Blood-winged Alligator Dragon remained in mid-air using Spiritual Energy to linger, as the Blood-winged Tiger landed one by one, with Zhu Junhua and the others waiting by Su Han's side.

Though the rooftop was sturdy, it couldn't bear the weight of the Blood-winged Alligator Dragon; it had to stay like that for now.

"Leader, what are we waiting for?"

Zhu Junhua still didn't quite grasp what riddle Su Han was playing.

But Su Han's gaze remained fixed on the battlefield, the roar from before covered up the sound of the Blood-winged Alligator Dragon flapping its wings.

Their figures wouldn't be noticed by the Giant Rock Ghoul on the battlefield.

"Corpse Demon Worm."

The center of the battle was Wanji Square and that one subway entrance. Although it was unclear whether the Giant Rock Ghoul struck first or the Corpse Demon Worm initiated the attack,

the continuous fierce fighting of the insect monsters, without even a slight tendency to retreat, was enough proof that this battle wouldn't end easily.

At the battlefield, the battle grew fiercer; a large amount of insect monsters were killed by Corpse Ghosts without the participation of higher-order monsters, just the lower ones couldn't stop the advance of the Corpse Ghosts.

Soon, the army of Corpse Ghosts was progressively nearing the subway entrance.

However, just then, Su Han's expression turned stern, his eyes focused, "Here it comes."

The ground suddenly rumbled intensely, the Wanji Square cracked open abruptly, a pitch-black plated giant insect burst out heading directly towards the Giant Rock Ghoul.
