Chapter 86: Seeing him again after so long 5

The opening of the door snapped her back to her senses and she looked towards it and saw Liyah coming in and she immediately turned her face away looking at the ceiling.

'Oops, is someone mad at me?' Liyah said as she walked closer to the bed. Liyah put the bag of snacks on the table and turned to Kash.

'Kash, I'm sorry I'm late. I will take it from here'. Liyah looked at August's pouted lips and smiled.

'Okay, see you late then'. Kash said and went out.

Liyah went closer and sat on the bed tickling August as she spoke 'are you sure you want to stay mad at me forever? I came with good news and a lot of goodies though'.

August's eyes flickered a bit after hearing that but she still looked away headstrong and didn't say anything.

'Mmm, what is that smell? Is that not from the goodies I brought? Aye, poor old me, I had to roam a lot of malls to get the most precious goodies but a certain someone doesn't even want to look at my face'. Liyah said 'Is a pity. No one recognises my efforts at all. Poor old me'.

August looked at the bag of snacks subtly. The smell of the snacks was indeed taking over her wolf nose. Liyah smiled and knew it was working.

'Aye, I even had to stand in a queue to get the most precious ginseng cup noodles. The sun is no joke outside; I feel so tanned after queuing for more than an hour only to finally bring them all by myself and someone is mad at me. Aye, why is my life so pitiful?'.

August turned and glared at her and hissed 'that's enough, I can't even get mad at you'.

August stared at the bag and asked nonchalantly 'is there really ginseng cup noodles in that bag?'.

'Off course, I always deliver on my promises. Didn't I promise you that I will bring you ginseng cup noodles today? Is there, you can have a look if you don't believe me'. Liyah said and smirked.

August got down from the bed and rummaged through the bag and removed the cup noodles. The smile on her face broadened as she turned and hugged Liyah saying 'big sis, you're the best'. Liyah patted her back and smiled.

Indeed, making this little chap happy was much easier than she even thought. A cup of ginseng drove out all the unhappiness in her at once. Liyah stood up and took the cup of noodles from August saying 'sit, I will make it for you quick'.

'Mm' August nodded and went to sit on the bed. Liyah poured some water into the heated and turned the switch on.

August watched her every step and her eyes glimmered as she saw the ring and screamed 'big sis, big sis, big sis, what is that on your hand? Is that a ring?' August asked as she looked as if her eyes were going to pop out of their sockets.

Liyah went back to sit with her and left the water to boil. Liyah raised her ring finger and asked 'what do you think August Maijune, is pretty, right?' August nodded her head. 'Leo gave it to me last night. He proposed to me, August. I am going to get married to him at last'.

'That is wonderful. Leo Martins is a good man. I can entrust you to him without worries'. Liyah looked at August Maijune and chuckled. Who was entrusting who to whom here? Why did she feel that she was the younger one and August the elder one now? Liyah shook her head.

'Oh, I get it now. I finally get it now. That is why you're very late today. Tell me, did you two spend the night together?'

Liyah's silence gave August the answer she wanted 'you did!! You really shared a passionate night together'.

August Maijune clapped her hands thrice and gave Liyah a thumps up adding 'Big sis, I respect you. Just one night and he gave the ring away just like that? I have nothing but admiration for you. I respect you. In fact, I should learn from you and apply it to myself in the future. Is rather unfortunate I have no one to share a passionate night with'. August said pitifully and Liyah was rendered speechless.

'You Aaron Saint will be very sad when he hears this from you. He is in God knows where working himself to dead and you don't even think about him' Liyah said and stood up.

The water started boiling and Liyah got up and turned the switched off. she opened the cup noodles and removed two raw eggs from the fridge in the ward.

In making cup noodles, one needed to be careful and not take too much time least it loses its flavour and essence. So, Liyah broke the eggs into the cup noodles first and then added the seasonings to it. She carefully lifted the flask containing the hot water and poured it into the noodles bit by bit so that the water wouldn't overtake the noodles. When she was sure the water was enough, Liyah put the flask down and gently stirred the noodles and covered it to allow the seasoning and eggs to simmer well into the noodles.

'Wow, even your way of making cup noodles is different. I can't wait to eat it, I'm sure is going to be delicious'. August said as she snapped the chop sticks together.

Liyah opened the noodles and it was ready. She handed it over to August saying 'is hot, be careful'. August nodded and took the cup of noodles and started to dig in.

'Don't you dare mention this to Aaron Saint. He will kill me if he finds out I'm feeding you noodles'. Liyah warned August.

'This is between the two of us. Besides, he is the one who left and is still not back. If he cares so much about what I eat, then, shouldn't he come back and check up on me? Big sis, don't you find his behaviour strange? He knows I can't remember anything about him. Shouldn't he at least be around me so that I will get to know him? He just ran away like a coward' August complained as she ate the noodles.

Liyah looked at August and a thought came to her mind. Could it be that August Maijune somewhat missed Aaron Saint? If not, why would August be talking about him? Liyah took her phone and dialled Aaron's number as she asked August.

'Why are you suddenly taking about Aaron Saint? Could it be that you missed him?' Aaron answered the phone and heard their voices and kept quiet listening. Liyah looked at the phone and saw that he had answered and put the phone on loudspeaker.

'I missed him? Is that what it seems?' August replied unsurely 'whatever, I don't care. He can stay wherever he is as long as he wants for all I care'. August said as she ate.

'August, I'm just saying, if, mm if you happened to see him, how would you feel? Would you be happy if Aaron Saint just walked in right now?'

August paused and thought for a while before saying 'how would I feel if he happened to walk into this room? I don't know how I will feel but I think I might be less worried? I have this weird feeling that he is a loner with few friends. I justyou know don't want him to hide from me because I can't remember him' August said as she ate the noodles.

'So, that means you're worried about him, right? You hope that wherever he is, he will be okay. Isn't it?' Liyah probed further.

'Is that what it seems like? Maybe I am worried about him. Everyone keeps talking about how amazing he is; I am curious about him too. I want to see just how amazing he is. He is handsome and just my type of man too. Now that I think about it, he is quite the scene stealer. Was I like this in the past?' August asked.

'Like what? I don't understand'. Liyah said.

'I mean was I someone who like handsome guys? You know, I think I might just like his face and well the way heyou know his whole body looks edible'. August said.

'You are really August Maijune. No doubt about it. Hearing you describing Aaron Saint in such a lustful way just confirms and goes without saying that, you are indeed back'. Liyah opened a snack wrapper and sat on the bed.

'Why? Was I such a frivolous person?' August asked.

'Not just a frivolous person. You are also a lustful girl who was extremely crazy and protective of Aaron Saint. You practically told everyone that he was yours'.

'Really? Why don't I remember that? August said and sighed deeply. She shook her head and focused on her noodles.
