A week had passed by and the deadline given by the King had come, and yet, the Generals nor the Duke could think of any other way to win.

"So, it come to this." King Eskal exclaimed, watching as his soldiers were prepared for a deadly strike to their enemies forces, one that will concentrate on the Archdemon.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"We have made other preparation as well, your Majesty. The only thing we need to do is using them at the right time." General Ilus said, bowing to his King.

"Get ready, we will strike by dawn."

For the past few week, the monsters are the one that launch the attack, and they usually did it at dawn. So, it came to a great surprise for most, if not all of the monster horde when the human army charged at them.

They did not scream, silently attacking the monsters while the monsters prepared themselves for their assault. This lead to the monsters caught completely of guard, many killed by the surprise attack.

Yet, the surprise did not stop there, as the human forces have even more installed for them.

"Graaagg, wrraaggh hrrughh?" a Demon Goblin King, the only other one than Gobruk looked around, confused as he could not see the pesky defenders stopping his attack to the fortress.

Looking around, he soon found a strong Bird Magic Beast and took a quick ride up above. As he did so, he could see everything down there, including the inside of the fortress, yet, what was the hub of the human soldiers and a pain in the ass for him did not have its most important components, the soldiers.

Emboldened, he order the Bird Magic Beast to descend on the wall. Once he get on top, he scour the area searching for any sign of the human forces. When he found none, it seem they clear everything before leaving, the Demon Goblin King opened the door, letting his force enter.

Even as the rest of his horde enter the empty fortress, he was in deep thought, wondering where the enemies are. They could not vanish out of thin air. They have to go somewhere, but where? Your journey continues on empire

Despite the initial surprise, the monster hordes were able to quickly reform themselves, the one at the back able to form up as the front 'sacrifice' themselves for those behind.

As they prepared to destroy the incoming enemy forces when they are tired, having split up from the panicking one, they soon hear a sound.

At first, they ignored it, but the sound keep getting louder, and worst of all, it is a sound that they recognize, the movement of a large army, their steps thundering due to their numbers.

Yet, it came from a different direction to the first attack. Fearfully, the leader of the part of the horde looked at the side, quickly learning his greatest fear came true, the enemy force attacking them from two different spot.

The second army did not stop their charges, slamming into the flank of the monster horde and quickly thinning the horde.

"Raarghh!" panic soon spread across the horde, as they could not think of anyway to escape their current predicament. When on try to run away in terror, it snowballed quickly, with almost half of the monsrers joining in the fear running.

With half of the 400 000 force strong fleeing, the two human army began to systematically squash the rest like a bug between the palm of a human.

"Raaghh!"

"Aaargh!"

"Hyaaargh!"

Fearful screams soon filled the air as more monsters meet their demise, the human army killing them ruthlessly.

King Eskal watched from the rear, a tired sigh escaping him.

"With more of our army converging here, we can easily win this battle." General Lanki said, looking forward to the rematch against the demon, one that took his pride away.

"Don't get cocky." General Pharrell said, his eyes still on the horde of monsters. "We don't know what countermeasures they come up with, so, we can only react reactively, just like before."

Lanki grumbled, but accepted it nonetheless. Though, he opened his mouth soon after.

"It is surprising to see General Fram move entire army without being noticed." How did he do that, while being in the dark, General Lanki did not know, but at least it give them the more troops to deal a stronger blow to horde the demon was at.

"Looks like the leaders of the hordes has step up." General Ilus exclaimed, watching as Goblin King, Goblin Veteran, Orc Warking, Behemoth Orc, Orc Guardian, Kobold King, Kobold Veteran, Lizardman Conquerer and Lizardman Elite Hunter, enter the field.

All of them are A-rank monsters, which made the tide of the battle slowly not being in the humans favor.

"It seem we need to join in." General Lanki suddenly said. The others looked at one another before nodding. With how many A-rank monsters are there, they will need all hands on the field. Especially when there are even greater threat forcing some of the A-ranks to be shifted to the said target.

Soon, A-rank monsters, and human elites battled one another for the fate of the Kingdom, sending shockwaves wherever they are fighting.

"I have been completely caught off guard." Alros growled, glaring as he peered through the vision of one of his corrupted animals. It seem he need to escape elsewhere, so he could launch a deadlier counterattack on the human.

As he was about to leave, suddenly, a group of people charged into his camp. It was a good thing he already put all of his women back to the system space or it might have cause some complication.

A look make him groan, as the symbol of the Holy Church was boldly place on the back of their robes and cloaks.

"To think, the Holy Church send in such large number of elites." Alros said with an unamused tone. He could sense 10 A-rankers and 30 B-rankers. Though there could be more. After all, being able to hide from the sense of a demon should be an important aspect of the Church's demon slaying team.

None of them spoke, their weapon pointed at Alros yet no sign of movement was being made, causing the Archdemon to raise his brows at their sudden inaction.

As he wondered if he should launch the first attack, several pillar of light erupted around him, sending waves of Holy Energy, causing the concentration of Holy Mana to reach a more painful level for a demon.
