Chapter 135: Listen now
Chapter 135: Listen now
Reylin stared at the sky through his private jet.
His reptile eyes in the real world occasionally flashed as many thoughts crossed in his mind. His thoughts were absurd, and anyone with access to them would've called him lunatic should they hear them.
'If the Faynom World is real... then I am a killer," Reylin pondered inwardly.
He had killed a noble near the start of the game, and his kill count continued. He didn't care about monsters but people and how his deeds influenced them.
It was fun and exciting, as long as the game was the game.
Surprisingly, Reylin's heart didn't speed up nor beat erratically. He stared with composure as that thought ran circles in his mind.
"Have you killed a person in the game, Sebastian?" Reylin asked while resting his head on his hand.
Sebastian nodded, "Yes."
"Hah," Reylin let out a faint chuckle.
Indeed.
He didn't have many friends before the game as no one wanted to keep themselves around the tickling bomb. People such as Vis were acquaintances before and people he knew from the school.
Still, the point was that all of them entered the game and did the same deeds.
People Reylin met in the game, such as Ferocious Bear and Steel Melody, had also killed others in the game world.
Each had their own reasons behind it, but a kill was kill.
Perhaps, it was precisely that, and maybe Reylin was apathetic about the people he had killed, but his heart remained stoic.
"We will be there in less than thirty minutes, Young Master," Sebastian said from the side.
"Thirty minutes to think about exciting things," Reylin chuckled.
His killing in-game was one thing, but polygamy was a much exciting topic to talk about. Reylin would instead think about it rather than horrific killing!
And that was indeed an exciting thought.
If Layla and Emilia turned out to be real people, then Reylin wouldn't be able to just give up on them.
They shared valuable memories that were sweet and touching.
Layla's care was deeply etched in Reylin's heart, and Emilia's development from blinded priestess to a woman who wants to live with her goal on the line had naturally left a profound impression on him.
To say nothing of how pleasant it was to have both of them in the bed.
"Most players will get influenced by the killing while I am more worried about polygamy. Ah, the sin of the royal bloodline," Reylin chuckled.
Royal Bloodline was also why he thought of the Faynom World as the real world.
It wasn't like his grandpa could've predicted the Faynom World's appearance and called Reylin a child with dragon's eyes.
So, how did the dragon come out?
Did the company fix Reylin's character and give him a golden spoon?
Surely not!
Reylin had more reasons than enough to think of the Faynom World as the real world.
It was time to confirm that.
"We've landed, Young Master!" Sebastian called out.
"I can see," Reylin sighed.
-
After Reylin left his private jet, servants from his family's holiday cabin greeted him below. They had been waiting for him already!
A car was here, and the driver knew the destination.
Sebastian opened the doors, and Reylin casually hopped in after replying to all the servants.
His family had many holiday cabins and servants across all continents.
Reylin would find a home from himself all over the world.
It took them around an hour to get to the Revo Company.
Minor traffic and stuff didn't leave a scratch on Reylin's mood, and he seriously faced the Revo Company's building.
It was a skyscraper in the middle of the capital.
And as if someone from here had received a call beforehand, the doors opened, revealing a lady in an office suit.
She introduced herself as Barmi, "We are pleased to host the top 1 player in our modest company!"
"Modest?" Reylin raised one eyebrow.
"We don't dare to flaunt before the Crown," Barmi awkwardly smiled and gestured to Reylin to follow her.
Sebastian was next to him and also kept looking around with rapt attention.
Barmi was all awkward as it was a rather sudden visit. Any other person would've been turned down. Alas, the crown had come here in person.
That family couldn't be refused, and Reylin was also the top player!
Many workers had risen up to greet Reylin and bashfully asked for an autograph.
Reylin just casually threw his signature, but his handwriting left people stunned.
"What an artist..." They whispered after Reylin disappeared to the primary office.
In an office, Reylin took a seat and nonchalantly lifted a cup of tea to his lips.
However, Sebastian didn't take a seat, and he remained behind his young master with his hands clasped behind.
At last, Barmi took the seat before him.
Reylin titled his head, "Where is the boss?"
"Boss is... currently unavailable," Barmi replied.
Her lips already quivered, and she seemed shaken by Relin's question.
Reylin tilted his head in the opposite direction, "I guess he is not here... And you haven't seen him in a good while... Let me take a guess... You haven't seen him since he advertised the streaming device."
Barmi trembled evidently, and her eyes dropped onto the desk.
Reylin and Sebastian studied her closely. The latter had his heart beating faster and faster as if his young master's thoughts had become real already.
Reylin said, "On our way here, I saw the financial department with lights on... The same goes for marketing, and I guess people from the social media team... How can the game be this flawless if there aren't any developers?"
No response bypassed Barmi's lips.
She had thought Reylin would come here to talk about the competition between the countries.
All representatives had already contacted them, and many disputes were solved this way.
Reylin's country and its players had also fought against each other in man-made wars. Those wars were about borders, oil pipelines, and other political stuff.
Reylin wasn't invited because there was no need.
However, after his last spectacle, people from other countries would make countless excuses to not let him play the game.
Still, were those man-made wars possible with the current status of Faynom World?
"I guess we have to talk differently... Sebastian," Reylin sighed and closed his eyes.
His butler fished out a contract from his pocket.
That contract landed before Barmi's confused eyes.
And as she read it, she understood Reylin's plot!
He would ask her questions in a roundabout way, and she also had received permission to record the conversation. The Crown Family also would give her insurance should anything terrible happen to her due to this information reveal.
Reylin's eyes flashed with a scarlet hue, "Listen now."
A hue that everyone missed.
