My Five Beautiful Girlfriends Against the Spirit World

Chapter 77: Helping Bing'er

"Don't get too immersed in the mission that you forgot about your own body which also needs food to function. let's eat first." The boy said in a serious voice.

He turned around and walked towards their eating spot where they usually had their breakfast, which was under the shade of the tree.

Ling'er face brightened as she heard about the food and galloped behind the boy.

The trio all sat beside each other and Yue Yan handed them food and took out three water bottles to share with them.

"Today we will hunt giant bears since you girls desire to fix the hunger issue of the village, it's better we go after these beasts than the blood-devouring rabbits." He told them about the new plan so they could ready themselves for the upcoming adventure.

"But Killing a giant bear will be harder than the blood-devouring rabbit, how will I manage that?" Ling'er questioned after gulping the remnants of peanut buns down her throat.

"Wasn't it your sisters' idea to help the villagers even after we finished the mission?" He asked with a sarcastic tone.

"But... it will be difficult to handle it all alone, the village head said those beasts are four meters in size and I have heard they are way stronger than other beasts of the same rank," Ling'er responded as she was the only attacker in their team and knew she wouldn't able to manage alone.

"I wish I could help," Bing'er mumbled with a helpless sigh.

Yue Yan turned around to look at her and asked in puzzlement, "Why don't you help if you want to support her?"

"I might end up injuring Ling'er if I use my spirit skills," Bing'er said with a saddened voice.

"How will you harm her if she is going to stay inside my guardian shield?" The boy asked, a feeble smile on his face.

"Ah???" Bing'er's expression changed to that of surprise as she realized the meaning behind his words.

"Wait... This might really work..." Ling'er already figured out what Yue Yan wanted to execute.

"Let's finish our breakfast so we can try it out in the forest." Yue Yan said as he dived into his food and stopped talking.

The girls nodded and continued to finish their breakfast, They were both happy as Bing'er was finally going to try to use her spirit in the battle.

After thirty minutes, three figures walked out of the village gate and entered the dense forest.

They continued to travel far away from the periphery of the village as they wanted to avoid others from noticing them.

After summoning the golden Lion, Yue Yan, Ling'er, and Bing'er climbed atop the mount and set off into the heart of the forest.

The sun was shining down from above, casting a warm glow on the dense trees and tangled vines that surrounded them.

The lion's massive paws pounded the earth with each step as it galloped toward the direction Yue Yan commanded it to go. The sound echoed through the forest, sending tiny creatures scurrying for cover.

The wind whipped through the trees, tugging at their hair and clothes as they rode deeper into the forest.

As Yue Yan commanded his mount to take a turn, it rounded a bend, and the sound of rushing water reached their ears.

The golden lion picked up its pace, eager to reach the destination its master directed.

They burst through a wall of trees and into a clearing, the sight before them taking their breath away.

A waterfall cascaded down from a small cliff, the water plunging into a crystal-clear pool below. The sound was deafening, the water misting the air and catching the sunlight in a thousand shimmering rainbows.

The golden lion slowed to a stop, allowing its riders to take in the breathtaking view.

"Wow... It's beautiful."

Girls looked in awe for a moment, they basked in the glow of the rainbow and the sound of the water as the beauty of the waterfall left them speechless.

Yue Yan dismounted and looked around the forest to find the path where he needed to go and recalled the golden lion after the girls climbed down.

They followed the boy as he was taking the lead to go toward his destination.

As the trio continued on their journey, they suddenly heard a loud growl that echoed through the forest.

They turned to see a massive figure looming in the distance, its fur as black as night.

It was a giant bear, easily four meters in height and covered in shaggy fur. Its eyes glinted with malice as it locked its gaze on the trio, and roared in anger.

The giant bear charged at the trio, its mighty paws pounding the ground with each step.

Seeing the danger coming, Yue Yan was quick to react, summoning his guardian shield to protect himself and the Shangguan Sisters.

