Chapter 316 Damon Cross Vs. Calvin Oland IV

Damon immediately engaged his guard, wrapping his legs around Calvin's torso and controlling his posture with a strong grip on the back of Calvin's neck.

Calvin postured up slightly, looking to rain down strikes, but Damon's grip made it difficult.

"You're squirmy," Calvin said, grinning as he tried to free himself.

Damon didn't respond, his mind racing. He shifted his hips, testing Calvin's balance while keeping his guard tight.

Calvin threw a couple of short punches to Damon's ribs, more to create openings than to do real damage.

Damon absorbed them, staying calm as he waited for his moment.

Calvin adjusted, leaning forward to press Damon's shoulders against the mat, looking to pass the guard.

Damon used the opportunity to push off Calvin's hips and create a little space.

Damon could see Calvin's face just above him. It was filled with that confident look that Calvin always has.

Calvin looked like he believed he was in full control, like Damon was completely helpless beneath him.

"Man, you're really gonna let me do this, huh?" Calvin said, chuckling as he shifted his weight and threw a short punch.

Damon slipped it easily, his head moving just enough to avoid contact.

"Come on, do something!" Calvin teased, his grin widening as he feinted another strike. "I thought you were the big bad, knocking everyone out. Where's that at now, huh?"

Damon didn't bite. He stayed calm, breathing steadily.

Calvin threw another punch, this one grazing Damon's ribs. "You know, I've been in worse spots than this," he said, almost conversationally. "Fought guys way bigger, way meaner. You're good, though. I'll give you that."

Damon caught Calvin's wrist briefly, deflecting another strike as he adjusted his hips to create more space.

"Man, you really ain't gonna say anything, huh? Just gonna lay there?" Calvin continued, feinting a pass attempt to see if Damon would react.

Damon smirked faintly but didn't respond, his mind racing as he formulated his next move.

"Alright," Calvin said with a mock sigh. "Guess I gotta work for it." He shifted his weight forward, pressing his forearm down against Damon's chest while posturing up slightly, looking to land a bigger strike.

But Damon saw it coming. He tightened his guard, adjusted his grip on Calvin's arm, and prepared to turn the tide.

Calvin might have been confident, but Damon wasn't about to let him stay on top for long.

Calvin, feeling like he had control, suddenly shifted his posture to go for something more decisive.

He leaned in, his forearm pressing harder against Damon's chest.

Then, in one fluid motion, Calvin snaked his other arm under Damon's neck, hooking around Damon's head.

"Gotcha now, kid," Calvin muttered, his voice dripping with confidence as he locked his hands together, forming a triangle-like choke with his arms.

The crowd roared, sensing that Calvin was going for the finish.

Damon's vision blurred slightly as the pressure around his neck increased.

But instead of panicking, Damon's mind went into overdrive.

He'd prepared for situations like this, and his system's simulations flashed through his mind, presenting possibilities.

Damon quickly looped his left arm under Calvin's choking arm, locking onto his opponent's wrist, preventing Calvin from fully tightening the choke.

But that wasn't enough, he needed a way out, and he needed it fast.

With a surge of power, Damon planted his feet on the mat and bucked his hips, forcing Calvin's weight forward.

At the same time, he rotated his body slightly, trapping Calvin's arm in an awkward position between their torsos.

Calvin's eyes widened slightly. "What the–?"

Damon didn't stop there.

In a move no one in the arena had seen before, Damon used his free hand to reach over Calvin's shoulder and grip the back of his own neck, pulling his torso upward.

The motion created an incredible torque that twisted Calvin's arm into an unnatural angle.

The crowd gasped as Damon's body became a fulcrum, forcing Calvin to abandon the choke or risk his arm being severely compromised.

Calvin let go, trying to pull his arm free, but Damon was already two steps ahead.

As Calvin retreated slightly to regain his position, Damon transitioned seamlessly.

He wrapped his legs around Calvin's torso, locking him in a body triangle.

Using the momentum of Calvin's attempt to escape, Damon twisted his own hips, flipping their positions entirely.

"Wow! Did you see that?" James Nix exclaimed from the commentary table. "Damon Cross just pulled off an escape I've never seen before! He turned that choke into a reversal!"

Damien Korvier was equally stunned. "That was incredible! Calvin had him locked up, and Damon not only escaped but now he's in a dominant position!"

Damon now sat on top of Calvin, his weight pressed firmly onto his opponent's chest.

Calvin, for the first time in the fight, looked frustrated.

He tried to push Damon off, but Damon controlled his wrists with ease, pinning them down.

"You talk too much," Damon finally said, his voice calm but firm, as he raised his fist.

Damon's expression turned cold, his focus razor-sharp.

There was no trace of amusement or hesitation in his eyes.

He adjusted his position, planting his weight firmly on Calvin's chest, his grip on Calvin's wrists like iron.

The crowd roared as Damon wasted no time. He unleashed a brutal elbow that connected cleanly with Calvin's forehead, the sound of the impact echoing through the arena.

"Big shot from Damon Cross!" James Nix shouted. "Those elbows are vicious! Oland's in serious trouble!"

Calvin grunted, trying to move his head to avoid the next strike, but Damon was relentless.

He pulled Calvin's arms further apart, creating just enough room to bring down another crushing elbow.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

This one split Calvin's brow, blood beginning to trickle down his face.

"Cross isn't holding back!" Damien Korvier added. "This is the kind of controlled violence that separates contenders from champions!"

Calvin tried to buck his hips and create space, but Damon adjusted his base instantly, maintaining complete control.

He threw another elbow, this one even harder, aiming just above Calvin's temple.

Calvin winced, his hands flailing now as he tried to block the strikes. "Man, you're really mad, huh?" Calvin said through gritted teeth, his tone desperate but still laced with a bit of humor.

Damon didn't respond. He raised another elbow and brought it down with pinpoint precision, hitting the exact same spot he had moments before.

Calvin's head snapped to the side, and his legs kicked against the mat as he tried to twist out of Damon's control.

"Calvin's in real trouble here!" Nix yelled. "Cross is showing no mercy! This is a level of ground-and-pound we haven't seen from him before!"

"Those elbows," Korvier said, his voice filled with awe, "they're landing clean every time. Oland's defense is falling apart!"

Calvin finally managed to pull one of his arms free and tried to push Damon's torso away, but Damon responded instantly.

He shifted his weight, trapping Calvin's arm beneath his chest, and rained down another elbow.

The referee moved closer, carefully watching the action. Calvin was still moving, still defending in some capacity, but the strikes were piling up, and the damage was becoming evident.

Damon, sensing the end could be near, switched tactics slightly.

He feinted an elbow and instead threw a short but devastating hammerfist that landed flush on Calvin's nose.

Blood sprayed, and Calvin's head snapped back.

The crowd was deafening now, fully on their feet, screaming for the finish.

Calvin groaned, his face a mess of blood and sweat.

Damon, still stone-faced, ignored the plea and threw another hammerfist, this one connecting with Calvin's jaw.

The referee finally stepped in, yelling, "That's it! That's it!" and waving his arms to signal the end of the fight.

The crowd erupted into cheers, the sound shaking the arena as Damon stood up, blood splattered across his arms, his chest rising and falling with deep breaths.

He looked down at Calvin briefly before turning away, his expression unchanged.
