Chapter 154: Integrating with Second-life Core!
Chapter 154: Integrating with Second-life Core!
The red lines outlined that he has gained second-life in his battle core and mana pool. Now even if someone destroys his battle core or mana pool, they will regenerate but this effect is limited to one use.
Inside his body, a massive amount of fiery hot life force still wandered about. The battle core and mana pool wasn't enough to absorb the massive amount of life force of King Salmon.
The boiling heat of the fiery hot energy didn't even stay still for a second before it quickly spread though his limbs and bones, surpassing the scortching sensation he had experienced in full earlier.
The fiery hot energy pierced through every vein and organ of his body. It melded with his stomach, heart, veins, arteries, and all other internal organs. It also melded with all of his bone, including the bluish spine also called Devansha bone.
It was a very painful process!
The massive amount of life force was becoming a part of his body by compressing itself into his internal organs and veins. He felt like his organ and bones were being pressed and squeezed by the life force.
"Ugh!" Even in the face of the heart-wrenching pain, Whittaker continued to clench his teeth and refused to let out a scream.
This much amount of pain will not make him, a Devansha descendant scream!
Normally, this painful process lasted for several hours but the life force melded into each part of his body very fastly. From the looks of it, this process will end within two hours, just like what Noah calculated.
The streams of fiery hot energy continued to shrink at a fast speed for they became a part of his body. In two hours, each part of his body will be granted a second life. Even if someone destroys his heart, he won't die for the heart will regenerate rapidly.
An hour passed.
Whittaker remained silent. The previous hour was enough for him to become familiar with the pain of having internal organs and bones squeezed, crushed, and healed into a perfect state. He had gotten used to the pain that the process gives. That didn't mean the pain had become lesser. It was as painful as one can imagine.
However, Whittaker could easily withstand the pain. It's because he was a Devansha, and they can adapt to different situations and harsh conditions ten times, a hundred times, or more times faster than normal humans.
The rate of adaptability solely depended on the purity of their bloodline. In simple words, a normal human will break before torture but a Devansha people adapt to it, and their bodies believe that torture is "Normal" a part of life.
Pssh! Suddenly, black impurities began to release out of the pores of his body. The life force melding with his body has squeezed his internal organs and bones with so much force that impurities within them were released.
This has improved his physical condition and physiques.
[Endurance Increased: 1115]
[Physical defense increased: 1115]
He has obtained an extra reward and that caused him to smile due to happiness but he was also in pain. A beaming smile etched on his contorted face, making him look weirder than Jackie the clown. It was as if he wanted to cry yet laughed in turn.
Another hour passed, Whittaker's body was wholly covered in black impurities. He looked like a burnt cake. More importantly, each part of his body had a scarlet line drawn on it. The scarlet lines outlined the ability called second-life. He has gained second-life on each part of his body.
Although each part of his body has gained a second life, there were still a lot of streams of fiery hot energy left in his body.
The life force of the Scarlet-scaled Dragon Salmon has nowhere left to go except be released from Whittaker's body. Suddenly, It started to gush out from the pores of his body.
"Boom!" The impurities caked over his body were blasted by the tyrannical fiery streams of energy that brighten his room in a scarlet hue.
Bam!
Fiery hot energy gushed out from his body and forced open the windows. The red hue spread out of his room and reached to the skies.
Elder Zachary, Nina, Goguard, Earth golem guards, and the magical beast in the palace saw the bright Scarlet glow because a small area of the palace itself was shining red.
The red color on a dark night was extremely attractive.
Everyone inside the palace ground could see the scarlet blaze. The streams of fiery hot life force of King Salmon blazed the air and reached towards the clouded night skies, just like a dragon trying to leap over the golden gate.
They were captivated by its appearance. Furthermore, all of the magical beast lowered their heads, some even knelt. Its because the streams of fiery hot energy was the life force of an S-ranked beast, it contained traces of his presence. Due to this presence, the beasts ranked lower than B faced an innate suppression.
All of them were shocked by this, especially the horned python which chased after Whittaker.
Soon after, the suppression ended as the energy was nowhere to be seen.
Elder Zachary's mouth gaped open in surprise. He rubbed his eyes and looked again.
"What? He has integrated with the second-life core in such a short period. How could it be possible." He was amazed by the capabilities of Whittaker's constitution.
"Maybe it's because he's a Devansha," Nina said.
Elder Zachary nodded his head in agreement while thinking, 'That can be the only reason.'
Even though the Devansha clan was the imperial ruling family of the empire, there weren't many records about Devansha's in the awakened continent. The Empire existed 1000+ years ago and suddenly vanished one day, leaving behind little to no trace. Moreover, there were no records about what happened that day. That's why they had bare knowledge about Devansha.
Whittaker, on the other hand, received Noah's notification.
Congratulation! The Guardian has fully integrated with the second-life core. Now you won't be killed even if someone shatters all of your bones! Noah's monotone rang besides Whittaker.
Although Noah's words sounded eerie, Whittaker knew that he meant well.
"Haha, even though I have a second life, I'll try not to die. Death is very painful, after all!" Whittaker said while a pearl of laughers escaped his mouth.
When he opened his mouth to laugh, a putrid smell assaulted his nostril.
"Ahh! This smells horrible!" He shouted.
The Devansha descendent who didn't release a single shout when drowned in a sea of pain was hopeless in the face of the disastrous smell and was forced to release a moan of pain.
The smell was horrendous.
He called Elder sister Nina for help and she cleaned up the room, making it look all sparkly once again.