The bear collided with the shield, its massive body bouncing off the impenetrable barrier.

Yue Yan turned to Bing'er, "Now, use your spirit without any fear."

She felt her heartbeat racing at the thought of using her spirit, she had never practiced with them before in a battle as she was afraid of harming others.

After some contemplation, Bing'er nodded as she stepped forward, extending her hands towards the bear. Her eyes closed in concentration, and suddenly a barrage of shimmering daggers appeared out of nowhere, hovering in the air, outside the bubble.

The bear roared in annoyance, swinging its massive paws in the direction of the daggers. But that was futile as the daggers were far from its massive body.

"Go."

With a flick of Bing'er's wrist, they shot forward, embedding themselves in the bear's fur.

The bear let out a pained roar, thrashing wildly as the daggers exploded one by one. The force of each explosion sent the bear stumbling backward, its fur singed and blackened.

Ling'er seized the opportunity, launching herself forward with her sword at the ready. She dodged past the bear's swiping paws, her Mad Tyrant spirit boosting her speed and agility. She was a blur of motion, her sword a streak of silver as she landed blow after blow on the bear's hide.

Seeing her sister had advanced out of the bubble, Bing'er hurriedly recalled the daggers in fear she would hurt her.

The giant bear staggered, its movements growing sluggish as there were many injuries on its body. Blood was constantly gushing out from the wounds that were increasing in numbers with each passing moment.

"Your spirit only goes out of control when your emotions are unstable. So don't fear, you won't hurt her." Yue Yan tried to pursue  Bing'er as she had recalled her spirit.

"Yes, Bing'er. He is right, Don't worry about harming me. I trust that my sister won't hurt me with her spirit." Ling'er's voice resounded as she wanted to help her beloved sister to use her powers when Yue Yan was convincing her to not fear.

"Come on, Your sister needs your support, and also those poor villagers who you want to aid with your strength. If you can conquer your fear then you will be able to gather more ration for those villagers." Yue Yan pulled the last string to encourage the white-haired beauty.

Those words lowered her hesitation, Bing'er hovered her hands again and summoned the shimmering daggers back that shot towards the injured giant bear one after another.

The giant bear's body started stabbing with multiple daggers, a tormenting expression drowned its face.

Ling'er backed away from the beast as she knew what was going to happen.

Like firecrackers, the daggers started exploding one by one and a painful cry of bear reverberated in the forest.

*Howl!*

With a thudding sound, the giant bear collapsed to the ground as blood gushed out from its body, dying the ground red. The beast took its last breath before closing its eyes to its death.

Bing'er let out a sigh of relief, her hand lowering as the last of the daggers vanished from the corpse of the giant bear.

She turned to Yue Yan, a smile spreading across her adorable face, "Thank you."

"Don't mention it." He responded with a gentle tone.

After that, the trio approached the fallen bear, Girls' minds became lively by their victory against the giant bear.

Ling'er extracted the beast's core from its head, storing it away in her spatial storage, and indicated Yue Yan to take away the giant bear's body in his spatial storage.

With a thought, he store the four-meter large body of the giant bear in his inventory. The trio continued on their journey to find the next target to gather more ration for the village.

They traveled through the forest, the sun shining down on them as they journeyed deeper. The forest was alive with the sounds of tiny creatures, the rustling of leaves, and the call of birds filling the air.

As they traveled, Bing'er's thoughts turned to the battle with the giant bear. She remembered the thrill of summoning her daggers, the way they had flown toward the bear with deadly accuracy.

And she also remembered Yue Yan's aid, how he had protected them with his guardian shield, and how he had convinced her to use her skill. She was feeling grateful towards the boy as he helped her by giving her the confidence to use her spirit.

Bing'er felt a sense of gratitude swelling within her. She was happy to have allies like Yue Yan, who believed in her and supported her which helped the white-haired beauty to contribute to the battle without harming her sister.

And as they trudged towards their next destination, she knew that she was ready to support them in their next battle.
