According to Shen Kui, the relic’s entrance was originally open. Was it not, how else could the research team have entered? Naturally, after the astounding findings, Genesis sealed and concealed the entrance.

If Shen Kui had not revealed the island’s exact location, it would be impossible for the Shi Yung Squad to find it amongst the countless islands scattered in the Pacific Ocean.

After such a long time, the iron gate sealing the entrance had gathered rust. Unfortunately, Shen Kui did not know the code to open the gate, so Jiang Liushi had to use the Vulcan to force it open. Merely the recoil generated by the heavy machine gun could dislocate and brake a human’s bones, but to Jiang Liushi it was nothing.

Jiang Liushi poured all of his blue energy into the armor-piercing uranium bullets and then he pulled the Vulcan’s trigger. In turn, the Vulcan spewed one-meter-long tongues of flame like a fierce monster.

Sparkles danced on the iron gate before it was pierced open. At the same time, the iron lock on it was destroyed.

Jiang Liushi stopped shooting, lifted the machine gun and kicked open the gate. In the next instant, the passage behind the gate was visible for everyone.

The passage was pitch black all the way to the relic’s location, resembling more of a path going straight to hell.

Jiang Liushi jumped back on the tour bus, and he shouted, “Ying, drive slowly!”

Without any delay, Ying pressed on a button, and a strong blue light lit up the whole underground passage. The passage was actually one kilometer long. Shen Kui wasn’t privy to that nor did he know how it looked as he had never entered. In fact, amongst Genesis’ Chancellor and 11 Advocates, only a select few of them had the privilege to enter. Those ones had grasped a few secrets about life and death, and they could be considered old monsters. Although they were about 90 years old, they looked like they were in their thirties. Of course, the most powerful one amongst them was the Chancellor.

As they drove along the way, the originally narrow passage became wide all of a sudden. Shortly after, they reached an extremely large underground space.

Jiang Liushi looked up, but even with the strong light brightening up the place, he was unable to see the underground’s ceiling clearly. In other words, this space was about several hundred meters high.

“They hollowed out the whole mountain. It’s obvious that this space is half underground and half located in the mountainside. It’s indeed the relic’s location,” said Jiang Liushi after taking a deep breath.

Truth be told, Jiang Liushi felt a little bit nervous this time as it was unknown whether the Metal Essence was still there.

“Switch to high-beams,” said Jiang Liushi.

Unfortunately, the high-beams light didn’t make much of a difference as the space was too large to be lightened.

“Brother, look! I can see a row of lights over there!” shouted Jiang Zhuying, pointing at the lights’ location.

Jiang Liushi turned around and spotted a row of lights covered in thick dust. Obviously, Genesis had installed them. More than half a century ago, in order to further investigate the relic, it was quite reasonable for Genesis to install strong lights.

Jiang Liushi believed that the lights were unlikely to be working after the passage of such a long period. However, just at that moment, one light after the other started emanating strong rays, illuminating the whole space.

“What?” Jiang Liushi was taken aback. It was beyond his expectations for the lights to still be working, and especially out of the blue.

“Xiyu!” shouted Jiang Liushi.

“Brother Jiang, I’ve been scanning the place with my spiritual sense the whole, but I have not detected anyone,” replied Ran Xiyu.

Hearing that, Jiang Liushi became even more vigilant than before. They still had to find the Metal Essence. After driving for some time, Jiang Liushi spotted a large ball in the center of the underground space. Half of it was buried underground, while the other half was exposed in the air.

Upon closer inspection, the metal ball was not connected to the ground. Instead, it was actually floating in the air! It had surpassed the laws of gravity! On top of the metal ball were a few grooves, amongst which the one in the middle was the most conspicuous one.

Jiang Liushi was at a loss of words due to shock. Soon, he snapped out of his daze and remembered something Ye Yuekong had said to him – the groove in the middle was where the most important Weapon should be located. In other words, Starseed! The surrounding grooves were where the rest of the Weapons were stored!

“Is this the Metal Essence?” asked Jiang Liushi with a frown.

At that moment, Starseed transmitted to him, ‘Ultimate source – Metal Essence has been detected. Should it be absorbed or not?’

In Jiang Liushi’s ears, Starseed’s cold, mechanical voice sounded very pleasing. ‘Can it even be absorbed?’

Jiang Liushi scrutinized the metal ball in front of him, doubting that it was just the Metal Essence. It was too large to be transferred! He estimated that even Genesis had no way to move it. Although it was inconceivable, Jiang Liushi stopped didn’t hesitate at all, and he ordered Starseed to absorb it.

‘Warning! The Metal Essence’s energy is isolated! It cannot be absorbed!’ transmitted Starseed.

‘What?’ Jiang Liushi’s heart sank. He ordered for Starseed to absorb it again, but it sent out the same warning.

‘Why?’ Jiang Liushi racked his brain to find an explanation. Meanwhile, he had an ominous feeling!

At that moment, dazzling light burst out from on top of the metal ball, followed by curtains of light. It was a breathtaking scene.

In the next instant, the whole ball began to vibrate. Then, a low, gloomy voice rang from all directions, piercing straight into Jiang Liushi’s mind.

“You have finally arrived. I have been waiting for you a long time now. I even started to lose my patience!”

“Eh?” The voice startled Jiang Liushi. He finally knew why he had such an ominous feeling. The Chancellor was there! Yes, it’s him!

“You must be Genesis’ Chancellor, right?” Jiang Liushi fixed his eyes to the top of the metal ball. He caught a glimpse of the space there suddenly twisting a bit. The distortion became bigger, and a figure emerged out of it.

The Chancellor had been there the whole time, but the force field his powerful energy generated distorted the surrounding light, obscuring his body shape. No one could see him.

Even Ran Xiyu’s spiritual sense was involuntarily affected by the Chancellor’s force field. That’s the reason she could not sense him at all.

Jiang Liushi ran many scenarios in his mind carefully, and finally, he came to the conclusion that the Chancellor had integrated with one of the Weapons. Thus, the extremely powerful energy he was exuding!
