Level Up: Voidwalker

Chapter 248 Just A Little Training

Atlas left the room where Amethyst and Grishna were sleeping. Thanks to his senses, he knew the others were sleeping except Nulia, sitting on one of the balconies, so he headed there.

Five minutes later, he appeared next to the brown-skinned beauty who yelped; Atlas smiled before asking in a concerned voice, ''What's wrong with you?''

Her blue eyes avoided his as she looked out across the Otherworld, ''I feel bad for hurting you and can't forgive myself.''

Atlas shook his head while wrapping an arm around Nulia and pulling her closer. He reassured the young woman, ''I'm fine now apart from the scars, but no one is bothered about them as I can be healed. I got a new arm that is even stronger than my original.''

Nulia nodded with a small smile and asked quietly, ''Do you truly forgive me?''

Without warning, Atlas grabbed her soft cheeks and turned her head in his direction before kissing the Frostbear woman. She went stiff but quickly returned it before the two separated, and he asked, ''Want to help me clear more of the Void Realm?''

The young woman nodded with a smile, ''That would be good,'' she said.

They sat down as she held his hand while Atlas activated the skill, causing them to appear in the grasslands of level five. He smiled before speaking, ''Use your magic; your other form will be useless here.''

''Okay, I will watch your back, husband,'' she replied cheerfully before readying her ice magic.

A piercing screech pierced the sky, prompting Atlas to react swiftly, summoning Void Arrows and Bullets into the air. Explosions erupted as the projectiles struck their targets, sending Bloodhawks spiraling down to the ground.

Meanwhile, Nulia joined the fray, her hands weaving intricate patterns as she conjured a flurry of Ice Lances. The sharp shards shot through the air, piercing the ranks of monsters and scattering them.

The two of them continued fighting with the Bloodhawks until the Haast Eagles appeared, but thanks to Void Lance, it destroyed the newcomers with ease. Nulia started using Earth Blasts whenever the creatures got close.

Atlas was getting excited as hundreds of monsters fell to their combined attacks, allowing him to check the new total.

[Haast's Void Eagle - 456/5000]

The couple stood back to back, their eyes locked on the skies as waves of Bloodhawks and Haast Eagles surged toward them. That's when Atlas unleashed a barrage of Void Arrows, each exploding on impact and sending the birds crashing to the ground.

At the same time, Nulia raised her hands, summoning a swirling vortex of frost. Ice Lances shot forth, piercing through the wings of the Haast Eagles and sending them spiraling downwards, their cries drowned out by the chaos.

Together, they were casting spells in perfect timing. The air crackled with energy as their combined efforts created a deadly magic storm. He noticed the monster's confidence grew with each wave that fell, fueling their assault against the relentless tide of creatures.

Atlas continued spamming magic to use it up so it would expand while using Void Guard to deflect the swooping birds. They fought for a few more hours until Nulia was sent flying as a Haast Eagle hit her from behind.

He managed to kill the monster with Void Blasts, but the Bloodhawks swarmed him like angry bees. Atlas returned to the real world, where the Frostbear woman awaited him as he slumped on the chair when feeling the mana drain.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

A bright smile appeared on her beautiful face as she spoke, ''That was enjoyable; we should do it more as the storm will trap us here for a few days.''

''Sounds good to me,'' he replied while hugging the young woman.

After their fierce battle, Nulia headed off to enjoy a soothing bath while Atlas focused on improving the Otherworld. He summoned new monsters to inhabit the realm, each expressing gratitude as they appeared,

Hours passed as he poured his mana into the task, meticulously crafting the landscape and residents. Eventually, exhaustion overtook him, and he collapsed, unconscious from the strain of his magic.

Meanwhile, Estelle and Amethyst engaged in a spirited fight in the training grounds below against Grishna and Artemis. Nulia watched from the sidelines, her keen eyes tracking the movements of her friends as they honed their skills.

Atlas came to with a banging headache, causing him to teleport to the ground below while speaking to the blonde, ''Can you heal me, please? My head hurts like crazy.''

