Chapter 88: This might just be innate divine strength, huh?_1
The gym was eerily quiet.
Everyone stared blankly at the numbers on the Force Tester Tang Feng was using, unable to snap out of their shock for a long while.
Did he just punch with a force of 398 kilograms?
Isn’t that a bit exaggerated?
“Impossible, this simply can’t be possible. Is your machine broken?”
Niu Zhuangzhuang was the first to regain his senses, voicing his doubts.
The others then came around.
“That’s right, the machine must be broken. He weighs just over 70 kilograms, how can he punch with nearly 400 kilograms of force?”
“The force one can exert shouldn’t surpass their own body weight by too much, how could it exceed it by more than five times?”
“This just can’t be, either the machine is broken or he’s cheating.”
“Definitely a broken machine…”
Skeptical voices filled the air.
Even Xu Xinling shared the same thoughts as everyone else. After all, Tang Feng didn’t look very strong; how could he possibly have strength comparable to boxing king Tyson?
“Young master, why don’t you try another punch?”
Truth be told, Tang Feng wasn’t particularly concerned about the crowd’s skepticism, nor did he feel the need to prove anything to them.
But since Xu Xinling had asked, it wouldn’t be good for him to refuse.
He had no choice but to swing another punch at the Force Tester.
“Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh…”
The digits on the screen climbed rapidly before finally settling at 402 kilograms!
That was 4 kilograms more than the last punch.
“How is that possible? Let me try,” said Niu Zhuangzhuang, feeling anxious. He marched over, mustered all his strength, and threw a punch at the Force Tester.
“Bang!”
With a massive boom, numbers on the large screen soared.
282 kilograms!
It was almost the same as his last test of strength.
This proved that the machine was in fact working fine.
“The machine… is fine?”
He stood stunned, his gaze shifting towards Tang Feng.
Did this mean the guy who was half a head shorter than him had truly unleashed a 400-kilogram punch?
It was far beyond his comprehension, causing his brain to grind to a halt.
And the voices that had been questioning Tang Feng suddenly vanished.
A force of over 400 kilograms was enough not to mention killing a cow, but definitely good enough to kill a pig or a sheep.
Not to mention hitting a person.
Xu Xinling suddenly approached quickly, grabbed Tang Feng’s hand, and inspected it closely. “Young master, how did you do it? How could you unleash a 400-kilogram force?”
“Ahem, I’ve always been relatively strong since I was little. Maybe it’s just natural brute strength?” Tang Feng casually made up an excuse. He couldn’t exactly say that he got it from spending over 10 million on a system upgrade, could he?
He had initially felt that spending over 10 million was somewhat unjustified.
But looking at it now, it was truly worth every penny!
“Young master, we’re good friends, you know. If someone bullies me in the future, you must protect me,” Xu Xinling said, putting on an appearance of being utterly powerless, a stark contrast from the fierceness she displayed when she knocked out the Taekwondo coach.
Tang Feng was dumbfounded.
This seemed to be only their second meeting, how had they become good friends?
But out of consideration for Song Lele, he reluctantly nodded, “No problem.”
With his assurance, Xu Xinling was full of confidence. She turned to Niu Zhuangzhuang, “How about it, big guy? Are you convinced now?”
Seeing her proactively instigating trouble again, Tang Feng somewhat regretted agreeing to her.
As expected, Niu Zhuangzhuang was immediately provoked by her words, “What use is just having strength? Boxing relies on technique. Without skill, no amount of power can be useful.”
He then turned towards Tang Feng, “Do you dare to have a match with me?”
Tang Feng rolled his eyes in response.
Was this guy out of his mind? He was the one being challenged, so why was he involving Tang Feng?
Xu Xinling swept a contemptuous glance at Niu Zhuangzhuang, “Who wants to fight you? You’re a professional boxer, we’re not.”
Niu Zhuangzhuang’s students, who had been made to look bad by Tang Feng earlier, finally saw a chance for retaliation.
“Oh, backing down already? Just a pretty boy with no fight?”
“Haha, seems like Mr. Niu was right, this kid’s only got brawn, no practical fighting skills.”
“No practical use if you’ve just got strength, probably can’t even beat the street thugs, right?”
“I was actually fooled by him just now, thought he was something special, is this all?”
“If you don’t dare to fight then just beat it, stop acting tuff…”
Tang Feng raised an eyebrow, ready to speak.
But Xu Xinling stepped out ahead of him and approached Niu Zhuangzhuang who was a full head taller than her, “You want to fight, right? I’ll fight you then.”
Niu Zhuangzhuang was caught amused by her boldness, “Hahaha, this is a battle among men, little girl stay out of it; I’d hate to accidentally kill you with one punch.”
Xu Xinling stared him down unflinchingly, “If you don’t dare to fight, then beat it, why all the talk?”
Niu Zhuangzhuang stared back at her, “Are you sure you want to fight me?”
“I’m sure!” Xu Xinling’s tone was unwavering.
“Fine, I’ll be waiting for you in the boxing ring. If you have the guts, follow me there,” Niu Zhuangzhuang said, leaving for the boxing ring followed by a group of his students.
Tang Feng quickly grabbed hold of Xu Xinling who was about to follow, “Big sister, can we not mess around? That guy is a trained boxer, not that kind of window dressing like Taekwondo, you know?”
Saying that Taekwondo was just window dressing was indeed a bit of an exaggeration.
But in terms of practical fighting, it truly fell short compared to boxing.
In fact, the reason she won against that Taekwondo coach had a lot to do with the coach underestimating her, which gave her an opportunity to exploit.
Yet now she dared to challenge a boxing coach, this was quite daring.
“That big guy openly challenged us, if we don’t accept the challenge, wouldn’t that be losing face?” Xu Xinling argued with fervor.
Tang Feng was at a loss for words, and after a moment of silence, he continued, “But it’s a bit dangerous for you, a girl, to challenge a male boxer. Maybe I should do it.”
“Do you know boxing?” Xu Xinling curiously inquired.
“Not really… but I can try it.” Tang Feng felt that with his current strength, there shouldn’t be a problem.
“Forget it then. If you get hurt, Lele certainly won’t be happy. I’ll do it,” she said, and not giving him a chance to argue, she got up and headed towards the boxing gym.
Watching her silhouette, Tang Feng was left speechless. This woman was quite a force to be reckoned with!
