I like them big, do you?

Chapter 98: Horse

Chapter 98: Horse

A humanoid creature stood on its two hooves.

Its head was similar to a horse, and a long mane went down on its back. That mane distinguished its race's specialty, and that was naturally fire.

Otherwise, it wouldn't have gathered Reylin's attention.

Though ghosts would also have a few of their hairs and bodies fluttering, the horse ghost's mane was literally fire!

Reylin smirked and approached the ghost.

However, the rumors about the necromancer had already swept through the dungeon.

The horse ghost instantly entered his defensive mode!

His hand swept, and all surrounding undead lit up in flames!

Reylin chuckled, "How amusing!"

He was feeling already aroused by the fire race! It had much different magic compared to what he heard and saw from his kingdom!

In his kingdom, mages conjured flames for themselves. Mages brought flames out of their bodies and formed many different spells.

The horse did it for the undead! It brought flames out of others for itself! Of course, it could be due to the dungeon, but Reylin's excitement surged.

He was closer to his goal!

"All he did was to light up others in the fire..." Emilia whispered with her eyes squinted.

She tried to pay back for sullying her mood, but she eventually smiled. She was happy that Reylin found them as it wasn't guaranteed he would!

That dungeon was massive, and it wouldn't be a surprise if they found another player instead.

"What do you think about my fire?" Reylin ignored Emilia and let out flames from his hand and sword.

"For years, no living being appeared here... I should've expected that only the exceptional people would come here," The horse said.

Reylin nodded, "That's enough for a compliment. Anyway, have you seen the necromancer?"

"Indeed. That's why I have been on the run," The horse replied.

It looked like the necromancer came in handy for Reylin.

That guy caused too much havoc in the ghosts' minds. Though they had long since died, their souls couldn't reincarnate as they were enslaved here by the dungeon. Worse, they had their intelligence intact.

They naturally didn't want to die again.

Some had accepted fate and just ran away from the necromancer.

A few more days as ghosts would do, and they would spend it by fighting each other!

However, Reylin suddenly appeared.

The appearance of the two people made it clear that other dungeon raiders would soon flood the place. Many ghosts had met their enemies like Estras, so passing skills and erasing souls would become a norm at any time.

"Why do you look so hopeless?" Reylin smiled, "I've come here in search of a fire race ghost. Your flames... I want them for my ambition."

"You already have a ghost behind you," The horse shook his head, "You will get his abilities, not mine."

"I am not interested in swordsmanship," Reylin wasn't a hero either.

That heroic sword wasn't something he would use daily. It was just a weapon, not for him and his days with it confirmed it.

Of course, Reylin had been swinging the sword for just a day, but he was sure it wasn't a weapon for him.

It would do if he needed something sharp, however.

"I want to feel your flames," Reylin stepped closer, "It's a spar. I won't kill you, and I am sure you can't kill me. Use that undead the best you can and amuse me!"

"..." The horse stared at incoming Reylin.

Those flames were a different kind.

Although Reylin used normal mana, his flames left a feeling the horse hadn't felt by now! It was precisely why he put Reylin on the same spot as the necromancer.

Both gave off an extraordinary aura.

The necromancer was like in a paradise with his abilities, but Reylin could wreak a lot of havoc here as well with those kinds of flames.

"Spar? So be it..." The horse said.

He also saw that Reylin wasn't here to kill him and learn a valuable experience.

In this treasure vault, any player would be able to fight many techniques. Be it fire or even commanding skills, anyone would experience many styles.

That was a valuable experience for anyone aspiring to be at the top!

Reylin was interested in flames only.

His ambition reached the horse!

GRRRRR!

The undead growled, and their speed promptly increased!

It was a skill similar to what Reylin had learned from Layla's shop.

However, what it burned was literally flesh! Other than the source, the horse's skill was on a different level, and it excelled at what Reylin used.

"Not even a room for preparation?" Reylin smirked and shoved his hand into the zombie's mouth!

His fireball blew up the monster's head.

And that usually would be the end.

The zombie died indeed, but the horse's flames gnawed on Reylin's hand from within. After Reylin took it out, he saw that his skin was gone! His flesh was burned as well, and he barely could move his hand.

Emilia promptly pointed her hand at it and healed him.

"Careful," She said nonchalantly.

Of course, deep inside, Emilia was worried for that cheeky player.

Fortunately, that kind of Emilia didn't last long as she got pretty excited in a battle. With her holy bullets killing zombies and skeletons one by one, Emilia slowly returned to her peak mood.

Reylin patted her shoulder, "Keep going, my priestess. I enjoy that side of yours."

He shifted attention to the horse, "It's a higher ranked skill to what I use. Well, let me show it to you."

[You have used Burn Charge.]

Fire came out from Reylin's calves, and he began running faster! Since he had an excellent epic sword made out of a bone in his inventory, Reylin kept up with the mood and swung it at the undead monsters.

He drew a fire trail with each move, and it was what piqued the horse's interest.

"I don't understand... this fire..." The horse whispered.

His undead exploded with flames as well, but it failed against Reylin's flames.

By looking to the side, the horse saw how Emilia's bullets did 'not' work against his power. Each undead killed by Emilia exploded, and that was the horse's skill.

However, Reylin's flames erased that effect!

"Is it an imitation? Is he trying to get the same effect as us?" The horse whispered again.

Before he realized it, Reylin was already close.

His hand, sword, and literally everything around him burned with dominance!

"What are you? Are you really a human?"

"Race matters not," He replied, "As long as we both love flames, we will cut a deal."

The horse closed his eyes and nodded.