Estelle's blue eyes narrowed as she halted her sparring with Artemis, concern etching her beautiful face. She approached Atlas, kneeling beside him, ''What have you done now, my love?'' she asked, her voice a mix of worry and tenderness.

He chuckled, shaking his head. ''I'm fine, Estelle. Just a little training.''

But she wasn't convinced. ''No, you're not! Look at you!'' she said, pointing to the beads of sweat forming on his brow. ''You need to take a break. Come on, let's sit down for a moment.''

Before he could protest, she grabbed his hand and led him to a nearby bench, where she insisted he sit. ''You can't train if you're exhausted,'' she said, her tone both severe and affectionate.

While Estelle was doing this, Artemis teased with a big smile, ''Oh look at the mother hen; whenever Atlas is mentioned, she looks like a worried wife.''

Everyone laughed, including Atlas, but she turned to the brunette while pointing, ''Shut it! I don't see you complaining about my worrying when you've injured yourself, Fish.''

Artemis huffed, which made the other women laugh even more as the blonde cast Healing Light on Atlas. The exhaustion vanished, and he felt fresh, causing him to sigh. ''Thank you, Estelle,'' he said in a relieved voice.

With an adorable smile, the blonde tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear, her cheeks softly flushed. In her gentle French accent, she replied, ''It's alright, Atlas. I'm here to care for you, and that's exactly what I will do.''

Estelle's gaze softened, and she added warmly, ''After all, we're a couple, aren't we?''

Her words were so genuine and sweet that Atlas couldn't help but smile back, feeling his heart melt a little more. After that, she leaned over and kissed his cheek softly, which surprised him.

Atlas's hand instinctively shot up to his scar, his fingers brushing over the rough skin as a flicker of discomfort crossed his face. Noticing his reaction, Estelle gently placed her hand over his, her touch warm and reassuring.

''Don't worry about it,'' she murmured, her eyes filled with determination. ''Either I'll heal it myself, or I'll find someone who can.''

Following that, she jumped up with a smile before getting back to fighting the others. Atlas stood up and walked into the surrounding jungle. He approached the Scalebreaker nest but stopped by Tyson's cave first.

When Atlas got close to the mountain, everything went quiet, causing him to grin as he knew what would happen. He stepped closer to the mouth of the cave as two baby Allosaruses ambushed him from a nearby bush.

One of them darted in low, ramming its head into the back of his legs and knocking him clean off his feet. He hit the ground with a hard thud, momentarily dazed. Before he could recover, the second one leaped onto him.

The monster playfully nibbled at any bit of exposed skin, its rough hide brushing against him as it squirmed in excitement. Atlas chuckled despite himself, swatting at the creature as he tried to push it away, but its relentless playfulness made it hard to regain his footing.

He started laughing while pushing the babies off him, and Tyson appeared from the cave and let out a deep growl. Atlas glanced up and replied to the creature, ''Oh, shut up. I'm just saying hello to the children. Why is your wife the reasonable one? Especially when I give you such a life.''

No sooner had the words left his mouth than the female Allosaurus bounded out of the cave, her massive form moving with surprising grace. She lowered her head and gave Atlas a gentle but insistent nudge, her warm, scaly snout pressing against his chest.

He staggered back, laughing as he steadied himself, reaching up to pat the enormous creature affectionately. She let out a deep, rumbling sound that could almost be described as a purr, her golden eyes fixed on him with unmistakable fondness.

''Hello Carla, has this barbarian been treating you well?'' the female monster nudged him again before looking at Tyson with narrowed eyes.

Atlas chuckled while speaking, ''I see; well, let me show him how things are done.''

Following that, he approached the giant Allosaurus, who was already backing off, causing Atlas to grin, ''Oh, where are you going, Tyson? Didn't I see that you and your children will be the best?''

Before the monster could react, Atlas was already on top of it and smacked it while scolding Tyson, ''Don't bully your wives! I'm spending mana on strengthening them, and you're here acting like a boss.''
