Chapter 115 Vice Leader's Interest
Night had fallen over the Phoenix Celestial Guild's real-life branch. The building cast its imposing silhouette against the glowing city skyline.
Within it members moved through the halls, strategizing over missions or unwinding in the guild's many lounges.
Ariana Carlisle, better known as Aria in Enders Light was seated in one of the guild's private offices.
A thoughtful frown creased her face as she listened to Nathan Hale, one of the guild's senior officers.
"You've heard nothing from Aleman since the Swordking Dungeon?" Nathan questioned with both a curious and slightly impatient tone.
Aria sighed, leaning back in her chair. "Not a word. I've sent messages in-game, but he hasn't responded to a single one. It's like he's disappeared."
Nathan rubbed his chin as his blue eyes narrowed. "Strange. Vice Leader herself has expressed interest in recruiting him. She approved Lilo, Boris, and Ezran already, but Aleman is the real prize. A player with dual classes and that level of skill would be a major asset to the guild."
Aria nodded slowly. "I know, but if he's ignoring me, what am I supposed to do? I can't exactly drag him here."
Nathan's gaze sharpened. "You know his friends. Talk to them. Someone must know what he's up to."
That idea seemed reasonable enough, and Aria rose to her feet. "I'll see what I can find out."
Leaving the office, Aria made her way to one of the guild lounges, where Rachel Valentine, better known as Lilo, was chatting with a few guild members.
Rachel's light pink hair tumbled down her shoulders in soft waves, and her radiant smile made her the center of attention in any room. She noticed Aria approaching and waved her over.
"Hey, Aria!" Rachel greeted brightly with infectious energy. "What's up?"
Aria returned the smile but wasted no time getting to the point. "Have you heard from Aleman recently? He's been ignoring my messages."
Rachel tilted her head with a slightly confused expression. "He's not ignoring you. He's just busy prepping for his Tier Two test. He mentioned it in our group chat earlier today."
"Tier Two? Oh yes, I remember he got the qualification..." Aria's eyes widened. "That explains it. I suppose I can't blame him for focusing on that."
Rachel grinned. "Exactly. He logged in right after we talked, so he's probably training like a maniac right now."
"Group chat?" Aria's curiosity deepened. "Mind adding me?"
Rachel laughed softly while shaking her head. "I'd love to, but it's not my call. I'd need permission from everyone else, Aleman included."
Aria sighed before nodding in understanding. "Fair enough. What's he like in your group chat, though? I mean, is he different from how he is in-game?"
Rachel's grin widened. "Not really. He's still smooth, confident, and somehow always knows the right thing to say. Honestly, it's hard not to admire him."
Aria leaned in slightly. "You've never seen him in real life, though?"
"Nope," Rachel admitted before laughing. "But judging by his avatar, I'm betting he's good-looking. You don't carry yourself like that in-game unless you've got something to back it up in real life."
A blush appeared on Aria's face as she giggled. "I almost saw his face once. We were chatting in the elevator and a small disturbance caused his scarf to lower but he pulled it back up just as I was about to get a glimpse. It was so frustrating."
Rachel's laughter grew louder. "What a tease! Maybe he's hiding a terrible secret under that scarf."
"Doubt it," Aria replied with a smirk. "A guy like Aleman? He's probably a total heartbreaker."
Their conversation drifted to the Vice Leader's interest in Aleman, and Rachel's expression grew thoughtful. "Do you think he'll accept her offer to join the guild officially?"
Aria shrugged. "It's hard to say. He's not the type to be tied down, but the Ice Queen can be very persuasive. If he does join, though..."
"We'll finally see his face," Rachel finished, grinning mischievously. "I can't wait for that day."
The two women shared a laugh, both intrigued by the enigmatic Aleman and curious about the man behind the avatar. While Aria was determined to recruit him, she couldn't help but wonder what kept him at arm's length, even from those who seemed closest to him.

Within Enders Light, August leaned back against a boulder spiky protrusion atop.
The cool wind of Tagharium's outer wilds swept past him, rustling the tufts of sparse vegetation scattered across the rocky terrain. The bright glow of his newly unlocked spell flickered in his hands as he extinguished it causing the surroundings to fade into silence.

August glanced at the glowing interface and tapped the spell marked Light Reverie, the C-tier magic card spell he had unlocked recently.
The spell emitted a burst of light that could confuse and disorient enemies momentarily. It leaves any magical being within a certain radius incapable of using their spells briefly.
Its synergy with his Sovereign of Anti-Darkness title gave it an added edge in battles against dark-aligned foes. But for now, it still wasn't at the level he wanted.
"I need this at level three before I can even consider the tier two qualification test," August muttered to himself, dismissing the interface with a flick of his wrist.
For the past couple of hours, he'd been grinding relentlessly, targeting creatures on the outskirts of Tagharium to practice his spells. Most were low-level beasts, nothing challenging, but enough to provide experience for his skills.
Now, with his MP running low and a dull ache spreading through his fingers from repetitive casting, he decided it was time to take a break.
August sat down on a flat patch of rock and opened his inventory. His eyes scanned the long list of items he'd accumulated since his journey began. The sheer number of loot he had bordered on absurd—over thirty items he could extract and sell in real life.
As the shimmering inventory interface expanded before him, August felt a sense of satisfaction. These weren't just random trinkets. Each item was proof of the countless battles he'd fought and the risks he'd taken.
"Alright, let's figure this out," August murmured, scrolling through his inventory. His fingers hovered over some of the highlighted items.

The health potions stood out to him immediately.
They were a valuable asset in both the game and real life. The idea of extracting them for AM Coven had crossed his mind before, but today, the thought evolved further.
"Health potions… hospitals," August mused aloud. The thought was simple yet brilliant. If hospitals and healthcare centers saw the utility of health potions, he could create an entirely new market in real life.
