Chapter 369: Chapter 146: Spiritual Energy Vision! The Black Lotus Faction Leader!_1
“Has Hong Zhenxiang already left? Still, just to be safe, it’s best to change locations.”
A man clothed in gray headed towards the city gate, contemplating silently to himself.
He had just unexpectedly discovered Hong Zhenxiang, prompting him to alert the other Barbarian Martial Artists to call off their plans! Leaving Baorui County City, they would go elsewhere!
“Hmph… Hong Zhenxiang? No matter how powerful you are, you can’t be in two places at once. This clan battle will be the end of you, falling beneath the blades of our warriors!”
The man in gray sneered to himself.
Hong Zhenxiang, the warrior from the Ferocious Wolf Clan, was undoubtedly loathed by them. More than a decade ago, in a battle that made his name, Hong Zhenxiang single-handedly slew thousands of their warriors. Now, with the clan battle looming, there were plenty of great warriors prepared to take Hong Zhenxiang’s head for the sake of honor and glory!
As the man in gray pondered, a suddenly unsettling feeling washed over him, as if he’d been targeted by a terrifying ferocious beast.
Instinctively, the man in gray looked up towards the city walls and towers, and he caught a glimpse of a fleeting cold glint!
This arrow was as forceful as thunderbolts and as swift as a gust of wind, yet oddly, it did not make a sound. It was the Wind Thunder Silent from the Wind Thunder Archery!
“Boom!”
The man in gray only had time to sense something was terribly wrong before his body could react. Amidst the tearing sound, the descending arrow penetrated his chest at an angle, blasting a hole the size of a bowl through him. Flesh flew in all directions and his body was almost bisected, while the arrow’s force pinned him ruthlessly to the ground, making the earth tremble violently!
The nearby pedestrians, most of whom hadn’t even realized what had happened, watched in silence as Su Changkong’s arrow struck its target, not revealing its devastating power until the moment of impact.
“Was that Barbarian Martial Artist shot dead by Mr. Su? How did Mr. Su recognize him?”
Di Hen, who witnessed this scene, was not only amazed by Su Changkong’s superb archery but also puzzled.
The man in gray shot by Su Changkong looked no different from an ordinary person. There wasn’t a single flaw in his appearance, and yet Su Changkong, without asking a single question, had taken him down with one shot. How did he confirm the man was a Barbarian Martial Artist with disguised identity and tracks?
The two men had been together all this time, and Su Changkong hadn’t even conducted an investigation!
“Chi Tu… was shot dead? It must have been Hong Zhenxiang! But how did he discover Chi Tu’s identity?”
But the most shocked were the other Barbarian Martial Artists in hiding. Originally planning to leave the city in groups, they saw from a distance that the man in gray near the gate, Chi Tu, had been killed instantly by an arrow from the city tower!
This left them baffled as to how the other party had identified him. Could it be that Chi Tu had been marked during a recent encounter?
It has to be said that these Barbarian Martial Artists had excellent composure; even after witnessing the man in gray being shot dead, not a single one acted rashly. Instead, their faces showed just the right amount of shock and panic.
Perhaps the adversary had only discovered the man in gray’s identity; any overreaction on their part would likely give themselves away!
“The second one!”
What those disguised among the commoners failed to realize, however, was that in Su Changkong’s perception, they stood out like fireflies in the dark, no matter how well they hid. The flow of Spiritual Energy around them was something they couldn’t conceal.
“Whoosh!”
Su Changkong, nocking another arrow to his bow, unleashed it at speeds multiple times that of sound. The arrow roared through the air like thunder, its speed so fast it surpassed the limits of what ordinary people could react to.
Su Changkong aimed at a man dressed like a wealthy merchant in green clothes.
“Not good!”
The man in green, being on alert due to the death of the man in gray, felt his hairs stand on end as he saw Su Changkong’s arrow flying towards him from atop the city wall, realizing his identity had been exposed.
“Roar!”
With no time to dodge, the man in green let out a deep roar. Qi-Blood Wolf Smoke billowed above his head, revealing himself as a Martial Artist almost reaching the realm of the Qi-Blood Long Dragon. He mustered all of his Qi-Blood, his hand and arm swelling significantly, as he slammed his palm towards the incoming arrow, hoping to defend against it!
“Boom!”
However, upon the palm colliding with the arrow, the latter easily pierced through his hand and struck his body. Amidst the explosion, the man in green’s right arm and a large portion of his torso burst as if struck by lightning, sending flesh scattering. His mangled body landed with a thud, now barely breathing more than he was exhaling.
With Su Changkong’s current strength, coupled with the archery of the 8th realm, he found it easy to kill Martial Artists of a lower Cultivation Realm than his own. Even if they were of the same Qi-Blood Furnace Realm, a moment’s inattention against his transcendent Wind Thunder Archery would prove fatal.
“Is it really a Barbarian Martial Artist?” Di Hen, who had initially been worried that Su Changkong had mistakenly killed an innocent person, saw the man in green display peak Qi-Blood Wolf Smoke cultivation and knew that those killed by Su Changkong were indeed Barbarian Martial Artists.
Even though Di Hen couldn’t fathom how Su Changkong had identified their true identities!
“Split up and run!”
At this moment, any lingering hope in the other Barbarian Martial Artists was shattered. Without hesitation, they scattered in all directions, each trying to escape.
“Ahhhh! Someone has been murdered!” The pedestrians near the city gate, seeing the spraying blood, also came to their senses and began to scream in sharp, terrified voices.
But how could Su Changkong possibly let these few Barbarian Martial Artists get away?
Whoosh!
Su Changkong leapt into the air, soaring like a large bird from atop the city tower, gliding forward through the sky.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
