Chapter 83: Wrath
Chapter 83: Wrath
It had been around forty minutes after Reylin took his girlfriend to the restaurant.
In the car, Sebastian held the wheel and patiently waited for the date to end. He didn't think it would end with just that, but at least one of his burdens would disappear should Reylin leave the place unscathed.
Alas, the explosion rang out within the restaurant!
"No!" Sebastian cried within the car and bumped his forehead on the wheel.
He closed his eyes tightly, and countless thoughts ran across his mind.
Those were mainly excuses for the restaurant's owner and Madam Crown.
At last, Sebastian's eyes rose, and he was ready to leave the car.
But Reylin and Aria left the restaurant first!
Aria was in a good mood, and she swung her purse while laughing nonstop.
"Young Master has found a girlfriend that likes his hobby... This is a disaster for the future," Sebastian whispered while sweat ran down his face.
Reylin's face was contorted with indignation, but he eased after listening to Aria's laughter. She had also complimented him enough, and he spoke to Sebastian with a cheerful mood.
Of course, Reylin saw Sebastian's state, so he quickly said, "You don't have to do anything. Everything's cleared up already."
Sebastian wiped off his sweat, "That's a relief, young master... I see I see..." It looked like Reylin wanted to take care of things by himself so that he would score a few more points in Aria's eyes.
Sebastian didn't dare to reveal those thoughts, and he just drove the car.
Should Reylin have a driving license, he would have been the one driving it, probably...
The next destination was a cliff, and that was not too far away from Reylin's apartment. He let out his fireworks here and made the stars a mere decoration.
Since Aria wanted to see some fireworks, he did what a simp would do, but Reylin also didn't have time to play with them recently.
It was for both of them, and the date ended with a big one.
On that date, some trouble happened, but it wasn't bad at all.
Considering that Reylin was still young and hadn't gone on a date before, it was a perfect date with a mixture of seriousness and cheerfulness.
Aria had nothing to complain about, and she returned back home satisfied.
"Young Master... If I may know, who tasted the young master's special?" Sebastian asked on the way home.
"Some random," Reylin said with his eyes on the phone.
On the screen, he had a photo of himself and Aria. He also had a few of her just alone, and the best one became a wallpaper.
He yawned and narrowed his eyes, "I will be changing plans soon."
"Plans?" Sebastian asked, his body trembling without any reason.
"I've received a punishment that I must put into good use," Reylin sneered.
-
"Good afternoon," Layla called Reylin after he had appeared in the game world.
He usually logged around this time, and that was due to his school.
Layla knew his schedule already as they had been spending time together. He also logged out in her house as that was the safest spot in the fantasy world.
"Hi, beautiful," Reylin replied with a fan already heating up his face.
The couple did a couple things, but the focus was mainly on the fire magic and mana.
Since his girlfriend was a high mage, Reylin had access to many fire techniques, and he casually learned them one by one.
That increased his understanding of how mana worked, and Reylin genuinely liked seeing flames in different forms.
He also wanted to bring his bombs to the game world and turn fireballs into fireworks.
All of this was for the Fire Heart Quest as well.
[Fire Heart Quest - A quest born out of the consequences of Rey Flames Lin's actions and meetings. It's the first step toward his great ambition! Upon completion, your body will get the second heart, an organ to produce your own mana.]
[First part - Your Heart. To get a method to form your second heart, you need to know what kind of heart you exactly want. Once you understand this, you will receive x1 Fire Heart Blueprint.]
"What kind of heart? Fire Heart..." Reylin sighed.
Layla smiled brightly as that helpless side was rare on Reylin. She slithered her way toward him and hugged from behind, "You have a fire quest, so it's not like that. And since you have tested countless skills so far, you must look at it from a different point.
How would you feel if you had your own fire mana?"
"I would be closer to my ambition, so definitely the best," Reylin sneered, "But that's not the right feeling... Then what if I failed?"
Reylin stepped on a good track once he began thinking about the failure.
His girlfriend didn't disturb him as he focused on those thoughts and just silently listened to all his mumblings with a faint smile.
Reylin entered deep thinking, and his mind returned to the past where he felt no mana.
That was the moment where he felt so much wrath he boiled without any mana!
And that was the feeling he needed!
[Wrath!]
[You have received x1 Fire Heart Blueprint.]
Wrath would be his fuel, but there was an important reason why Reylin would receive such a task.
That was because Fire Mana already belonged to Milkyona.
He needed a different kind, so his mana needed to be different.
"Wrath... It suits the flames that howls, but..." Reylin knew that it would be an incomplete heart.
After all, a fire was the best as it could be either loud or silent.
He found peace in both forms, and so Reylin wouldn't stop with just wrath.
Now, he took a look into the blueprint.
Layla was behind him, and her eyes landed on the system messages as well.
Her lips parted in shock, "That's a lot of stuff to do... And where will you find... different races? They are all gone!"
Her words piqued Reylin's interest.
What was a fantasy world without any other races? So far, Reylin saw humans and monsters and no humanoid race... Well, there was a guy who became undead, but that was a player.
And dark matter couldn't be called another race since it changed everyone.
Reylin looked behind, "Were there records about different races?"
"Of course... But as I said, they are gone... It was a suspicious matter for our ancestors, but races can't hide that well. Some were even giants, and yet they disappeared from our continent.
Well... I am not a religious person, but I believe that the church is right. The Ascended had killed anyone that's not a human!" Layla shared her view.
Reylin stared into her eyes, "You can't be serious. What's the point? They should've kept some alive to be slaves... What's the other theory?"
Layla nodded and replied, "That they found another dimension in our world and settled here. Humans never were close with different races, and we basically fought with everyone since our numbers are the highest."
"Hmm..." Reylin pondered, "I think I should visit the church... It should be amusing with my nickname."
