Chapter 262 Searching for Morgana's Weakness
"Everyone, think carefully. Did the Dark Enforcers exhibit any unusual behavior or say anything peculiar during the battle?" Dean Bruce asked.
Putin Hawthorne thought for a moment and then said, "I remember they mentioned something about a 'Shadow Abyss,' claiming it was their holy land."
"Shadow Abyss?" Dean Bruce frowned. "Has anyone heard of this place?"
Alice shook her head. "I've never heard of it, but it sounds like a mysterious place."
Delina Reba also spoke up, "I haven't heard of it either, but we could check the library for any information. Maybe we can find some clues."
Dean Bruce nodded. "Alright, let's head to the library and see if we can dig up any information. Meanwhile, everyone should stay alert and report anything suspicious around the academy immediately."
The group then made their way to the academy's library and began searching for any details on the "Shadow Abyss." After some effort, they finally came across some valuable information.
"Turns out, the Shadow Abyss is a mysterious place hidden deep in the mountains and forests. It's said to be filled with dark magic and danger," Putin Hawthorne read aloud from the materials.
Dean Bruce furrowed his brow. "This place sounds suspicious. It could very well be the headquarters of the Dark Enforcer organization. We need to find it and destroy it as soon as possible."
Alice spoke up, "But this place is so hidden. How are we supposed to find it?"
Dean Bruce thought for a moment and said, "We can start by tracking down the escaped Dark Enforcers. They must know the exact location of the Shadow Abyss. If we capture them, we can force them to reveal the location."
Delina Reba nodded. "Good idea. Let's go now."
With that, Dean Bruce and the others set off again, determined to track down the escaping Dark Enforcers. They made their way through dense forests, crossed treacherous mountain ranges, and eventually discovered signs of the Dark Enforcers in a remote valley.
"Everyone, be careful. The Dark Enforcers are just ahead," Dean Bruce whispered. "Let's approach quietly and try to capture them all in one fell swoop."
Putin Hawthorne and the others nodded, cautiously moving closer to the Dark Enforcers. However, just as they were about to get close, the sound of hurried footsteps suddenly reached their ears.
"Not good, someone's coming!" Putin Hawthorne whispered.
Dean Bruce frowned. "Looks like we've been discovered. Prepare for battle!"
With that, the group engaged in a fierce battle with the Dark Enforcers. It was clear that the Dark Enforcers had been prepared for an encounter. They quickly formed a defensive formation to counter Dean Bruce and his team's attacks.
"These Dark Enforcers are no pushovers. We need to be careful," Dean Bruce said in a low voice.
Putin Hawthorne and the others nodded, adjusting their tactics to deal with the Dark Enforcers' counterattacks. After an intense and hard-fought battle, they finally managed to drive the Dark Enforcers back. However, in the chaos, the Dark Enforcers managed to escape.
"They got away!" Putin Hawthorne said, somewhat frustrated.
Dean Bruce shook his head. "It's alright. We know their movements now. Next time, we'll capture them. For now, we need to find the Shadow Abyss and destroy it."
With that, the group continued tracking the Dark Enforcers' trail. They eventually discovered a concealed entrance deep within a dense, ancient forest. The entrance was heavily protected by powerful magical wards and traps. However, thanks to their strength and perfect coordination, Dean Bruce and his team managed to break through the wards and traps, finally entering the Shadow Abyss.
Inside the Shadow Abyss, the atmosphere was dark and damp, filled with a heavy, oppressive aura of darkness. Dean Bruce and his team moved cautiously, constantly alert to their surroundings. Suddenly, a low, menacing laugh echoed through the darkness.
"So, you finally made it, Dean Bruce," a familiar voice said.
Dean Bruce turned toward the sound and saw Morgana standing not far away, coldly watching them.
"Morgana, so you are here," Dean Bruce said coldly. "Today is your last day."
Morgana sneered. "Hmph, you think you can defeat me? How naive. Today, you will all die here!"
With that, she raised her wand, and a powerful wave of dark magic surged toward Dean Bruce and his team. They quickly cast protective spells to defend themselves, but Morgana's power was overwhelming. Soon, they found themselves forced to retreat, one step after another.
"We can't keep going like this!" Dean Bruce said anxiously. "We have to find a way to break through her attacks!"
Putin Hawthorne gritted his teeth. "Professor, I'll distract her. You all take the chance to counterattack!"
Dean Bruce knew that this was their only option. He nodded. "Alright, Putin, be careful!"
Putin Hawthorne nodded in response and charged forward, engaging Morgana in close combat. Meanwhile, Dean Bruce and the others seized the opportunity to unleash powerful spells in an attempt to break Morgana's offensive.
