Chapter 162: 161. Healing
That was because, no matter how beautiful she looked, their minds could only associate this woman with the devil incarnate.
The scene of an unearthly beauty mercilessly carving and slicing their flesh apart could never be erased from their hearts.
It was to the point that, as the two beauties walked closer and closer, the two men began shivering and shaking with greater intensity.
Lucius noticed the movement and came closer, whispering into the ears of the two twins.
"I don't know what you two are thinking, but don't mess this up. Don't spill anything about what happened before to the new woman in front of you, as long as you still want to keep the Montford name and continue to live a good life."
The two brothers gulped nervously but didn't dare to go against Lucius's words. Although Camilla was the one identified as a demon in their hearts, the man in front of them was the one who could order around such a demon, which made him even more terrifying.
The two approaching girls didn't seem to notice anything, and when she got close, Alice broke out into an even more beautiful smile.
"Lucius, it feels like it's been ages since I last saw you."
"Well, it feels like someone has been deliberately avoiding me."
Hearing this, Alice's face quickly blushed. She immediately thought back to the embarrassing situation in which she was caught spying on Lucius's private affairs.
Somehow, Lucius and Alice had reached an almost silent agreement not to bring it up again. Now, with Lucius suddenly bringing it up again, she was so embarrassed she could barely speak.
Fortunately, Lucius didn't want to push Alice on the matter now and quickly moved on.
"Regardless of all that, I have to thank you for coming all the way here early in the morning."
"You don't have to mention it. After all, you and Camilla are the first friends I made in Sanctuary. I'll help you guys anytime I can!"
Hearing this, Lucius smiled and called her over.
"These two are some of my friends, but during their training, they suffered some injuries. Although they have applied some healing potions, I thought it would be best if someone healed them to make sure there are no lasting effects on their bodies. I thought about who I could call to help me out, and my thoughts landed on you. You were the most reliable person I could think of."
Hearing this, Alice puffed out her already awe-inspiring chest.
"I don't know much when it comes to fighting or other things, but when it comes to healing, I'll put myself against anyone out there!"
After saying this, Alice looked towards the two brothers with a soft smile on her face.
"Don't resist, okay? I'm trying to help you."
After saying this, she stretched out her hands, and a soft golden-white glow emitted from them.
The two brothers held their breath and quickly felt a strange sensation as a warm, fuzzy trace of energy penetrated their bodies. It didn't take long before their faces showed surprised expressions.
As fighters, the two brothers had an extreme understanding of their own bodies. They were even descendants of the Great Shield hero and were used to taking damage and dealing with it, so they had an even greater understanding of injuries.
It was because of this that they couldn't hold back their shock. They had been brutally tortured just a few hours prior, and although they had been healed by the quick action of high-grade healing potions, there were still hidden dangers left in their bodies.
This was inevitable as they suffered continuous torture without giving their bodies proper time to heal. In many ways, even the use of high-grade healing potions to heal such vicious bodily harm was nothing more than a glorious band-aid treatment.
But this healing was different. It seemed to seep deep into their bones and flesh, repairing their bodies on a cellular level.
As the healing went on, they could feel their bodies becoming more and more invigorated and filled with vitality.
As children of heroic families, they had experienced all sorts of healings, be it from experienced mages or priests from the Church of the Goddess of Light, and they could guarantee that they had never received such thorough healing in their lives.
Tyler was afraid that such a level of healing was already similar to that of high-ranking priests within the Church of the Goddess!
How could Lucius even meet someone of such a high level of healing? No! Why was she even an unarmed student in the academy? Surely, if her talent were known, it would have a bigger reputation than this.
But as the two brothers were having such thoughts, they suddenly realized something and turned to look at each other before looking back at themselves.
Although getting healed of such hidden dangers was a good thing, its complexity wiped out any traces of the horrific torture they had experienced the past night.
If they went to the main family and asked for help, claiming they had been brutally tortured and blackmailed, the last thing they would receive wouldn't be care and help but instead a derisive and terrifying slap for daring to discuss such nonsense.
Who would believe that someone in such an excellent state had been terrified?
If they tried to blame Lucius after being involved in a fight for him, they would just be accused of trying to abuse the power of the main family to settle personal grudges. If it concerned some no-name person, people might have turned a blind eye, but now that it involved someone as high-profile, there was no chance of that happening.
Their accusations wouldn't even be taken seriously; no, they might even be punished for saying something at all!
The main branch wouldn't forgive a mere branch family child for damaging the family interests and trying to use them as some sort of cheap hitman
