Let's Train Heroine

Chapter 271 Heroine's Love Fighting 4

Lucan knew he couldn't keep up with Bing in close quarters. The exchange of blows had left him reeling, even with Maris's magic helping him endure the damage. The frost clung to his clothes and skin, each breath feeling heavier than the last as the cold gnawed at his endurance. It was time to change tactics.

In a fluid motion, he stepped back, raising his hand and channeling the warmth of his light magic. A golden glow began to pulse from his fingers, and with a swift movement, Lucan summoned a beam of concentrated light. The beam shot toward Bing, cutting through the icy air like a searing lance.

The moment it touched her frozen armor, steam erupted from the point of impact, the ice sizzling and melting away in seconds.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Bing recoiled, hissing as the heat made her icy scales shimmer and crack. But she wasn't defenseless. She quickly raised her arm, a layer of thick ice forming in an instant, blocking the beam of light before it could do more damage.

Lucan didn't wait for her to counter. With a flick of his other hand, he summoned his water magic, controlling the flow of the water that had pooled from the melted ice. The water danced in midair before surging forward, sharp and precise, aiming at Bing's exposed joints. It struck her leg, the water freezing almost instantly, but the impact forced her to stumble, buying Lucan precious moments.

Bing roared in frustration, her icy breath forming clouds of frost in the air. She swung her clawed hand, sending shards of ice flying toward Lucan. He dove to the side, the ice shattering against the ground where he'd stood. Without missing a beat, he rose to his feet, summoning another beam of light, this one wider and hotter than before.

The golden light clashed with Bing's ice once again, melting through the barrier she had hastily thrown up. But before Lucan could follow through, Bing unfurled her wings and took to the air. With one powerful beat, she ascended above him, her massive form casting a shadow over the battlefield.

From above, Bing summoned a blizzard of ice and snow, the air around Lucan rapidly filling with deadly shards. He barely managed to raise a shield of light in time, the frozen storm bouncing harmlessly off the glowing barrier. But even as he held it, he knew he couldn't stay on the defensive forever.

He needed to find a way to weaken her further. Lucan's eyes darted around, analyzing his surroundings. The streets were frozen wastelands now, but the melted water from his earlier attacks gave him an idea. His magic allowed him to control the flow of water, and he could use that to his advantage.

Lucan grinned as he sent another blast of heat toward Bing, forcing her to dodge. As the ice around him continued to melt, Lucan used his water magic to gather it, forming it into a dozen sharp spears. With a flick of his wrist, he launched them all at once. The water froze quickly as it left his control, but the momentum was enough to strike Bing before she could react.

The spears hit her wing, legs, and arms, throwing off her balance and forcing her back to the ground with a heavy thud.

Bing's icy wings twitched, her rage palpable. "You think water will stop me, human?" she growled, her breath freezing the air around her. "I am ice itself. Your tricks won't save you."

But Lucan wasn't finished. As Bing advanced, her towering half-dragon form casting a long shadow across the battlefield, Lucan summoned more heat, concentrating it into a beam of searing light that sliced through the air toward her. The light hit its mark, melting the ice on her shoulder and exposing the vulnerable flesh beneath.

Bing roared in pain, but this time, she didn't slow down. With a burst of speed, she charged at Lucan, her eyes glowing with fury. He barely had time to raise his defenses before she was on him, delivering a crushing, ice-infused punch to his chest. The force of the blow sent Lucan flying through the air, crashing through a frozen building.

Ice and stone crumbled around him as he hit the ground hard, the impact knocking the wind from his lungs.

For a moment, everything was silent. The frost that clung to his body was unbearable, creeping into his muscles and bones, numbing him to the core. His vision blurred, and he could feel the cold squeezing the life out of him. Bing's laugh echoed through the frozen wasteland, her victory seemingly assured.

"Pathetic," she spat, her voice dripping with contempt. "You never stood a chance, human."

Lucan struggled to move, his body heavy with frost.

But then...

Warmth began to spread through his body, melting the frost that had taken hold of him. His vision cleared, and he could feel his mana surging back, stronger than before. The deep cold that had wrapped around him loosened its grip, and suddenly, Lucan felt light as a feather. His strength returned in a rush, every muscle in his body reinvigorated as if he had never been struck.

He never expected Maris could heal him repeatedly. It's good, with this he could kill Bing without using Evil Magic.

The frost disappeared from his skin, his mana pool replenishing in an instant. Lucan's lips curled into a smirk as he slowly pushed himself up from the rubble.

Bing, watching from a distance, narrowed her eyes. She could sense it—Lucan wasn't just recovering on his own. Someone was helping him, and it wasn't any ordinary spell or artifact. This was something more. Bing growled, her gaze darting around, searching for the source, but she couldn't pinpoint it.

"How are you still standing?" Bing snarled, her voice laced with frustration.

Lucan didn't answer immediately. He dusted off the remaining ice from his cloak and straightened.

"Looks like I'm not as easy to kill as you thought," Lucan said, his voice steady, eyes locked onto hers. "Now, let's finish this."

Bing's wings flared out, her claws digging into the ice beneath her as she prepared for another assault.