However, just as they thought they had an opening, Morgana suddenly vanished, as though she had melted into the darkness.
"Not good, she's invisible!" Alice exclaimed.
Dean Bruce frowned. "Stay alert, she could attack at any moment."
Just then, a cold gust of wind blew through the Abyss, sending a chill down their spines, as if something was watching them.
"There!" Delina Reba suddenly pointed in a direction and shouted.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Dean Bruce and the others followed her finger, and there, once again, was Morgana's form, materializing from the shadows. She was coldly staring at them.
"Hmph, you think you can defeat me so easily?" Morgana sneered. "Today, you will all die here!"
She raised her wand once again, and an even more powerful wave of dark magic surged toward Dean Bruce and his team. They hurriedly cast spells to defend themselves, but Morgana's attacks came relentlessly, one after another, like crashing waves.
"We can't keep doing this!" Dean Bruce said urgently. "We need to find her weakness if we're going to defeat her!"
Putin Hawthorne and the others nodded, carefully observing Morgana's attack patterns, trying to find her weakness. After some effort, they finally discovered a pattern in her attacks.
"Professor, I found it!" Putin Hawthorne said excitedly. "After each of Morgana's attacks, there's a brief pause. That's her weakness!"
Upon hearing this, Dean Bruce's eyes lit up with hope. "Great! Let's strike when she pauses!"
"Everyone get ready, we strike together!" Dean Bruce shouted, charging toward Morgana alongside Putin Hawthorne, Alice, and Delina Reba.
Morgana clearly hadn't expected them to find her weakness so quickly. After launching another attack, she was preparing for the next round of retaliation when she suddenly sensed a powerful force heading straight toward her.
"What?" Morgana gasped, her eyes widening in shock. She tried to dodge, but it was already too late. Dean Bruce and the others seized the moment and unleashed a flurry of attacks. Blinding lights and magical forces surged toward her.
Morgana fought with all her strength to defend herself, but the sheer ferocity of their assault was too much for her. She was quickly forced back, her black cloak torn in several places.
"This is impossible! How can you be this strong?!" Morgana roared, her eyes flashing with anger and disbelief.
Dean Bruce sneered. "Evil can never defeat justice. Morgana, your end has come!"
With that, he raised his wand again, sending a blinding beam of light toward Morgana. Seeing it coming, Morgana realized her defeat was inevitable. She gritted her teeth and made a stunning decision.
"If I can't live, then neither will you!" Morgana shouted, suddenly triggering the dark power within her body.
"Not good, she's going to self-destruct!" Dean Bruce's face turned pale as he quickly shouted, "Everyone, retreat!"
Putin Hawthorne and the others immediately turned and fled, racing away from the impending explosion. However, Morgana's self-detonation was far too powerful. A massive shockwave radiated out in all directions, sending Dean Bruce and the others flying through the air.
"Ugh!"
Dean Bruce was hurled backward, coughing up blood. His internal organs felt as though they had been violently displaced. Struggling to his feet, he stared at the spot where Morgana had exploded, a surge of rage and frustration rising within him.
"Damn it! She managed to escape!" Putin Hawthorne stood up as well, shouting in anger.
Alice and Delina Reba approached, both having suffered minor injuries but otherwise unharmed.
"Professor Dean, what should we do now?" Alice asked.
Dean Bruce pondered for a moment before responding, "Although Morgana self-destructed, the Dark Enforcer organization definitely hasn't been completely wiped out. We need to keep tracking their whereabouts and eliminate them once and for all."
Putin Hawthorne and the others nodded in agreement. They knew that the battle wasn't over yet, and they would have to keep fighting if they were to fully destroy the Dark Enforcer organization.
With that, Dean Bruce and his team set off once more. They crossed dense forests, climbed treacherous mountain ranges, and eventually found the remnants of the Dark Enforcer organization in a remote valley.
"Everyone, be cautious. The Dark Enforcers are just ahead," Dean Bruce whispered. "Let's approach quietly and try to take them all down in one go."
Putin Hawthorne and the others nodded, moving carefully toward the Dark Enforcers. However, just as they were about to get close, the sound of hurried footsteps suddenly reached their ears.
"Not good, someone's coming!" Putin Hawthorne whispered.
Dean Bruce frowned. "It seems we've been detected. Prepare for battle!"
With that, the group engaged in an intense battle with the Dark Enforcers. It was clear the Dark Enforcers had already prepared for the confrontation. They quickly formed a defensive formation, repelling Dean Bruce and his team's attacks.
After a fierce struggle, Dean Bruce and his team finally succeeded in driving the Dark Enforcers back. However, the battle had taken a toll, and several of the students had been injured.
