Chapter 105: Heros Showtime
Chapter 105: Hero's Showtime
A few hours later, Reylin and Emilia helped other residents.
They prioritized helping others, and many locals expressed their gratitude with tears brimming their eyes. It was a harsh situation for many of them, especially for those villagers without walls or hunters.
"You can find refuge in the Yamna City," Emilia gently explained.
She used her status as one of the priestesses, and it worked. Holy flames were known across the whole continent, so people believed no one around her would try to scam or use them as shields.
Emilia's strength reassured them further, to say nothing of Reylin's flames.
That man's passive skill, [Hero's Showtime], also left a deep impression within residents' hearts.
How did it exactly work?
At first, Reylin brought fear to players as he casually killed and used his flames on all living beings, including humans. He didn't care whether the game was too real-life and thread with dominating pressure around him.
After most players adapted, it changed into excitement. Many players were amazed by his skills, for example, the legendary skill.
Players weren't mindless killers as well, so getting aroused by Reylin's might was a given.
Now, Hero's Showtime leveraged that excitement.
It was like an additional fuel to Reylin's flames. The higher excitement, the faster his flames spread. It wasn't just that, as Reylin's crowd was also immune to foreign flames he spread around...
Meaning that Reylin's flames, whether his own or foreign, wouldn't kill those commoners! He would use them instead!
Of course, if someone else used flames, Reylin would have to be careful.
Alas, that wasn't really a problem.
"Rey Flames Lin... Our savior!"
"Savior!"
"Hey! I am also here! And he didn't even talk with you!" Emilia waved her gun at the residents, who had faintly smiled at her words.
Of course, Emilia was a strong lady, but her presence diminished heavily when it was Reylin's time!
Whether priestess or just a hero's beautiful companion, status didn't mean anything when Reylin laughed and used his flames.
BANG!
And another one died!
"I've already got back to level sixty," Reylin smiled as he eyed his priestess.
Emilia responded with the same dazzling one, "I am still ahead."
She was so happy to get stronger that just mentioning level was enough to make her a little blushing. Under Reylin's eyes, her lips curved up into a stirring smile, and Emilia's stamina regenerated faster.
Whether it was true or not, Reylin didn't confirm as it would sully the mood.
As long as Emilia could go around, all was fine.
Reylin also would be able to keep her safe if need be.
"Let's continue until sunset," Reylin sneered and left the city to search for other people in need.
Emilia was behind him, and these two looked quite like a good pair!
-
Reylin had confirmed the situation in Exodium CIty through Sebastian and Alex.
It was another cheat ability that players had, and it was simply the chat.
He talked with them and even ordered Sebastian to check Layla's shop.
Both Monica and his girlfriend were fine, so Reylin's flames carried on with its judgment.
After a whole day, Reylin logged out of the game.
He was greeted by Sebastian, and even his maid was still in his apartment.
They all ate together, then Reylin shifted his eyes to Hania, "You will play the game too."
"Ah, yes!" Hania belatedly reacted, then replied in a fluster.
She didn't expect Reylin to issue such an order, but playing a game was also not possible for Hania due to her family's status. Nonetheless, if she could work in a game, it would open a new chapter for her.
A chapter she was genuinely excited for.
Reylin explained, "I guess Sebastian can help you level up for a little. Other than that, your objective will be to keep an eye on Burial Ground Dungeon. All people, who find a ghost with fire characteristics, must be noted by you."
"...Yes!" Hania yet again replied belatedly.
That was because she didn't really understand the game.
For that, Sebastian would teach her, and she would spend some time watching the videos about the Faynom World.
Hania would need to level up fast for that dungeon mission, so Sebastian already planned to use the newest predicament the whole kingdom faced.
Reylin ended the dinner and returned to his room.
He clicked on the global forum made by the company, then clicked his continent.
Using his nickname, Reylin made a post about the Burial Ground Dungeon.
He wanted people that would keep Callan and other fire races flames. Of course, Callan was the priority because they had built up a friendship, and other fire races' personalities mattered not.
Players who would take their abilities were the priority.
One of them could also become a connection to the second layer.
"My nickname is orange? How thoughtful," Reylin chuckled at his nickname being different from others.
He was already like a celebrity, so that was fair.
After he posted, Reylin called Aria, and they had the usual talk.
Reylin became a little simp for her, but his voice returned to normal once Aria told him about the dark matter wave, "So they have also caused you some problems? I guess I will take a trip to your kingdom soon."
"Maya's territory had a far easier problem than mine... We have to deal with a secret organization that goes against churches. An intelligent bunch of crap that pressures NPCs through third parties. Recently, they began luring mini-bosses at others." Aria complained from the other side.
Reylin sneered, "I will leave them defenseless to you. Your guild also needs to know that a pyromaniac has taken their guild leader's heart."
"What has the pyromaniac simp thought of?" Aria giggled, "Are you going to shout 'My Lioness, your boyfriend has arrived? That would be like a simp indeed."
"I didn't give it a thought yet, but I will use your idea, then. I feel like they would understand just with me by your side, but I can shout my love out loud just as you wish," Reylin chuckled.
Their talk returned to usual, and the day ended with Reylin going to bed with satisfaction filling his heart.
